Innovation Storytellers with Susan Lindner
Приєднався 2 кві 2012
I’m Susan Lindner, the Innovation Storyteller. But I wasn’t always. I’ve been a wannabe revolutionary, an epidemiologist at the CDC, and an AIDS educator in the brothels of Thailand helping to turn former sex workers into entrepreneurs. Trained as an anthropologist and the Founder of Emerging Media, I’ve spent the last twenty years working with innovators from 60+ countries. Ranging from cutting-edge startups to Fortune 100 companies like GE, Corning, Citi, Olayan, and nine foreign governments, helping their leaders to tell their stories and teaching them how to become incredible advocates for their innovations.
Great innovation stories make change possible. They let us step into a future we can’t see yet. I started this podcast to shine a light on our generation of great innovators, to learn how they brought their innovation to life and the stories they told to bring them to the world.
181: How to Use AI in Innovation for Massive Productivity Gains
In this episode of the Innovation Storytellers Show, I sit down with Dr. Mark van Rijmenam, a Strategic Futurist and Global Keynote Speaker known for his expertise in emerging technologies like AI, blockchain, and the metaverse. Mark and I first connected at the Global Speakers Federation Conference in Bali, where his keynote on digital transformation and the accelerating pace of AI left a lasting impression.
We kick off our conversation by diving into the rapid evolution of AI and why businesses must adapt swiftly to harness its full potential. Mark explains how tools like Generative AI can drive creativity and productivity, but he also warns that if we aren’t ready to integrate these innovations, we risk falling behind. As the conversation progresses, Mark shares his thoughts on the rise of agentic AI, where intelligent agents collaborate autonomously - a development that’s pushing the boundaries of what AI can achieve today.
However, it’s not just about AI. Mark sheds light on the untapped potential of blockchain, a technology often misunderstood as just the backbone of cryptocurrencies. He paints a picture of blockchain as the “plumbing” of the future internet, capable of enabling secure, transparent data sharing without compromising control. For Mark, it’s time to move beyond crypto-skepticism and see blockchain as a tool for building trust and collaboration across industries.
Our discussion takes a fascinating turn as we explore the role of education in this era of exponential change. Mark is candid about his frustrations with our outdated educational systems, which still mirror methods from centuries ago. He argues for a fundamental shift, one that embraces technology and focuses on fostering adaptability and resilience over rote learning.
Whether you’re an executive, an innovator, or an educator, this episode is packed with actionable insights on how to leverage AI and emerging technologies to stay ahead of the curve. Are you prepared for the exponential pace of change, or will you risk being left behind?

Thanks for the breakdown! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
Allison, this was a great interview
Recently I am a remote job worker Your videos are very nice but due to some problem video view increase very less video titles are not attracting others you can fix title create eye catching thumbnail for each video and make videos search engine optimization (SEO) friendly you will get a good result
I am embarrassed on behalf of all the people not watching your channel. I've begun telling people the next 10-15 years are going to be _transformative_ in the way we interact with and through technology. My Samsung watch is practically a tri-chorder already. The Science of light technology is going to reveal a lot of unexpected connections and exchanges/interactions taking place all around us. You deserve a bigger audience, and we deserve this informational content. I really enjoy the open format where you give the guest space to spread out a bit during the interview, rather than continually redirecting to a really narrow precooked interview. Thanks for the content.
Susan wonderful interview. Heather you are incredible, inspiring - LOVE YA your DAD Adam
Great content. I have a great idea in the metaverse and smart contract. My team and I are actually building the first started bridge in Africa. I'll like to share on your platform about smart contract and metaverse.
There is an independent FaceBook group "FlexBeam User Group" where people discuss using the FlexBeam. please join
I have one of these Flexbeam devices from Recharge Health and have been using for just a few weeks on an old lower leg injury and I am seeing improvement. Less swelling by the end of the day after daily therapy with my flexbeam. I have friends that have purchased the in-home whole-body red-light boxes and they paid big money and had to have an electrician connect the unit. They are great but this device is mobile and can be applied directly to the specific area of the body. I am 75 yrs. old.
