My wife has just completed her UK Citizenship application form online and paid the fee (currently £1630) She had previously photocopied all relevant documents, thinking it would be a simple case of adding this to the application. She was then directed to a separate site .. UK Visa and Citizenship Application Services where she had to open a new account. It is asking her to make an appointment, which would cost an additional £143. Is this appointment essential, or just some form of assistance, perhaps for folk not having access to photocopiers etc. If she has to attend, that’s fine .. she just doesn’t want to be wasting £143 Thanks !

I was going through the policy guide on absences in the last 12 months from the date of application they say the applicant should not have been out of the UK for more than 90 days while the policy has a small clause indicating that the "Total number of absences normally disregarded" is 100. I will be on 103 days when i apply. If my application is refused by the case handler, will I get my application fees refunded in full? thank you!

Hello, my employer was recently applying for my cos on 3rd april before the temporary closure ,all mandatory fields were filled and even paid cos fees as well but due to shortage of time the sms portal got closed before completing the final step, now the cos in ready to go status , and employer dont know what to with it , my question is it is old rules or he can complete it now or he has to apply from the beginning? As per ukba all pending cos has been been cancelled but this cos isn't cancelled but in ready to go status

Awesome video Please I need some clarification regarding switching from dependant visa to skilled worker I have been working for my employer for close to two years now, and now that he wants to offer me CoS, What would be the start date of the job? Because when it was being filled the said the start date of the job cannot be in the part. Secondly, I read that, if the applicant is current in the uk, the start of the job needs to be not later than the day the current visa of the employee would expire. And thirdly if that is the case, I also read that you cannot apply for tier more than three months to the start date of your job. So my issue is if my employer puts the starts date of the job to be a day after which my current visa would expire lets say June 2024) do I have to wait three months to June 2024 before making the application for a tier 2 visa ? Empire told me that you switch from a dependant to work visa, please how was the details filled during your COS, was the start date after the date your current visa would expire or the date doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things.
