WOW!!!! All those animal ads are FAKE????? WTH???

When it comes to crafting kits, I firmly believe that the kit should have everything in it to make at least one complete product. I do knit and crochet so if I get a kit that teaches you how to knit a hat and there's a pom pom on the cover, I expect the kit to have everything I need to make that hat. Needles, a couple stitch markers, yarn, and the pom pom or materials to make your own pom pom. Same with crochet. If I get an amiguri kit to make a cute little crochet cat I expect to have all the yarn colors I need, thread for any details it might have, eyes if it calls for them, a crochet hook, maybe a stitch marker or two, and stuffing. I'm not expecting the highest quality product in a kit like this. I know that the yarn is probably going to be cheep. That's fine. But I expect everything I need to be in there. If the kit has instructions for a dozen patterns, I'm not expecting to be able to make all of them out of the materials, but I should be able to fully complete one from only the things in the box. And it should clearly state if there's multiple patterns, what pattern or patterns you can make from just what's in the box. Kits are made for people who are learning. There is no reason for the white fabric to not be included in this box at the very least. With the way it seems the booklet was worded, it seems like they expected you to make all of the patterns, or at least two of them, with the materials provided. There should have been some sort of batting. I don't know how to quilt so if I got a quilting kit like this, I would expect some batting in it because I want to know how to use the batting. I don't know what to look for when it comes to batting. It's just frustrating when things that should be for new users end up setting them up to fail.

The moment I saw ai generated fake patterns I knew this wouldn't go well

I'm not a quilter, but do crochet and knit, and still find quilting fascinating. The AI generated images are ABSOLUTELY a bait and switch, and companies using them to draw in customers should be ashamed. Too bad using AI generated photos to promote your products isn't something you can report them to the Better Business Bureau for!! I would much prefer to see an actual picture of the end product than something I can only dream of. This sort of thing would for sure discourage me from not only picking up quilting, but ever buying anything from Mrs Quilty again.

Honestly yeah the fabrics were so ugly... they look like something you'd get in the discount bin and the way they were packaged where all the fabrics were folded and creased also cheapens the entire box too!

Great job with your honest critique of Mrs. Quilty. I bought some of those 'great' fabric's and I'm sure they are from China. They are much thinner and almost have this extra smooth feel to them and of course they fray so much. Your bait & switch statement is spot on and it is happening far too often. Buyer's have to be so careful and do their research before laying out their hard earned cash. Okay I just finished watching the end of your refreshing video and definitely from China when they're doing the hard sell and hanging onto your coat tails in an attempt to keep you on the line.

That false advertising is probably literally a crime. But the FTC can't go after them unless customers complain. So if you've bought one of these boxes to a US mailbox, I recommend reporting them on the FTC website. Part of the reason they get away with this is because nobody even thinks to report them.

You explained perfectly how I feel about piano keys and stitch in the ditch. I'm using your words to explain to my loved ones! I love all of you designs and though process. I love them both. If I had to choose, I would pick the 2nd one - love the center motif. Personally, I liked that you quilted them differently giving them each their own personality.

On the second topper, the corner treatment with the straight lines, and taking the small square all the way in on the diagonal line was a nice touch. Couldn’t help but flatly shout “nooooooo that’s AI…….” when I saw it, absolutely awful when I see it on adverts. Means they can’t afford an artist but still want the art.

Those ai photos tell you it's 100% a scam
