Dan Aetherman's miraculous machines and amazing installations allow the viewer to discover and to plunge into a distant and forgotten future of the Victorian era - a time when steam airships dominated the skies and the legendary NAUTILUS the sea.
Dan Aetherman is a Swiss steampunk artist born in Zurich on 9 march 1968, who, from a very young unusually spent most if his time roaming all kinds of recycling places, always on the search for old machines and strange devices. The unstoppable power has been driving him on for more than twenty-five years and has materialised in these fantastical and fictional machines, composed of extremely fine and diverse materials such as wood, brass, copper and glass. All this inventions make up a unique and singular steampunk universe that has fascinated visitors in Switzerland and abroad. This universe can be found in the artist's private home and laboratory.

Finished the restoration of this rare "Corona" gramophone. One of the motor springs was broken and I replaced it with a maybe 100 years old one from an other gramophone motor which I discovered in my storage. Now it plays again!!! Just finished the restauration of this two amazing machines. The German "Handlocher T Loch 1m" punches the holes into the paper tape and the "Punch Tape Reader" from the SIEMENS Teletype T37i reads the 5 bit code and print it to paper. A short demonstration of my small UKW radio and the FM radio transmitter. The transmitter uses the bluetooth connection to the smart phone and streams the music to the air using the FM band. Woow! So wird also die beste Schokolade gemacht! Danke fürs Zeigen. Ich wundere mich nur gerade wozu der Arbeitsschritt bei 3:46 ist... Warum wird es auf den Arbeitstisch gestrichen?
Diesem Arbeitsschritt sagt man "Tablieren". Die Schokolade wird vorkristallisiert, damit sie später perfekt glänzt und den perfekten Bruch hat. Das ist die eigentliche Kunst des Chocolatiers!
