I really like these GM trucks but I jate that they went to direct injection on all the new gas engines, I like to keep my stuff for a while so it basically rules them out for me.
I put an oil catch can on mine because of the direct injection. No carbon buildup on my valves! 😅

I’m still learning a few things about cars so if this is a dumb question then I apologize in advance. But I plan to get a c7 stingray sometime soon and this is exactly what I want it to sound like. But my question is, what all is done to the corvette to make it sound like this? I know it’s cammed obviously but does that mean anything was done to the exhaust? Like does it still have mufflers and the resonator? Also, does the cam alone make the car choppy when idling? I would love to know. I love the car man.
i saw nobody ever got back to you, but i would say long tube headers, an x pipe, and honestly the stock mufflers work pretty well if you don’t want to spend money on an axle back and keep the valves. headers are a typical supporting mod for a cam, which gives you the chopping idle, definitely research cams because they can sound different and make power differently, and there are different cams for different builds, like boost cams and naturally aspirated cams. and while technically you would “need” to do catless headers with a cam, it’s dumb not too. the cats restrict the flow of the motor and make the engine work less efficiently. but technically is it possibles also
