As a book lover my only problem now in visiting Scotland would be all the suitcases I would need to buy to bring the books home as well as whether their is a weight allowance for the plane to take off. Nice guy but I always get the feeling that he is just re-reading a guidebook to you and doesn't really add anything to it. By following the guidebook so closely it makes you think, why should I even go there if youve already told me everything about it. Look forward to going through all your videos as I maybe plan a trip to Scotland in the Summer.

I tend to be a bit tentative about going to off-the-beaten-path places and so would have missed a lot of the beautiful heather and trees, rivers, beaches which you showed not to mention your enchanting smile; in any case, I am so glad that you are more adventurous than me and really appreciate your channel. As more of an armchair traveller I might add one historical thing which I have recently read about. Apparently, a Sinclair left the Orkney Islands with a full entourage for Nova Scotia in 1399 almost a century before Columbus though his grandson lived on the same Portuguese Island and perhaps gave him the urge to explore North America in more depth but there is a huge mystique about the first travels that few people would know about if you ever get a chance to read "Holy Grail across the Atlantic". It seems you could get to North America quite easily by staying at Faroe Islands, then Iceland and Greenland before hitting Newfoundland like the Vikings did even before Sinclair.

Just north of Oban, on a coastal path, there’s a “faërie tree” at the top of the hill. Its bark is deeply studded with coins, pressed edgewise into the tree as payment to the wee folk for a safe passage.

Thomas the Rhymer met the queen of ELFLAND. Fairies are not mentioned. The "stone circles" in the Fairy Glen are "tourist made" and the people of Skye really, really wish they would stop doing it! So, a main takeaway: Scotland is not a theme park, please don't treat it like one.
