Don't see why not, but it would have to be AWD dyno or no dyno at all, just a tune.

Secondaries were removed, primary cats were replaced with high-flow cats.

@@serega13 no cats would easily made u in the 12’s mine made a huge difference without cats or mufflers straight exhaust they breath so good

@@ganglandlandlord9870 I believe it, factory exhaust is the most restrictive I've ever seen on any car, it's actually got metal plates blocking it in several places.

If you mean the tune, it was done by Tuning Tech FS in Maryland.

It was whatever was oem on 09 GTR as I had GTR staggered wheels.

@@serega13 one of the pictures I seen says you had 255 40 in the front were you running that all the way around ?

It's been a while but I believe it was bigger piped (2.75) exhaust, including the y pipe w the removal of secondary cats, custom tune on a dyno and K&N filters in the stock boxes. It was a few hp shy of 500hp to the crank, the exhaust is the biggest upgrade as the stock one is insanely restrictive, I've never seen one that this bad and I've been modifying cars for 20+ years.

I don't have the car anymore but it could definitely be improved upon.

It would be a waste of money but I would do exhaust, headers, tune. But honestly save your money and get a 3.0 turbo or 5.6 for more power.

No real steps, I had fabricator make full custom exhaust and remove secondary cats, then had local tune guy dyno tune it. That's it.

@@jonathanlee906that part is not necessary, that's just for showing off and for making it loud. The important part is getting larger diameter free-flowing piping without restrictive catalytic converters and mufflers.

No, it was just a small bump in hp, not really necessary imho.

The clip is not m56 but my twin turbo g37 coupe. I no longer have either car. However, M56 exhaust was custom built by Zury Fabrications of MD. I had a tune but no other performance mods.

Ended up giving it away for 17k to a dealer who probably sold it for 23 to 24. For some reason was not having an easy time selling and was getting a lot of ridiculously low offers.

Mine has been a gem from day one to the day I sold at about 100k, nothing went wrong with it at all which tells me with regular maintenance it would easily go to 200k and beyond. That being said, I would have a professional inspect yours and go over it with fine-tooth comb and get their opinion, the weak point on these cars is 4 wheel steering and not usually the engine which mechanically is pretty much the same as the truck engine so I'm not sure what the guy is talking about.

@@serega13 Thanks for replying! So when people say truck engine is used in M56s, does it mean good? Or does it mean engine is good but m56s is not able to tolerate the engine?

@@infinitimusic1903 It's good when the engine is used on a wide range of cars rather than just 1 because that allows for more testing and rooting out any issues and the parts will be cheaper. I just went on cars.com and found 2006 QX56 which had an early version of this engine with 300k miles so I know these engines are solid. I've heard some people talk shit about them but they usually turn out to be owners of 3.7 VQ who know nothing about the subject.

@@serega13 so you would like it’s okay to buy uses M56s has 120k miles, which its oil change has been maintained every 2500 miles? I’m asking this because if i buy it, i will have to own it until it doesn’t run especially in here Korea because those cars are not welcomed in here due to low gas mileage and gasoline is really expensive here..

@@infinitimusic1903 I can't see the future but in my experience, it's pretty reliable. Just make sure rear-wheel steering is in good shape and timing chain recall has been done and you should be good.

It's much too heavy to get into 11s, it gets into 12s though.

I've owned both, no serious issues with either, g37 if manual needs an upgraded csc, auto doesnt have that issue. M56 has been bulletprof for me, no issues at all after 100k miles.

@@serega13 thats good to hear, but my main concern is that the M56 engine is direction injection which will cause carbon buildup, have you heard of or had any issues with this so far?

@@srtjerome2902 I just cleaned throttle bodies with tb cleaner, didn't see too much buildup, all engines get the carbon buildup though, not just direct injected.

The q70 l v8 is slower than the m56x

@@SPORTSARENAMUSIC I have a m37x and I'm trying to find the best option to get at least 450hp. I was thinking of a ls motor swap or if I can find a m56 just get that motor and do some tuning on it. If it was you with this slow m37 what would you do to get that extra hp?

I bought the car with Stillen exhaust and tune so baseline is skewed but probably around 370-375whp

The M56x, M56S, and M56xS all produced 420 bhp & 417 ftq. At the wheels they put down between 395 & 410 whp depending on elevation. Torque ranges also. I've seen tuned base model m56 put out 430 to wheels.

The exhaust is custom built by Zury Fabrications, I think the mufflers are Magnaflow but not 100% certain.

I've had modded tuned g35 and g37 so I'm well aware how difficult it is to get any additional power out of VQ. With M56 it is a little easier because it has a lot of hidden untapped potential: 4 cats instead of two, weird blocking plates inside stock exhaust that rob power and a very conservative factory tune. Also I think these are underrated from factory, never was able to do a baseline so can't say for sure.

He made 400 whp so he didn’t make 80 whp from a tune and exhaust lol that’s not possible. He just titled it 500hp for click bait purposes. It seems like you googled “m56s hp” and the first result google showed you was 420, hence why you assumed he gained 80 hp bc 420+80 = 500 lol anyway you shouldn’t believe google results.

@@DEATHWISHVQ finally somebody with some sense. Cracks me up all these people that think you can just do a tune and exhaust and intake and suddenly gain 80 hp. If it was that easy, everybody on the streets would be doing it.

Rear wheel drive is about 0.2 sec faster, awd version is built for traction, not for performance. Not even sure why people buy x version in dmv area where it snows once a year.

@@serega13 it depends on what kit you have i have the x with the sport package and i do very fine.. The ones without i understand but mine came wit the techno package and sports package

Who did your tune for you? I'm having a hard time finding a shop that wants to mess with my car because they say no one really has any data on the m56
