S2000 AP1 DIY Tune AEM EMS Tuning for Virtual Dyno's 500hp (XIV).wmv
Переглядів 2,4 тис.12 років тому
Tuning at the edge on 91 octane. Boost up to 17-18psi with timing advance at 10. Torque where hp and torque cross at 5200rpm is ~350. Knock volt spiking to ~2.2.
S2000 AP1 DIY Tune AEM Fast channel Logging & 12psi timing optimization (XII)
Переглядів 93512 років тому
Fast channel logging setup and timing optimization. Assume MBT is knock limited. Timing advance under boost is determined by minimum baseline knock volt spikes.
S2000 AP1 DIY Tune AEM EMS 16psi boost duty cycle adjustment and timing optimization (XIII)
Переглядів 6 тис.12 років тому
The Mac solenoid is used to controlled boost through the ecu. The duty cycle is set to max duty up to 16psi to minimize boost lag. The duty cycle is decreased as peak boost is reached to eliminate boost spikes.

S2000 AP1 DIY Tune AEM EMS Wot run of wastegate boost fixed and boost fuel trim setup (X)
Переглядів 2,1 тис.12 років тому
Boost creep to 18psi fixed. The mac boost valve solenoid duty cycle is set to 0%.Wastegate boost now creeps to 13-14psi. Additional data logging is used to tune the air to fuel ratio along the WOT rpms up to 9000rpms.
S2000 AP1 DIY Tune AEM EMS Boost Fuel Trim Setup (IX)
Переглядів 1,3 тис.12 років тому
Setting up the boost fuel trim feature to compensate for high fuel pulse width numbers. Goal is to stay below a value of 9.
S2000 AP1 DIY Tune AEM EMS Fixing Overboost & Knock volts check (VIII)
Переглядів 1,4 тис.12 років тому
First full throttle waste gate pull. Overboosted up to 18psi. Knock volts in check. No engine damage. Found errors in the boost tab setup and decrease the boost duty cycle of the Mac solenoid to 0.0%.

Do you still have this base tune?
I am not getting stat sync to come on
I'm trying to setup my fuel. Have you ever played with AutoHotkey? Not sure I should attempt to add it to my laptop, or just do the manual like you are showing here.
how do you activate quick tune? is it F12, awesome info.
hi friend, I like your video a lot, could you send me your mail?
Thank you for the video
was that knock @ 8:45 i seen ur knock volts spike to 4 volts twice?
only 8* timing what you running pump 93? how much power did that make

Awesome step by step walk through,Thanks for the video, i can now try the virtual dyno.
Thank you for the effort to make these tutorials!
Thank you very much for that tutorial. I thought its impossible with AEM EMS to export datalog to virtual dyno.
My god
i don't understand!!! man i wish somebody could teach me this
Automap Fuel Log.
do you have a rising rate regulator 1:1 or 1:1< or do you have static fuel pressure,
You are correct.
Yes. Wire the AEM boost solenoid wire to the EMS D16 pin to have the EMS control boost. D16 is specific to the S2000. May be different for your vehicle.
Just wondering, I have a EMS S2, If I have the lectronic selenoid, can I adjust the bust preassure with AEM tuner with out the tru-boost gauge?
Do you have an email or method where I could ask you a bunch of questions regarding this ECU for my situation? I have a built engine, never run yet so I have to seat my rings. Its lower compression, turbocharged, 7lb wastegate spring, LS2 Coils, and I need to safely break in the engine at various RPM. I need to know how to activate the Coils, set my idle, but also quickly allow it to go upwards of 3000 RPM to help seat the rings. Any help would much be appreciated as I'm almost there!
Basically that's it! The quick tune function uses the O2 feedback to adjust the fuel pulse width numbers to get close the the O2 target value. The gain value is set low to not over adjust the pulse width numbers. I use quick tune to adjust acceleration and cruise loads. Further in my other videos, I use data logging to adjust the AFR at WOT. Be safe.
Slow roll to 2000rpm in 3rd gear, full WOT as the rpm slowly rises to 9000rpm. Export AEM log as text (current zoom area); logging engine speed, engine load, O2, and full throttle position.
Thanks for the feedback. I'm using Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 to screen capture. It utilizes the laptop mic for voice recording up to 10 minutes. First time doing voice recording video instructions. Everything was done on the first take. Guess I could go back with a script, re-edit and do retakes to improve the voice and dialog. But I'm not really motivated at the moment.
Curious. If you are using Virtual Dyno, how do you physically have the car setup to do these Pulls? are you on the street? Btw, Thank you so very much for these video's. You probably won't get millions of views, but the views you do get are from people like myself that need this information. Thank you so very much!
so basically, when you add a turbo to your engine, and wish to tune it, you start on low boost settings, and mash the space bar (quick tune) many times over until you get proper AFR's...then start the process over again when you up the boost? Lets say if you have a 9psi tune, what would you then safely move to 12psi or what? The keyboard mashing seems fun but could be dangerous. I'm stock engine in car, but have a built GT3582R motor on stand waiting to go in after I learn this software.
The audio is horrible in these video's, but man... this helped a lot. I have a series 2 hooked up to my stock ka24de Nissan 240 and was running AFR at about 9. This should help bring it up. ...hopefully I don't go too lean lol. I'm learning this on a stock engine before I swap in my built KA-T. Thanks for your help.
