Yup, a lot of people (including me) have beaten this laptime now but at the time of uploading (which was 4 months ago) these karts were 6 days old and this was the current lap record at that time. Unfortunately they changed the tyres on the karts so it is hard to even get mid 36s laptimes now

@@AidanTheFootyCoach .... Wow I didn't know what laptimes cadet karts could get that's amazing. Did you get it recently? What is the cadet karts lap record? I know the track record is a 35.5 which was set at a Thursday elite members session but I never paid much attention to the cadet karts since I haven't been to this track for like 3 months

Yep the karts now are much slower now though since I was told the tyres got changed or something so they are weird now, plus this was when the karts were 6 days old so the current track record is a 35.5 although right now it might be impossible to get 36 sec laptimes because of the new tyres. Haven't been there in like two months though so not sure

At the time when I set this lap time they were 6 days old, now they are probably about 3-4 months old so can still be considered "new", at least compared to the 4 and a half year old karts they had

To me they feel more solid to drive. The brakes and acceleration feel great and smooth as well as the steering which is consistent and not too stiff or too light. Supposedly they are meant to be much more equal than the average rental karts and this is see by how the marshals and staff actually care about the karts when I was there which as good to see. Overall I found them to be much more enjoyable to drive than any rental karts I was in before. @@Oskar.M Okay, thank you! I do agree that sometimes the rental karts have huge parity problems, I entered the Dunkeswell Rental Championship twice, the first time I had the worst kart, it had no straight line pace meaning I was a sitting duck. The second was a lot better, although sadly I got penalised for taking out someone, when I was taken out instead, it was simply due to the aftermath which complicated things. The rentals at Pigeon really fall apart though! They are really old.

@@OnTheMoveTransport I have never driven rentals at either clay or dunkeswell but I heard a lot of people complaining about the dunkeswell ones

@@Oskar.M The Dunkeswell ones were unused for over a year after Nigel Mansell sold the track, the karts were reused, they are an older Sodi type.

I definitely drove 13 on the day but I'm not quite sure if it was in my first heat or my last two races

My apologies but I don't actually know much about bookings at that track. it isn't a local track since it is about 3 hours away from where I live and I only went there for practice with my team the day before the race which was about £57 for 30 min and the day after which was the day of the SRK championship which is shown in this video so unfortunately I am unable to answer your question.

Its just because its the wet line for that corner since there is a ton of grip near the moss on the left when its wet and you get a better exit compared to a few other lines there

Lauren just happened to try and go up my inside on that lap
