do I see that correct that you're inside air temp is 0 degrees C? at 08:00 min ish. is it always that cold?
I'm not to sure where I see that temp you're looking at? The Meridian does not have an inside air temp gauge sadly, I'd say the cabin was always roughly about 72-75F degrees if I had to guess.
@@JLAdventures15 thanks! I was looking at the ISA below the OAT on the pilot side at 07:57. When you said that the Meridian doesn't show inside air temp I did some searching and found out that it's the International Standard Atmosphere. Do I understand correctly that ISA is used by a pilot to understand what aircraft performance they can expect at a certain ISA?
Hey man, awesome plane. Are you still in EP? Im looking into getting the PPL pretty soon 👍
Thnanks for. a wonderful video. The Meridian is a great aircraft. The new M700 Fury looks amazing, too!
Are these negatives true about the M600? See the comment on this video by Marced Wards: ua-cam.com/video/6-s4HLAHme0/v-deo.html&si=a72Ipe83X9XI8dh2 1. The cockpit is extremely cramped, like I told the Piper dealer at Cutter. 2. The nose wheel often fails. 3. The Garmin 3000 often fails to upload. 4. The range is cut in half after you load just 1 passenger. 5. Dangers of remote control... etc. .
That's for the comment and watching! To answer your questions: 1. The cockpit isn't that tight once you're seated. I've flown in some light jets that I've had harder trouble getting in and out of. 2. The nose wheel issue never occurred in any of the M500s or M600s I flew. 3. I've never heard of any Garmin upload issues, I've downloaded and uploaded databases hundreds of times with no issue. That would be a Garmin problem anyway, not Piper. 4. In the M600, the range is about 1600NM advertised. I've gotten about 1500nm with me and a single PAX with overnight bags and enough fuel reserve on landing. I've loaded up the plane with me and 5 PAX at max gross weight and saw about 1000nn with 1hr fuel reserve. 5. Not to sure what you mean by remote control? If you meant auto pilot, the m600 had a great autopilot, we even had the auto throttles installed shortly after this video, and it was awesome! All in all, the m600 is a great aircraft, and it all depends on your mission on how well it's going to perform.
Very nice plane with very good performance. Could you fly 1150nm @FL240 and High speed Cruise (TAS 265kts) to Arrive with 350# or would you have to fly FL260 or FL280?
Great video! Was this flight for personal or business?
Nice videos brotha. You plan on making any more?
I appreciate the love 🙏 I really want to, I've changed careers, still flying, but hopefully my new job will allow me to start making videos here soon!
Right on, seems like people were digging them! Good luck 🤙🏼
More of those videos ! Smooth flying great !
We need more videos. Where have you been
What’s the service ceiling?
We are RVSM, so our service ceiling is FL300
Nice plane. What kind of climb rates do you get in the flight levels?
@setafavn, Great question. It depends on how heavy we are. If we are light that day, we can range from 1500 to 1900fpm. On a heavy hot day, it would be between 900 to 1400 fpm in the FLs
@@JLAdventures15 Anything above 1000 seems decent.
Awsomee love it
All that money for 180 knots?
@heavyizthacrown-5842 I see you're a gaming channel, so you probably don't know much about Aviation. That's 180 indicated airspeed. Our groundspeed was about 280kts. And price isn't solely based on speed. There are many other things that come into play with price
area code 915.....bieeeen
I really enjoy your videos. They're quietly instructive and include beautiful, scenic views. Awaiting your next series of videos.
Non-essential chatter on the intercom by the PIC in sterile segment (call the FAA!) LOL🤪
Love the 600.
Good job!
You leave SA headed west to EP and talk to Houston central. wow.
Yeah its weird south of Midland is Houston, it's a weird cutoff
👏👏👏👏
"No, YOU have a safe flight" -controller gets up from his chair, spreads his arms "Coffee time"
oh the pain of telling the tower have a safe flight
I new I should have edit that part out lol I didn't think I'd get roasted so much! Eh oh well lol 😆
@@JLAdventures15 These things happen, cant even count how many times I have told waiters to have a great meal.
Looks really cramped. Think I would prefer a 210 Silver Eagle, much easier to get in and out of.
Being 6'1 250lbs its pretty comfy and not to bad, I have been in worse. I really don't think the 210 is a very good comparison when you look at the specs of both airplanes though!
Thanks J&L Adventures
6:42 oops 😂. Looks like a great airplane!
Hve a nice flight 😂😂
I don't know what I was thinking 😂😂
Great video. Just happened along your videos today and hope to see more. With the new wing on the 600, it has become quite the aircraft as well with the g3000. Not a critique but just pointing out your using the term yaw dampener. That descent into ABQ was amazing! Nice job.
Thanks for following along! More to come soon!
Beautiful aircraft. Really enjoyed the ride. Thanks.
Love your videos! The M600 is a beast. Quick question: how tall are you? Curious as I try to guesstimate the cockpit size.
Thanks! Im about 6'1 and fit pretty comfortably, I recently took out the cushion under the seat and it makes it so much more roomy.
@@JLAdventures15 It looks like you need to take out the whole seat.
LOL. I'm a pilot and an avid guitar player. Sweetwater is a huge guitar/music store and recording complex in Indiana. When I saw it in the title that's where I thought you were going! LOL I haven't seen too many M600's. I always wondered why they were so much less $$ than the TBM and Pilatus, not that its a bad thing! I think I know now. Is that Garmin glass? Doesn't look familiar, but could be just display choices. Thanks! Enjoyed your video! Peace --gary
thanks for watching! and I think the price difference comes from the Meridian and m500 versions and the none Emergency Autoland M600. The newer M600's with the emergency Autoland run in the 3.5 - 4 million range depending on options in todays market. I think it comes down to cost of operation at that point. It is incredibly cheaper to operate an M600 compared to the newer tbms and PC-12s. Although the new TBM960 is mouthwatering. lol
I saw this plane fly over my house going up to Denton Texas. Maybe it was you? This was the first m600 I’ve seen. The wing is very distinguished. It’s such a unfamiliar turbo prop sound. Sounds different from the usual grand caravan or tbm.
Probably not I haven't flown that way I'm a while, but I've never heard it from the outside lol the inside is pretty quiet
What a plane!
A great plane ( I’m a Piper guy) but I really would want a PC12 over the M600 ( which is much better then the M500 imo )
Oh the m600 with its carrying capacity beats the m500 by far. A PC12 was a little to much for our mission if anything a TBM910-940 would be a good upgrade!
@@JLAdventures15 I’m just dreaming so the PC12 fits into my dream. But the TBM 900 can easily be added. Didn’t care for the 700 as any Piper had the same or better load imo. Cool looking plane though
@@arthurbrumagem3844 Yeah as long as you are only dreaming you can throw the money out the window but what about reality?
No interior passenger shots. Wanted to see all of the plane.
Sorry about that I will try to include more of that in the upcoming videos! Thanks for riding along in the meantime!
What passengers? I read that passengers can cut your range in half.
but it's m500 , not m600 , i see the wing:D
It was actually a mix of both, we started the year in the m500 and ending in the m600
@@JLAdventures15 I also fly piper m600 since 2021 February, I did 350 hours on it within Europe
Great video but the music.....
Baby shark 🦈
Like your plane and site. Thanks
I really like the plane. It's on my short list of planes to upgrade to, but it looks very difficult to get in and out of. You are a bigger guy like me, I would really love to see a detailed video of how you get in and out of the front of that thing. Keep the videos coming
I'm 6'1 250, there is a technique I use! I could do a video how I get I'm and out! Thanks for watching!
What's the reason behind calling yourself M600 instead of Meridian?
Performance reasons, we have a better Performance tables then the Merdian/m500, so instead of filling as a p46t I file as an m600.
I get the performance differences, but that would be like me calling myself C25B on the radio instead of Citation. Just curious. Safe flying.
@@cj2driver exactly! Stick to Meridian!
Nice video Jonathan! I'll be moving to Texas soon. Maybe we can fly together sometime in the future! Happy landings!
Thanks Garret! Definitely down for that! You can hop in the m600 and check out the differences from the 500! It's definitely a change!
Alway fun riding along !
Nice to see you back for another!
Thanks for the ride along. The Garmin annotations were greatly appreciated!
Thanks for riding along!
Nice video, do you ever fly over to Scottsdale,AZ?
Thanks for watching! I have a trip there in the begging of March and I'll be back in June for recurrent training!
Bro these vids are 🔥 Keep them coming.
Thanks bro! I promise more to come!
Living the dream! I fly into ELP every weekend. Just the most beautiful approach with the Franklins in the background
Nice, the mountains make it so much better!
;-) Nice work.. love it. Thnkx.
Sub'd. If you ever make it to KCRQ let me know.
Very nice plane, how do you actually get in to the pilot seat? Do you have a video of that? I would like to see how its done
Sure I can post in my next video hopefully coming soon!
Boy does time lapse suck!!!
Just subscribed this morning. Very nice plane! I'm assuming you do charter work? My company borders the EP airport.I need your info please.
Thanks for subscribing! Sure your can find my social and email on my youtube profile! Thanks!
