    I've been meaning to this early work of his for a long time . The Sinfonia Concertante is unforgettable I played it with my highschool orchestra and a very well-trained violist for highschool graduation !

    Too fast, and the sound is not special, he should have kept with the french system. He is not reallly as good on the German system as he was on the french system. The sound is a bit trampled/ hollow and there are some air leaks when he plays forte in the triplets in the third movement, which is typical of french system trying to play german, big packet of slow moving air in a instrument which requires a lot more air support....

    Wow, this concerto is definitely different than the other concertos Mozart composed. The oboe, viola and cello also had their solo parts besides the 2 soloist violins.

      True. In this regard the instrumentation is similar to some of the later piano concertos - the double variation middle movement of 482 comes to mind.

      He is one of two solo bassoonists of the Paris Opera.....the first ever to play German Bassoon in the Paris Opera Orchestra.
