A tour of my summer home in (a Kia) Sedona

US adult Mr. E has returned briefly from a hiatus to show you around his inexpensive Kia Sedona minivan conversion. Thousands of miles (thousands of kilometers) north of Sedona, Arizona comes this new video featuring your guy and his modest summer home.

I’m checking books off my summer reading list one by one. I just finished Barbara Tuchman’s magnum opus “The Guns of August”, about the first month of World War I. When I visited Sarajevo a year or two ago, I stood at the exact spot where Gavrilo Princip assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife, leading to the outbreak of World War I shortly thereafter. The whole thing almost never happened, and it’s nuts to think about how the rest of the 20th century might have unfolded had a 19-year-old assassin not been standing on a street corner when the Archduke’s car took a wrong turn and stalled. Maybe the war would have begun some other way (who really knows?), but it’s one of the most consequential assassination in world history. This long tangent is to say I highly recommend “The Guns of August”. (Ironically, at least based on my non-review of the book, is that Tuchman devotes maybe a sentence and a half in the entire 700 page book to Ferdinand’s assassination.)

Have a 2001 four runner love this vehicle and would be happy to have it as my sole vehicle till I die ( hopefully another 10 years )… BUT Videos like yours of Sienna camper vans has me flirting with making a switch . I never go off road . If anyone looking for used TRUCKS and Range Rovers come to NJ . Pretty much flat state , gas is usually lower than elsewhere , and a lot of folks with money that like status🙄🙄 . I cannot tell you how many big Trucks that never see a lick of work or dirt are driving around !!! They are Always shine clean . And we have a Range Rover dealer in south Jersey … flattest part of the state 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ The world is 🙃

Did you bring the bikes into the van when you stealth camped? I see from a later video you now have a Felt 65X cyclocross bike. Did you go to just one bike - do you bring it in when you stealth camp now?
Thanks for the tour. I'm retiring soon and getting excited about extensive travel in a minivan (long trips, but part-time to see how it goes). I'm in the stage of watching a gazillion videos now and trying to decide on what van to get. Sienna is at the top of the list, newer hybrid is tempting, but the older models make a lot of sense. You've got a great simple setup.
