The oncoming storm.
Come and watch the trains with me from the bridge. There’s a storm approaching and the lightning and thunder are intensifying. How long until it rains??!

Over the weekend, Danny (aka various_multiple_units) and I went to see our friends the SETG at Strawberry Hill Depot. We are always amazed by what they do with the full-scale version of our beloved model VEP units. This really is proper railway preservation at its finest!! We th...

Yes! Gordon is alive! Not under its own power today but shoes down and all train systems running (it was toasty and warm!). 27th January 2024, and an unannounced event (which drew 100s of train enthusiasts) was held at London Waterloo for Gordon Pettitt ( the human)’s birthday. Too and tailed by class 73s, the unit was escorted from Strawberry hill depot to London Waterloo. Mr Pettitt’s train p...

A well know problem ironed out during testing by BR in the early 1990s. Turns out when a different driver was on shift, the problem didn’t recur…..

How did you make your class 455’s? They are my fav Favourite locomotive!
Yes! Yes it was.
This is Shalford? Next stop Chilworth etc? Goodness I don’t even recognise it. I used to come through here every day on the way to school in Guildford. It used to be much more ‘open’ less foliage!
Hello, I wonder if you can help ? I'm having a class 310 EMU made for me and the person who's making the model is going to put the correct ends on each of the coach units so that I can put Corridor Gangway Connectors on. The person making the model can't advise me all that well on corridor connections because with the models that he's makes he has never put them on and prefers to leave that down to the individual, so could you possibly advise me as to which corridor connectors would be suitable for the class 310 as I'd like it to look as correct as possible. So if you are able to help steer me in the right direction perhaps giving me details of connectors you may have used or whether you think rubber ones are better over cardboard ones, Mark 1 or Mark 2 connectors etc. then I would be most grateful, thanks ever so much for your time and I look forward to hearing from you. Kind Regards, Chris.
Hi Chris. I don’t use concertina type vestibule doors. But would think mk2 ones would suit a 310. I’d love to see your model. If you are on Twitter I am NSE_Latchmere. 👍👍
Did you actually get a 90s camera or is it editing
No. It’s an iPhone app! 👍
@@NSE_Latchmere please tell me which one as I need it

I am thinking of making a NSE layout
Layout looks amazing it brings back a lot of memories for me
11 months - and a farewell song - is that it for Latchmere? I'm getting sadder by the moment....
Nice
Can you please do a more detailed version of this film particularly the wiring. Great idea Thanks
Thanks Richard. Yes. The wiring is a different challenge worthy of its own video. I will try and make the time to do a video.
It's a great to see you on UA-cam! Great start!
