Unicron and Spiritbox are probably more of Courtney's style than IWABO was. When she joined IWABO it was essentially a tongue planted firmly in cheek type of band. By the end, they were getting more serious about what they were projecting. However, in those bands Courtney was doing cleans and screams. And the cleans were pretty poppy. That's always been her style. Check out Unicron's song "Broken Vessels" from 2012 to see that though she was doing much more traditionally growlier stuff (and I'm glad she moved away from that), the cleans were heavily influenced by folk rock and R&B.

Zelli is by far the one of the angriest voices in metal. Like you mentioned it's raw and you can feel his aggresion and his callouts in songs make the songs hit like a train. This band is super sick and can't wait for their new album Cursed next year! \m/

I got told that my band's 2023 song Neglect sounded like Pitiful in the verses by the guy that was mixing it, just the way that the singing and guitar/drums came together but I don't think either of us writing it were even aware of that song. Check it out if you want. The band is ColourMind. I did hear you say the Blindside drums were simplistic though.

Mike has done some more complex rapping on his Fort Minor songs, He definitely has ability past what he typically uses for LP.

Nice reaction. A slight bit of info, despite Chester bringing his own personal feelings into the lyrics. Mike Shinoda was the one who wrote most of the lyrics with revisions and suggestions from all thebother band members. For example many people think Breaking the Habit was written by Chester about his struggle with addiction. Mike wrote it about growing up and growing apart from friends. One more light was written by Mike about a friend of the band who died of cancer. Mike is often not given his flowers for his music writing and producing. He really is the heart of LP.

I’ve seen Linkin Park live with Chester some years ago and it was amazing. But like Mick Fleetwood did after Peter Green the founding member of Fleetwood Mac left, he carried on Fleetwood Mac by signing Buckingham & Nix Line Up that carried on the name. It’s a fresh start for the band for a new direction to go., would certainly see them again.
