2000 Ford F-350 V10 Super Duty Neutral Safety/Backup Switch
Ford 2000 F-350 Super Duty V10 Neutral Safety/Backup Switch Range Sensor. If your shift lever is stiff or hard to move, the NSS may be failing. The O-rings in the switch seem to dry up and fold over which prevents the switch sweeper from rotating in the body of the part.
You will need a 5/16 Socket to remove the 2 bolts that hold the NSS to the transmission.
You can test that the restriction is not in the Steering column or cable by disconnecting the Shift cable from the transmission lever (make sure you mark the cable location first!), and verifying that the shift lever operates freely. With the shift cable *connected*, you can test the actual NSS part by removing the two 5/16 bolt from the NSS and checking if the body will rotate freely on the shaft. Make sure to mark the exact position of the switch before you remove the bolts. Or put the transmission in Neutral (wheels blocked, parking brake on) and then align the mark on the white ring with the mark on the block body and then tighten down the bolts.

DeWalt 18V XRP Conversion to 20V Lithium ION
Переглядів 38 тис.4 роки тому
DeWalt 18V XRP LiON upgrade. My old NiCad 18V XRP batteries were dying so I decided to try and upgrade them to Lithium Ion since DeWalt DC9096 18V NiCads retail for more than $75 each. The DCA1820 adapter allows you to use the newer 20V Max batteries on 18V tools, so it seemed very possible. I found I can do the upgrade to 2.5AH LiON for about $30 each and get more capacity (AH's), and fast cha...

    CPE tech support told me that adding a fuel filter would constitute a modification that would invalidate the warranty on my 2500 W inverter genset which began to hunt and cutout at less than 30 hours and one month old. They told me that the carb might be bad and that it was back ordered two months out. This model requires that you dismantle half of the case to remove the carb but I did it and then cleaned the carb. Runs great...for about 4 or 5 minutes. Manual says that the fuel valve may be dirty and it is acting like its is switched off or nearly so. There are no instructions about cleaning the valve anywhere. I am starting to think that the single integrated valve/choke/kill switch is not such a good thing. Never had any problem with my Hondas with separate fuel c/o valves.

    • @timgoihl
      @timgoihl 10 місяців тому

      You could do what I term, "a consumer managed warranty..." Buy another generator and either swap out the carb and then return this one as defective, or just return your other one saying it doesn't run right under the new receipt. Like a lemon law, which is what you got!

      It's what we call mason sand in Wisconsin. The next step up with the pebbles in it is called torpedo sand you don't want that. Although I do think some people use it. I don't think you want to deal with the pebbles in the smoothing and cutting and rolling.

    Hello. Great videos. I bought the same machine from a guy, who had only used it once. I noticed you barely had any jams, and put pretty decent sized scoops in. We had, I would say a very good mix with ours, but the machine jammed a lot, sometimes we would barely put any in, and the weight of it would jam the ram. the instruction manual says to adjust the crank arm if needed, but doesnt say anything else about it. Did you have to do that at all with your Klutch machine?

    • @timgoihl
      @timgoihl 11 місяців тому

      We were not able to fill the hopper. Tom was actually metering it in off the shovel quite carefully. The only jams I encountered was if an errant Stone got in the mix or sometimes we would get mortar balls in the mix from the mixer. Most of the time I was able to just turn off the power and turn the belt manually backwards a few inches and then restart it and it would work.

      I can mow very close with the zero turn. the push mower gets closer. So , yeah, I still trim maybe every other mow to keep the concrete showing, but it is way easier to trim against the curb. I did back-fill with dirt and seed, which I probably did not need to do, as more grass grows close to the curb... it will naturally fill in.

    According to schematics, for t-con rgbw cycle test, you have to pull pin 44 to 3,3V. Pin 44 is ground (as pins 42,43,45,46). How does this work?

    • @timgoihl
      @timgoihl Рік тому

      I'm not sure what I said in the video, but it is Test Point TP44 as shown on Page 74 of the service manual. I dont know what pin it is on LVDS CN1... on Pg 76 of my own notes I have GND X'ed out and I wrote via tp44 and it works. It could be a pull-down resistor on TCON I suppose? Maybe thats why I found TP44 on the R412 1K resistor I mentioned... Do you actually has a Schemat for the TCON board? Maybe the Pg76 connector pinout is saying "the main board supplies gnd on this pin," and thats why you have to remove the lvds cables during the test, to prevent a short to ground!

I guess since you have audio it does imply that the video chip is working somewhat and that your problem is the video cable between the mainboard and tcon or the tcon itself. Did you reseat cables on both ends? Then I would test tcon... Check the power supplies on the board, and voltages at the caps. If I remember, the t-con must have a screw to the chassis for gnd when cover is off.
