It's spelt Goulburn
Goulburn is the best Australian regional city. It is so beautiful! What amazing work. Goullburn Brewery. The oldest surviving Brewery. Well done Goulburn.
I was lucky to receive the 10 year anniversary 1966 to 1976 pottery flagon of port from Parramatta Bar Roma in the 70s. Still have it unopened and wax sealed and still has the label booklet attached.
Hello I'm trying to find history of Amelia Ann Mundy June 4 1851. Mother Anne Mundy Howe 1827 wife of Henry Edward Mundy . They are family and im trying to provide information of my aboriginality
Thankyou for posting this when you did.
Exactly the case in Jindabyne when it was flooded in 1967 I lived there as a child and yes we lost our connection back to our to our childhood days, interesting about the total disregard to Aboriginal sacred sites and their land Thank you heritage NSW
My mum was an Oxley from Temora. She lived with her family near the station until she met my father a dashing sailor in WWll who was my Dad. She later went to live in Perth. Every so often though she returned to Temora for a holiday and I remember the station and the puffing billies. I played on the overhead bridge with my brother. Mum and dad long gone to heaven now but I know they both loved the place. I only wished I had been able to take Mum back here before she passed away. But I know she would be thrilled that it was restored and kept for perpetuity. Likewise so am I. It was a wonderful station and I remember the silos too. I’m too sick and old myself to travel back there but seeing this video made my heart sing with the memories and the sound of the shunting at night as I recall was a comforting thing and no one minded the noise of the trains. I used to listen to them purposefully. I miss those days. Thankyou for saving Temora station.
Why such a bogan voice?
Fantastic 🎉 I have been watching your progress of this amazing brewery. I drive past everyday in my little pink car stalking you guys hahahaha. My hubby and I are looking forward the the brewery opening.
Thank you for sharing this, and thank you to Aunty Enid (and to her ancestors who she was able to have the Knowledges passed down). I've found her reflections of great benefit in helping me gain a better understanding of the connection the Wiradjuri have for the area, as this is the land I was born and raised near or on. Look forward to continuing to learn more.
Nice story, I enjoyed it ... Jeff Elliott, originally from Bega ... now in Quebec city.
My 4x great grandfather was the first superintendent of the female factory in Parramatta. In those days, it was above the prison located in Prince Alfred Park next to the Riverside Theatre. He ended up marrying one of those women and she became my 4x great grandmother. This was a long time before the story in this video.
One of the jobs was picking tar from the ships ropes.....this story is full of more holes than a sieve !.....If you really want us to believe there were convicts then you need to come up with better stories....years i have had to listen to this garbled rubbish....mainly in the indoctrination centres we were sent to as children...in my mind....there were NO CONVICTS......its all a very bad cover story !!!!
my friends Mother worked in bar Roma Parramatta for several years and loved the whole experience
This is wonderful. How good that the local school kids were involved too. ❤💛🖤
Wow! I grew up near Parramatta in the 60s & 70s and we frequently visited and learned about the wonderful, abundant & incredibly important history of the place (& the Colony) but I never knew there was an uprising and breakout at the Female Factory!! Thank you so much for this fascinating story!
Shoalhaven is jerrinja country
The aboriginal liaison officer at the Shoalhaven council never understood me when I said hello in Yuin. We have 1/4 Wiradjuri people telling fair skinned coloured people to leave the city. Not their country. If there is culture here I cannot find it. Maybe further south. Yuin people making rules for didgeridoo when it isn't their culture. Either it's secret business or people don't really have a clue. I love being aboriginal and the culture but something has gone wrong. We are making it up as we go because we don't really know. The mobs have got to stop fighting and work things out amongst themselves.
I am Amercian living in Parramatta. I read much as I can. I wish to know my home.
Everybody wants access to white people & western society. when we say something we r racist....the Chinese will never be westerners & making the claim they r Aussies is a insult & racists AF.
Loved this! So fascinating. I want to know more. Keep it coming!
“I wouldn’t say it was racism, its just because they were different” Isn’t that like the definition of racism
true lol
