I could see how a spacer , would work with a carb, but with the throttle body, it's just air. what is the reason for a longer breathing tube?

You should qualify your video as 2nd gen Ram V8. My 2002 3500 Cummins is by far the best truck I have ever owned. I took advice of old truck driver and kept the RPMs between 1700 and 2300 for the first 50K. I haul heavy oil tools, up and down CA freeways, have 240K miles on it, and get 18 MPG at 70 mph, and 22 MPG at 55 mph. Its been upgraded with 2018 bumper, JVC touch screen, LED lights, Alcoa rims, Killmat, etc. I love it, and I believe it will go 500K EASY!

That’s no fair Diesels get good mileage. I think the ideal Dodge Ram truck is a diesel one with manual transmission.

I can't believe you found that for $40. I see that logo on the right side of the back window of the logo exhaust sticker Thrush. I have that on my 99 Dodge Ram and my truck is so quiet I can stand next to it and barely hear it running

Spacer is for more time to allow fuel and air to mix when you have a CARBURETOR........it is completely useless with FI being injected right at the Intake valve nearly a foot after the spacer.

Probably the reason you hate the mileage is because you got the fucking gasser… I have an older truck I have the 12 valve Cummins… And I just checked earlier this week and I’m averaging 19 miles to the gallon

I love my old Dodge trucks. I know their limitations, and appreciate their strengths. I dont have wrong expectations. Bad gas mileage, and they are built for low end torque and not speed so much. They are built like tanks tho, and will run for ever with minimum maintenence. Fix your truck, its cheaper than buying a new one.

Your truck has injectors that spray into the cylinders. That spacer is for carbureted engines it gives more space for the fuel to aerosolize. Its useless on your truck

  • @ABCDEFGHIJKELA...

a new throttlebody would have been a better investment, all that extra material on top of the stock TB creates a turbulent path for air to enter, you can even clean it up a bit a get a few extra hp's, buying one specifically for it would be the smarter way obviously.
