    Idk seems like a good deal for someone like me. I wanted to get the a6700 solely for streaming long hours. Found out it overheats then decided to go with fx30. Now I'm looking at ZV-E10II. I would save 800 euros and get the same image quality. No IBIS kinda sucks though but most of the other features don't even matter to me. Thoughts? ZV-E10 II can do 4k 30 over USB.

      @trouble2732 - Hey legend, In my opinon, the decision I would make in your cicumstance (assuming the A6700 really is a $800 difference.. I would first look at the second-hand market, If I'm unable to find an A6700 for closer to a $400 euro difference, then I would get the ZVE10-II assuming you're only going to be using it for Live-Streaming in 4K and nothing else. In my opinon, however, the problem still lies in the fact that I believe the resell value for the ZVE10-II will be absolutely horrible. Whereas, the A6700 will be extremely value for years to come. In addition to that, since you're in a studio environment, the likelihood of the A6700, or any camera for that matter, overheating is very low. If it does become an issue, you could literally just buy a ulanzi fan for heaps cheap, and attach that to your camera to prevent overheating. When you travel, and as your develop in your content creation journey, you would've wished that you purchased the A6700 instead, since it can literally do everything. You could use it for photos, graphics, promotional content, vlogging, etc.. etc. Hence, for me, I'ld still purchase the A6700 (ideally on the second-hand market).

    I feel you dude. ive been looking into upgrading from my canon m50 but after watching around 30 videos from content creators who have reviewed the mark 2, the i can't imagine that the extra €300-400 is worth (it in my use case) to get a more sensible menu. You seem to be saying the same.

    • @EdwardChlela
      @EdwardChlela 6 днів тому

      I’m not too familiar with Canon cameras, but what I can say, is that-unless you personally feel you’ve outgrown your current camera and can no longer continue developing your craft and learning new intuitive ways of bringing your visions to life (with your current setup), then you should ideally work towards an upgrade/investment. However, make sure you select the correct option and don’t ‘downgrade’, which I believe (with my use case), I’ld be doing with the ZV-E10 Mark II (with both pricing, no mechanical shutter and no IBIS). I’ll be saving to invest into the A6700 (this’ll be a camera I use for the next 5 years-easily)

    Great video as always. If possible, could you test the new Mark II kit lens with the original ZV-E10? I’m really curious about how the OSS + Active Mode works on the older camera model. The original kit lens doesn’t seem to provide the best results, and there’s not much info out there about how Sony’s new optical plus active stabilization works together in the updated kit lens. It would be awesome to see a comparison or review! Thanks a lot!

    I live in France, and we have a 20 % tax on Sony cameras. The price here is the same as Australia. Don't forget that American prices are always quoted without sales tax. They can vary for each state but are usually around 8%. At B+H in New York, the camera with tax is around 1080 dollars . That's around 1650 Australian dollars. Taxes on cameras are always higher outside of the United States.

    • @EdwardChlela

      You’ve raised a really clever point here man, this didn’t even come to mind. But it’s strange that America don’t already include their Tax as part of the disclosed price (Like Australia), and also strange that the tax is different depending on which American state you’re from 🤔 This I believe, could clear up the price discrepancy, but despite this, it doesn’t change the fact that the price itself is absurd!

    That price was 100% absurd. There are only 3 reasonable upgrades that I can really consider, 4k 60 with better rolling shutter, battery, and dynamic range. With that price, i would rather buy fx30 just by adding a little bit more. If the intention was to vlog only or shoot a moment, the upgrades aren't worth it. Better stick with Mark 1.

      @EdwardChlela 12 днів тому

      100% mate! For me, the A6700 is the most sutiable, and considering it's the same price in australia (brand new), then purchasing that is the way to go. (The FX30 is an additional $600 or so). As for the those 3 reasonable upgrades, it's definitely individual dependent I'ld say, as neither of those change much for my use cases (maybe other than the dynamic range), on top of the addition of 10-bit 4:2:2. Mark I is it, up until I can invest in the A6700!

    The only data on lowered testosterone was from chronic excessive drinking, not alcohol consumption in general. This is true of water as well. Chronic excessive drinking of water dilutes electrolytes and even leads to death. It's just a little misleading and disingenuous to say drinking water leads to lower testosterone though, but by that same logic you could.

    • @EdwardChlela
      @EdwardChlela 26 днів тому

      I see where you're coming from; in that chronic excessive drinking has the most significant impact on testosterone levels. However, even moderate alcohol consumption has measurable effects. As such, alcohol can disrupt our endocrine system and alter our hormones, even at moderate levels. Also, while it's true that any substance, including water, can be harmful in excessive amounts, alcohol has specific effects on muscle growth and recovery that are really important to highlight and consider for those serious about their achiecing their health and fitness goals. My aims simply to provide my knowledge, reasearch, experience and opinon to help people make more informed decisions!

      @Ribcut - Buddy, I don't know where you've come to your conclusion, but I'll provide some study summaries and references: 1- Both these peer-reviewed studies (Recovery Village & MDPI) show that alcohol disrupts our endocrine system, leading to hormonal imbalances, *even at moderate levels*. For instance, alcohol consumption can increase cortisol (a stress hormone known to decrease testosterone synthesis). 2- This study (Recovery Village) also concludes how alcohol consumption affects the 'Leydig Cells' in our testesticals, which are responsible for testosterone production. This damage occurs not *only in chronic cases* but can *also happens with regular moderate drinking*. Regardless if these effects are more pronounced with heavy drinking, the conculsion is that even moderate consumption has significant negative effects on muscle growth, recovery and gains. First Study - Title: Alcohol and Testosterone: Risks, Side Effects & Treatment Source: www.therecoveryvillage.com/alcohol-abuse/alcohol-and-testosterone/ Authors: Jessica Pyhtila, PharmD Second Study - Title: Impact of Alcohol Consumption on Male Fertility Potential: A Narrative Review Source: www.mdpi.com/1660-4601/19/1/328 Authors: Renata Finelli, Filomena Mottola, and Ashok Agarwal

      @@EdwardChlela The recovery village link wasn't a study. They are independent blogs written by people who may or may not have been paid $10 per hour to write them. The second actual study you linked does in fact reference alcohol consumption being linked to lower testosterone, but does not specify the amount. Luckily, we can safely conclude the amount must be chronic and daily, because the only actual data we have to confirm impactful reductions in testosterone include chronic daily consumption, and currently no studies on Earth reference moderate alcohol consumption to significantly reducing testosterone levels. Ironically, the study you linked specifically claims the only significant observable clinical impact on testosterone involved alcohol *abuse* which is highly vague, but at the very least implies chronic usage. There are no quantifiable metrics in these *studies* or references to the amount of alcohol consumed. That was a round about way of saying what I've originally said in my comments already.

    You have taken no time to consider or express the positive social aspects of drinking. There is no doubt that alcohol has negative side effects (especially when taken in excess). But it is just factually incorrect say there are zero positives to drinking. Pubs and bars are extremely social places, this is a huge positive with alcohol. In england at least, pubs bring many different people in, giving people the ability to socialize in a place with a nice atmosphere, this is definitely a good thing. For example elderly people, who have extremely high rates of loneliness and depression, often go to the pub for a drink and chat. Also alcohol is a depressant as you said, it helps people relax and chill out. It is therefore a good thing for people to be able to have a drink when rhey finish work, or have had a stressful day, because it helps them switch off and relax, which is a positive for mental health, provided a severe dependency doesn't form. Which in most people, it doesn't. To me this video seems like an attempt to scare people out of drinking and make them feel guilty about what they are putting into their body's, and whilst I agree it is important for people to know the risks, there are not ZERO benefits to alcohol and I think its important to recognize that. Also I think you are focusing heavily on drinking in excess in this video, which for most peoples lives is not the case.

    • @EdwardChlela
      @EdwardChlela Місяць тому

      Yeah, I get your point on the social aspects and occasional relaxation alcohol may provide some people with. But it's important to recognize that any perceived 'benefits' (these are usually personal) of alcohol are overshadowed by its scientifically proven detrimental effects on our liver health, mental well-being, and its role as a carcinogen (just to name a few). This video is solely about raising awareness of these risks, not discouraging social interaction. At the end of the day, everyone's entitled to do as they please, and 99.9% of people will continue on indulging in the drug regardless.

    Personally I think gaming is thriving. It's just that you won't find much magic in AAA games industry (except privately owned companies like Valve, Larian Studios, IO Interactive etc.) I feel like a lot of the things we miss is our past "care free life" when both ourselves and our buddies had the time to hang out and play video games together. Unfortunately most of our mates are busy "adulting" these days, so it isn't the gaming industry that is a fault entirely. Personally I find great joy in Indies, AA- and some select AAA games. Looking in Steam I have recently been playing Streets of Rage 4, Ultimate Chicken Horse (playing with my nieces and we actually laugh to tears when playing), Monsterboy and the Cursed Kingdom, Baldur's Gate III, Stardew Valley, Huntdown, Half Life Alyx + mods, Cyberpunk 2077. All of which are REALLY good games. I have so much to play and my backlog is growing larger every year.

    I definitely think many fields of entertainment have steadily been getting worse because of endless monetization and marketing and sales teams having such control over the designs of a product. Games are not the sole victims. Huge movie franchises are getting turned into a predictable formula of tasteless slop because they seem to expect the fans to buy the thing anyways, just because they're loyal to the franchise. That doesn't mean there aren't any good games and films out there anymore, though. It's just become rare to find something that's made with a passion for the artform and isn't designed just to drain you from as much money as possible. I'd say now is the best time to do some retro gaming and visit some absolute gems that you missed out on before. At least I know I still have a huge list of must-play games waiting for me that i'll probably never be able to see the end of.

I also rate the retro gaming idea-reminds us of the passion and creativity that once defined the industry.

      @EdwardChlela Місяць тому

      I both agree and disagree with you here. Modern AAA gaming is the main culprit because they have the largest fan base, and are the most marketed and played. So, although it's true that indie game studios are on top, the majority of the industry is clouded and dragged down by the practices of big corporations prioritising greed and profits. We agree that indie games are carrying the industry ATM; but let's not forget that Indie studies have there bad apples too.

Modern gaming is doing fine, better than ever really. I've been playing games since the Nintendo 64 and I can say for certain that the quality and creativity of modern games are on another level. Now that games are easier to make than ever there are more games developed by people who put love on their creations. There are more trash as well but those get filtered really easy.

    • @EdwardChlela
      @EdwardChlela Місяць тому

      That's quite the hefty steam wishlist! It's easy to overlook the negative trends when you're excited about new releases, but are you sure 'none of them' employ exploitative monetisation, or any of the other unethical pradatory practices I spoke about? While I don't doubt that more developers are able to create games of higher quality and with love, how many of those actually get the attention they deserve amidst the flood of other popular titles that have these negative trends in them? Finally, in your opinon, do you think the industry as a whole is prioritising the positive aspects over profit and monetisation? Just some food for thought!

    • @ShiNijuuAKL
      @ShiNijuuAKL Місяць тому

      @@EdwardChlela I can't say for sure that 'none of them' do, because they are still in my wishlist. But I doubt it just by the fact that most of them are from indie dev studios. And it also probably depend on the genre as I enjoy more automation and puzzles than anything else, tho I have some variety as well, including metroidvanias and some survivals for example and Outer Wilds. As they are indies they for the most part don't focus on the graphics but on the gameplay. I don't remember ever paying more money after buying the game. I also play a lot of "early access" who are "not completed" but still gives me 100s of hours of fun and new free updates just keep coming and making the game even better, and those games don't cost more than 30$ and most of the time they don't even cost 20$ (for example, Satisfactory , Dyson Sphere program, Raft). To this day I feel bad for paying so little for Hollow Knight. In my opinion, the industry is doing both, the big studios are prioritising profits and monetisation, indies meanwhile are discovering new lands of gaming experiences, they are going beyond the limitations of "what's going to sell well", game development becoming more accessible resulted in individuals being capable of working on their dream projects. I think instead of calling modern day gaming "souless" we should sent that criticism to, for the most part, to AAA games, while also recognizing the love indie game developers are putting on their titles. Redirect those people who are giving up on gaming to the good part of the industry, the might enjoy the bangers indie game studios are bringing like Hades, Valheim, Manor Lords, etc

    • @EdwardChlela
      @EdwardChlela Місяць тому

      Yeah, not gonna lie, you raise some very solid points and I agree-very well spoken mate! Indie dev studios, more often than not, do indeed focus on good gameplay, community, and creativity rather than greed or monetization schemes. Personally, I'm not familiar with any of the Indie games you've mentioned, but I'll take your word for it since you're well-versed in the genre. And yes, it's fair to say that most AAA titles are to blame for the massive shift and trend towards these negatives practices in the gaming industry. They were the catalyst that trickled down the pipeline to each branch and genre within the industry too. Redirecting those who are still keen on gaming but can't find anything 'playable'-to Indie games is the way to go too, so I also agree there.

    Same here, I haven't bought any AAA games at all since maybe the mid 2010s. There's just nothing that looks fun, and the nickel-and-dime business models of many online games just turned me off completely from specifically those. Sometimes I'll buy an occasional indie game during a sale, but even with those I've not been buying as often as I used to. Very recently I've been re-invigorating my interest in music, so whenever I do get the urge to shop, I'll just buy a few albums instead of games. Almost finished my Autechre collection!
