Border designs are definitely my favourite to come up with. There are a lot of videos that tackle this problem better than I could here in the comments. But it's usually caused by folks not measuring their borders before attaching a piece of fabric.

This also happened in the USA. Canada is working hard to find truth and reconciliation

But what happened to the children? Are we talking about the Aboriginal children?

@angelaschapiro4268 Many children were abused, stripped of love and family, and many never went home or were seen by their parents ever again. . There were schools like this still operating in 1990's. The children who survived these schools need us to recognize the truth of what happened.

​@quiltingcurvestudio This is frightening. My kids were born in 1983 and 1985. We left Canada in 1992.

I added a separate machine because I wanted to give my clients another option. This allowed me to raise my custom prices. It also allows me to have two quilts mounted at the same time, which does make more money in the end. My custom/ruler work is in much more demand and I do more custom than panto at this time.

I do them consistently. I totally notice when I've taken a break from pebbles for a week even. It takes a minute for the 'groove' to come back. I think it's one of those use it or loose it things.

I'm using the Quilted Pineapple Swag B for the spines. The long ruler is also a quilted pineapple 12" ruler. I could have switched and usually I do, but I forgot so just rolled with it 😝.

The blocks are really large. I filmed each frame first and came back later with the spinny wheel fillers once all the frames were in place. Since the blocks were so large (16") I pinned the open areas of the frames just to keep everything in place as I rolled back and forth. I also work on a small machine that only has a 15" throat when the ruler plate is on. Does this answer your question? Let me know if I can clarify more 😃

Absolutely! This is a quilted pineapple ruler #8. I own the original set and am saving to get the others as they are expensive, but in my opinion, superior tools.
