Did changing the temperature sensor ever make the primary fan turn on or did you leave it connected direct? I’m having the same issue . Secondary ac fan comes on when turning on the ac . If I disconnect the sensor plug both will come on . When plugged in the primary turns on too late car is over heating

My temp guage only moves when ive driven 20 plus miles and stop. Then it moves zand my car might stall out. It takes at least 3 to 4 turns of the switch to crank. I was told the fuel pump was bad, then i was told to change the sensors. I changed the coolant sensor then my one fan that was working stopped. It clicks like its turning on buy it dont and the fan on the passenger doesn't come on no matter how hot the motor gets. Then when the motor gets hot my car drives real rough and cu5s back. Im trying not to mess my car up. It seems like Chevy made sure you had to change all this shit at the same time

Awh too bad I didn't watch this right when u posted it...the timing cover is somewhat easy to remove with oil pan on but putting it back in you need to drop the front end of the oil pan to put it in otherwise it's almost impossible to do without damaging the seals...also that waterpump gear seal is supposed to go on after cover is installed...there's 2 rubber rings on it (one black and the other orange I think but the inside seal is supposed face inward and outer seal is supposed to face outward...most dont realize it but if u can see both seals coming out then it's not going to work and eventually it's going to leak again...there's a specialized tool to install that one seal but you can also use a socket that'll fit not only in the teeth of the gear but also small enough for the seal to slide over it and into place on the cover without causing the inner seal to fold over

what did you do? just change the front sensor? my 96 is saying hot? I notice the fan on the driver side was not turning on. the passenger fan works when the car is on with and without the ac on.

Just wet sand with some 2000 grit wet or dry sandpaper and buff it out with some compound at a slow speed
