Runaway RangeRunner Interior Measurements
Переглядів 3 тис.Рік тому
I had been looking for the interior measurements such as wall to window, wall to door, window from floor so I could better plan out the layout but I could not locate what I wanted. Hopefully this will help someone out there with their purchase and layout design.

Great idea Ed! We've been thinking about putting a wheel on ours. Thanks for sharing that!
Great start....
Love your idea! Thinking about going even bigger with 10 inch wheels. Not sure if this would help or be too cumbersome.
I had the same thoughts between the 8" and 10" before deciding one the 8".
Great video. Glad you put that video out. That is a great idea that a lot of people can use, including ourselves. Happy Camping, Ben, Tiffany & Gracie🌸
Thank you for your kind words. Much appreciated.
Pretty clever. I put a flat plate on the tongue jack. It’s easier for me. I do have one of the trailer dolly’s, but mostly use it to back the trailer into the garage or to pull it out as it is an odd angle with the propane on the side.
Thank you. It is nothing that is original from me. Just something that I put on my Rangerunner and wanted to share.
@@GetOutBeHappy Glad you did, I could see using the tow strap for a few situations! I am NOT a good backer'inner and usually end up putting my RangeRunner side to side and then the canopy and Gazebo lined up to make it easier for my wife to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. We keep the porta potty in the gazebo and use walls to close off the canopy at night for privacy.
@chadi7173 thank you for your comment.
My 1500x stopped working in 2 weeks. I returned. My second 1500x stopped working in 2 days. Now on my third one. They are total dog shit.
Thanks I cannot get my beds right because I need room to get up in the middle of the night they need a 10 foot model and maybe 6.5 feet wide or go 7. thanks maybe i can make this work. 73
I actually changed my setup to have the bed in an L configuration and mybwife andbI really like the new setup. I have not had a chance to make a video of it, but @RunawayAndSeemor3 has a really good video on their setup, and it is where we got the idea. With that being said, I have found a 5x12x5 cargo trailer that I think I am going to convert. It will give me 30" for a rear kitchen and 9.5' for a sleeping area.
@@GetOutBeHappy yeah that's good but I'm 6 ft 2 in tall. 73
I see their true colors are showing. They should post all these measurements on their sales page. One day when the customer is always right again maybe places like this will apreciate every sale large and small. 73
I found it very frustrating that it was difficult to get any measurements before having it in my drive.
@@GetOutBeHappy well in my situation the trailer isn't long enough to do a L configuration, you figure a 30 inch wide bed at less than six feet long no problem there but to add 30 plus 74 inches that is over 8 feet. 9 or 10 feet long would do it. They are not going to do that for so few people. I would ask or rent a runaway trailer and go to their yearly meet. I could just go during business hours and ask or just call them. 73
Nice video. Thanks for sharing. subd & 👍16
And thank you for the nice comment and sub.
How Long is it when packed up please and thank you?
It's about 4' long.
Thanks, brother! Just getting around to setting mine up for the first time. Great tutorial. Thanks again!!!!
Happy that it helped.
We love ours. Use it probably half the places we camp. Having the fire where you want it is a huge win.
I have always liked it but this time made is even better.
Great video. This looks like it may be something we have to add to our supplies. Happy Camping! Ben, Tiffany & Gracie
Thank you. It was just one of those times you use a product, and you realize how nice it really is.
That’s great! We switched to a propane fire pit last year. My wife has bad allergies / asthma so wood isn’t the best for her. Is that camp in Indiana? I’m always looking for new places.
We were at Wax Corps of Engineers in Central Kentucky. We also have a propane firepit that we like to use from time to time. Thanks for the comment.
I'll never buy a canopy without cross bracing. Without it the sides will bow in under very low winds.
It's about 4' long when collapsed.
Nice to see this, I was one of the Forest Service folks working in Blackwell that day. I can see myself in this video lol, thank you for sharing it!
You folks were a great group of people and were very nice to speak with. I'm sure it was nice for you to have such light attendance to where you could enjoy your day as well.
@@GetOutBeHappy it was, made it easier on us and the visitors to have good experiences. You guys were awesome too with your play by play of events as totality approached. In my video I posted you can hear one of you in your group calling out "Diamond Ring!"
Great deal
I agree. Just couldn't pass it up.
MAHALO NUI LOA JUDGE CAPRIO ! ÀMENE KE AKUA !
Thank you
Glad you got it sorted. Could have been a real headache.
I look at these things as things break, but it comes down to how companies take care of the issue. I am very happy with how they took care of me, and I am looking forward to having power for my boondocking trip this weekend.
Not really that many people there as I had thought there would be.
The forestry division was also very surprised about the turnout. I bet there were less than 100 spectators & 75 might be a more realistic number.
Looking great. I’m considering one of these myself. Could you measure the space between the roof bars as well as width. I’m thinking about rigid solar panels.
Thank you for the compliment. I'm camping right now, but I will get the bars measured once I get a moment.
@@GetOutBeHappy As you should be. Enjoy 👍🏻
@miamic70 The front to center of front bar is 37". Center of front bar to center of back bar 29". Rear to center of back bar 31.75".
perfect solution!
Thank you. To be honest, as much as we liked it, we disliked it more. We have ripped it all out and going with an L bed design to give us more open floor space.
The design looks great. Looks heavy though? Is that 5/8-3/4" plywood? Curious why not 1/2" plywood? How much weight do you think it added to the trailer? Folding and sliding it into couch mode looked so smooth and easy to do. Well done Sir. Thanks for sharing. Happy and safe travels to you both.
Thanks for the compliment. Yes, it is 3/4", I wanted the extra rigidity that the 3/4" provides over 1/2" that I would have to add extra cross bracing underneath. For me, I would rather have a little additional weight vs. the extra bulk of framing underneath, taking up precious storage space. With all that being said, we tore it all out and are rebuilding as a L bed to give more open floor space. Live and learn. LOL
This was very helpful, would really like to have that level of measurement details for the outside.
Very nice campground. I do like Site 89. I agree I would turn the camper. Nice we have that option!
This is where its at! Easy on gas mileage, easy to tow and backup. Heavy rain storm, better then a tent anyday. Built in ac! Easy to get in the back country.
I agree. It has made camping much nicer.
Awesome work Ed i love what youve done and very roomy with the full size. Great couch mode too
That's looking great 👍 awesome work. So glad we got to hang out this weekend.
Thank you Nicole, and yes it was great meeting the twonof you this weekend.
I sprayed all the joints with Ed-40. Mine just springs open now on pavement.
Nice
So you have to make the bed every time you want to use it to sleep on?
Only halfway. I fold the pads at the head forward, and then when it is in couch mode, the back is twice as thick, and I fold the sheets so they are neet. When I bring the bed out, I flip the head pads back and then bring up the sheets.
We are going with some friends for a week towards the end of October. We have sites 94-96, us having 95. Good thing we just have a pop up because that looks pretty short! But the view looks amazing. This is a new place for all of us and we can't wait to check it out! Thanks so much for the walk thru!
It's a nice park, and I really like most of the waterfront sites. Just make sure you bring extra leveling blocks as they will be needed, even for short campers.
What is your tow vehicle? How does it tow? Curious if you notice condensation issues.
We were using a 2010 Chrysler Town & County and are now using a 2012 Subaru Outback. Both vehicles have pulled the Rangerunner without issue. Concerning condensation issues, we haven't used it in the winter yet to experience condensation, but I can imagine there will be significant condensation without ventilation.
Thanks for taking the time to record this “how to”! Love the elevator-pitch and product comparison! You make it look easy!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is basic information that Runaway should have on its website! A website that sucks, has zero information, has no detailed options list, nor detailed specifications, etc… It’s 2023 and I was considering a Venturist but I am having 2nd thoughts about this company.
Hi, I like your channel very much. May I get your email address?
I also purchased this canopy from Costco. Absolutely love it. Very easy setup and take down. Plan to purchase another(if still in store) August 2023. Covina ca
Great to hear!
how tall are you?
I am 5'7"
100 dollars at heroics same one Coleman 13 /13
Haven't heard of Heroics but that is a killer deal.
Hurry up and get done so i can drop mine off for your handy work 😁
LOL, we are actually getting ready to move, so I haven't been able to get it completed. Good news is that it is done enough to be used.
Looks good, enjoy!🙋♀️😍🇨🇦‼️
Thank you
You got a great deal! The racks put on by Range Runner is $450 alone. The front carrier is not cheap either!
We were happy with the deal we got & have been enjoying it.

You're welcome
Just pucked one up!! Thanks for your vid!
Hope you enjoy it!
Thank you , I have this and have never opened it for years , today we struggled and found your video omg thank you it's up. Secret is go in center snd raise . Lol
Glad the video was able to help. We use ours a few weekends a month and on our 2nd year. Still enjoying it.
bed design is brilliant! setting it up reminds me of my Chrysler Stow N Go seating!
I had never thought about it that way, but now that I do, I think you are on point. Thank you for the kind comment.
Thank you for the video it is very helpful 👍
Thank you & glad it was helpful.
I just bought one. thank u for the video. I have not assembled mine yet but i think those j stakes may be for guide rope/wire?
Thank you for your comment, and yes they are.
I love you tube. #struggle until I saw this video Thanks!!! 🤯
Glad it helped you out.
You did the part I needed to see while under the canopy so you couldn’t see what to actually do.
Sorry about that. You are correct that I should have done an inside shot. Thank you for your comment.
Good job my friend thanks 🙏
Thank you too.
