How did you know the values of the fuse ? (125C & 10 AMP) .... in my YONGNUO YN560IV the fuse has nothing written on it. Do they use the SAME fuses ???

I tried it on a Canon RP. It doesn’t work your way. I put a few drops of the IPA on top of the Shutter button. Now it is not sticky anymore 🎉. Thanks for the Video!

Hello, does the resistor located where the flash dish is have this combination of colors? Green Brown Black Purple Brown. It burned, I saw the photo on a site where there is a link to this film. Isn't the fourth band by any chance another color like red?

This camera has two contactors, so it is recommended to open up and clean the shutter button.

the downvotes are probably from people who have never actually handled the camera. the rangefinder is incredibly small, imagine trying to look through a hole the size of or smaller than the diameter of a pencil eraser. and the framing viewfinder is also very small, about the size of a micro sim card. believe it or not, this video does it justice how small these windows are. beautiful camera, just challenging to use if you're not used to these very old shooters.

I soldered a cable between the fuse connections. It improved, and firing became more regular. Since the fuse is a safety mechanism, strong continuous flashes should be avoided. Let the flash cool after a session. It is also possible to make a simple fuse with a piece of tin (for welding). Tin melts at low temperature (I didn't try this because I would have to remove the circuit.). To discharge the capacitor, I used a common 127v bulb connected to two cables. Connect to the red and black outputs of the main capacitor (400v !!).

i put batteries into the flash and turned it on.I saw the display turned on and gone suddently..I opened the battery case and smelled burn.The battery was super hot and the flash didnt work after that..Any idea what happened?

worked on my 560 IV...thank you! wish there was a way to replace the fuse but it looks like planned obsolescence to me. For what these cost I didn't expect to be selling the when I retired but I did expect a little more than about 800 flashes before it died. Oddly enough, it was working fine on a location shoot...using 1/4 power. finished the shoot, shut it off and then it just wouldn't restart. However, 20 min. and some solder later, I'm good to go.

Hi! I have a Yongnuo 560 IV and my problem is that in the room the flash work perfectly but if I go outside and the temperature is under 10°C the flash doesn't work. If I go back in the room and wait a few minutes (25-30 min) the flash work perfectly again. Can you help for me? Thank you.

hello can you help me i have the same speedlite theres a display and it firing flash but the problem is when firing flash it has loud spark sound and the fuse is looks like in the video theres some melting white color in the fuse what do you think is the problem? my flash has display and firing the loud sound when firing is the only problem how can i fix it please help thanks.

I would advise anyone who follows this to use an absolutley minimal amount of alcohol, or to give their camera aaaaaages to dry thoroughly. (Although firstly, I would advise them to try applying a little bit of alcohol to the edges of the button using a cotton bud to see if that clears the immediate problem.) I copied the video with my Pentax K-50. After leaving it for 24 hours the battery compartment still smelled of isopropanol, so I put a small fan near it to improve circulation. A day later it didn't smell anymore so I packed it up (lens-side down). Two weeks later I took my camera out on holiday and I had a shadow along the botton edge of the viewfinder (which wasn't coming out on any of the pictures). Turns out some isopropanol hadn't evaporated and had found its way onto the Auto-Focus Screen and reacted with the plastic. When I opened my camera to investigate, there was also little telltale watermark on the front of the... well, the "square" frame which is inside the lens-attaching "circle" on the front of the camera. I bought another AF screen from Japan and it's fine now. The only other problem I had was that the front scroll-wheel on my K-50 lost its grease and became stiff. I've applied a little WD40 and it's smooth enough to work, but it's not quite the same. So anyway, 1) try applying the alcohol directly to the button using a cotton bud first, 2) avoid using too much isopropanol and 3) give it as much time to dry as you can possibly afford.

Just fixed my trusty but old canon EOS 20D. Took ages to find isopropyl alcohol in London but eventually got it from Maplin in spray form. Follow the instructions in this video. It really works.

Why do you lose autofocus? I have seen several other videos online and nobody mentions this.

I have a similar problem with my new 510EX, I'm struggling to open it, Do you know to fix these also? Even with new batteries, when i turn it on i get a very weak brief light from the pilot led. Apart from that it appears dead. It worked once but that's it. Any information would be awesome. Thanks.

I try it on my YN 560 IV, but it won't fix it. The symptom is the led display switch on when you hold the power button, but when you let go the button, it will immediately turn off. There's no sound either. Any clue?

wait, this means you are making a bridge in the fuse, so if you have a problem it will destroy you flash without it right ? the cleanest solution would be changing the fuse then

Friend when such cases occur ? something happened to me was because I put the same but inadvertently batteries with opposite poles and reheated , I took the batteries immediately and let cool and then try again and no longer on. Do you think that this technique will serve me ?

hello, I have also yongnuo, and a specific problem since recent. ettl mode doesn't work...wireless or in hotshoe it fires and everything seems normal, except picture is dark, like the flash has not fired. In all other modes then ettl it works normally. Since now I havent found anyone with solution for this problem...:/
