GCO Logos Class - 1 Peter 1:10-12 "A Great Salvation"
Переглядів 147 годин тому
December 1, 2024: 1 Peter 1:10-12 A Great Salvation In verses 3 to 12, Peter is using the significant theme of salvation to anchor the troubled and drifting soul experiencing intense trial and persecution. Verses 10-12 zero in on a topic that the Old Testament prophets found very worthy of concentrating on. Peter's point: if salvation was a central enough subject for prophets and angels to inve...

Beautiful message
May you choose every morning and every day to pick up God’s sovereign grace and to live and shine in it… there is nothing we can do to gain a greater place in His house when we depart from here, but there sure is a lot we can do to wreck that and ruin it for ourselves… always remember that being sinFULL is basically just being turned inward on ourself… we only wreck life for ourselves but God through Christ only allows us to live in His grace
Thank you for this message.
Praise Jesus! I love hearing the great things the Lord does. I'm so happy this man found the one and only God and is forever changed and forgiven This testimony made my heart smile. Praise you Jesus! You are such a loving Father ❤
Absolutely right on!
He (God) has regenerated all repenting sinners (2 Corinthians 5:18-19, 21a): Each new believer receives a new nature.
In context Romans 10:4 the word “end” is goal if the Greek word teleo , sunteleia or possibly Akron was used I could understand the reasoning. Let’s read again with Paul’s understanding in context; For Christ is the goal of the law for a condition acceptable to god to all that believeth ! Therefore the goal of the law was to deliver you from sin not to be sinless but to sin less as sin is identified as transgression of the commandments 1 Jn 3:4 works in many cases means to bear fruit. Furthermore fulfill means to make replete in the sense of filling up. I’m conclusion Jesus simply said fill the commandments with love write them on your harts.with love for him keep them so you will be rendered innocent when I return. To add more fuel to the fire know this rabbinical Judaism is not the law of Moses once this light comes on traditional views break down the wall of partition. With love I write to you Shabbat Shalom god changes not
No other passages in the Bible could be as relevant as Habakkuk 3 v 16 & 17 to the current situations the whole world is grappling with. It brings strength to those in total despair, and offer an escape to the malaise we , often, find ourselves shackled by. It offers an alternative to the perilous world we’re in, and redirect our attention toward the one and only, who brings us into existence. The devastation of lives we’ve been witnessing recently, and of which we’re still grieving , is a testament of the frivolous nature of our lives. It forces us to think of, by displaying in front of our eyes with vivid pictures, our common humanity, and vulnerability ,thereby, leaving no room for debates. The serenity of the moment ,with all of the intricacies it entails, speaks to our inadequacy to understand the many facets of life, far beyond and above our capacity to resolve, not even the most gifted amongst us. With, perhaps, great humility and due diligence, we’re called to sit back and reinvent ourselves to see through us the neighbor living around us that we ,once, couldn’t stand for reasons of class, age gap, race, ethnicity and more. Maybe, if we saw ourselves as one , a lot of horrors of the past never would have occurred, and the world we’re living now, would have been far different than what it is, where crimes keep mounting and fear runs rampant. With the lack of morality, the airwaves filled with profanity, and human beings become accustomed to committing any senseless act they so choose, as if they were fun, we know history will keep repeating itself. The prospect for us, human beings , to reconcile ourselves to uproot evil in our midst is still a far-fetched dream, given the scourge of violence recurring at an alarming rate all across the world. What exactly have we benefited in the carnage we’ve seen? What purpose does it serve to stand in the way of progress of our fellow human beings? Why can’t we embrace ourselves, by promoting the interests of our brothers and sisters, just like we would have done for ourselves? Is our conscience still alive? Why is it that easy, and fun to obstruct ourselves, by openly or surreptitiously undermining the progress of our neighbors? What’s so fun in murdering ourselves ? Why is it becoming so cool, and so easy to commit crimes against ourselves? Is it that difficult a thing to do, to love ourselves and honor the sanctity of life? There is alternative to violence, and it is love. Shelter your brothers and sisters in your heart, and you would never feel any antipathy towards them, and the same goes for them as well. With that in mind, we’ll be crown ourselves as champions, by creating a better world for ourselves to pass on to the next generations . We can, and we must.

God bless you Pastor Mike and God continue to use it greatly, excellent preachers of Romans ...
Real Christianity are the people who follows the teachings of Jesus, not Paul ... So to be a true follower of Christ one must follow the old testament laws (Matthew 5:17) and worship only the God of jesus (john 4:23)
Or Real Christianity is that which takes into consideration all of Scripture knowing that it all points to Jesus and how Jesus commanded us to take it seriously and obey it. Jesus is God, the old and new testaments are the Word of God, and because Christ is our intersessor we do not have to sacrifice for the atonement of sin.
@@winstonrweber Unmmmm from the statement above only the TRUE worshippers worship the Father (john 4:23)... Do you worship the Father or Jesus himself?
@@faiz8830 I worship God the Father and God the Son. While they are different persons, they are the same being.
@@winstonrweber that's what you do... And not what Jesus taught.... Tell me, how did Jesus teach how to pray in Matthew 6:9? Are you a follower of Jesus?
@@faiz8830 I am a follower of Jesus. Tell me, how would you expect the most godly person to act on earth? Would he be an atheist? Or would he model how we ought to live? Jesus says that eternal life is knowing the Father and knowing himself (John 17:3). I don't mean to come off harsh, but you do not know Jesus if you do not know him as God. Isaiah and John testify to you that Jesus is the YHWH of the old testament (John 12:41). The doctrine of the trinity is found in the person of Jesus Christ who is the one who makes God known. John 1:18 clearly says that no one has ever seen God and yet the only God, the one who is at the Father's side, has made him known.
What a wonderful sermon! What a wonderful God! To God be the Glory! Thank you for sharing this message. Greetings from Brazil.
