The GVGRC is dedicated to model railroading in the garden. Our membership spans a very diverse cross section of enthusiasts from those who find relaxation and enjoyment in "armchair railroading", to those who have taken on the tasks of building and managing their own "mini" backyard empires.

Thanks_very 😎
Just amazing!!! Be proud. Is that CN covered HOPPER grey or a faded original orange car? The corona has to go...it should be a Labatts or Molson......eeh
This railroad has- easily-4 of the top ten features I want to copy on mine when I grow up 😳, from all of the UA-cam railroad videos.
Anybody else sound like they were inside the Star Trek Enterprise’s Disco?
Super!!
I was waiting to se JR make an appearance
An excellent video. Hello from the Tracy Mountain Railway in Colorado. ♡ T.E.N.
Thank you for your comment. We think Garden Railroading is a wonderful family hobby, and do our best to promote it.
The layout is amazing but so is the fact how long ago this was posted and people can still enjoy.
Thanks for your comments! Garden Railways are alive and well, and are also a great family hobby, since all ages can be involved at some level. It is also a refreshing distraction from too much "screen time", and involves actual conversation!
@@gvgrc1 I'd like to see this from the air to see the overall look. I would love to have just a simple layout in my back yard here in Albuquerque. To have that much rolling stock I'd have to sell my car, actually my house! I grew up playing in the depot and yard when my dad manned small town depots. It was a one man job back then.
Thanks for sharing! It would of been really nice to see the end result at the end of the video.
Thanks for watching, and your comment! The time-lapse was a total experiment, which actually turned out fairly well, hence it is posted here. We agree, it should have been left to run just a little longer to see the final result. You can see further still photos on our web site, at gvgrc.ca
I see garden lights, night time video please
Great!👍
Love the Dallas Theme music with this!!
I liked the engineer's Corona beer next to the tracks. :)
Truly amazing! And I love the corona bottle it shows your relaxing and enjoying your masterpiece👍🏼
That is epic!
I can only hope to build a garden railroad as beautiful as this.
awesome choice of theme music...
Interesting use of the Dallas Theme song
Is the Corona also "G" scale?
I am not articulate enough to say anything that would do justice to this masterpiece. This is off the scale. Amazing. Thank you. How much do I owe you? :)
Holy crap that is awesome and the music makes it epic :)
I was at the Convention, but didn't see this one
Uh, sir can you please got your empty beer bottle off my garden railway!
fantastic!!
Very nice layout and video. Please visit my channel with garden railroads from Germany.
are the little trees real trees?
Yes, it's Dwarf Alberta Spruce trees.
MemphisBell hi your layout is great! what other trees do you use? im going to have to get some of them mini trees for my railway ☺
Wow. Now that's really nice!
AWESOME
Some very great detail on this RR. Wish we could of seen more. Only thing is keep the people out of the video, it is a real detractor.
An utter thing of beauty, I love the setup. I would love to have a G scale and as many have commented the job that you've done is very life like. Once again, just great job and thanks for sharing with us out here.
Nice choice for theme music! I love it :-)
i'm going to make one now
Loves this.
Everything gets wet - but if you run LGB (or one or two other makes), that's not a problem.
What happens when it rains?
Great job like the video
When I was a child, my dad and I had a G scale layout in our attic. Made a lot of great memories. How well do the model homes and such stand up to bad weather? I've always wondered that about garden railroads.
Amazing!
tiny N scale layout would be cool in one of the property's gardens haha, nice work
Dude I have a great idea for you. You know you lieelt houses? Well I think you need to build a tiny garden RR in your tiny house garden. Of course then you would have to make a tiny town, and then a even smaller RR in that town , and so on and so on...
where is this
Outstanding!! Thank you!!
Must have been John Henry that left the Corona bottle there after driving all those spikes and laying all that track, LOL! Hey, all kidding aside- Beautiful layout. Great work. By the way- is the grain elevator scratchbuilt? If so curious on the dimensions for it. Thanks for sharing this beautiful layout. Mike in Fresno, Ca.
Truly superb!
Great layout. Music FAR TOO LOUD ! Can anyone give me some info on firing by propane please? I have a 3.5 Gauge 0- 4-0 tank loco that I want to fire but have no idea what is involved with building a suitable burner. What size for gas jets etc? Noel Tyler.
verry good ,,,,so real like,
Amazing.
Tim Hortons coffee to the right at 1:05! I love their coffee!
The bottle of Corona is a really good piece of advertising. I would imagine that is the beer of choice out there on the west coast. I would do much nicer with a bottle of St. Pauli Girl. Thank you so much for posting this wonderful video of this tremendous monstrasity. Please, give a gander at some of my postings. I believe you will enjoy them and if you do not the most you have wasted is three minutes and what exactly IS 3 minutes?
Awesome Railroad very inspiring!
