Admittedly I never use it the AA or carplay feature. When the headunit is so much more capable than AA I didn't see the point. I guess I could see AA being a priority for those that want to be able to text while driving (through voice) but other than that scenario I find the headunit itself so much more capable. But yes, their instructions are trash.

For me and my head unit it did help. But as we see on the forums not all of the Joying head units are built the same even though they look the same. I could have gotten lucky.

The 2 I put in the description are the only ones I know of. However, you don't have to put in a passcode to update the software on the cluster.

Thanks for chiming in :) reason is I removed my rear view mirror off my windshield. But even if I didn't, I often load up my cargo area to the roof and even if I had a rearview mirror I wouldn't be able to see out the back because all the cargo would be in the way of the mirror.

Ah, that makes sense! I drive a cube van for work, so I guess I'm just used to not having a rear-view mirror.

I want one when I'm pulling a trailer.

your usb plug broke on your digital cluster or are you saying the file is broken?

@@ElevatedVehicles the usb cable that holds the flash drive. It was hanging on the vehicle, when I was entering the vehicle in and out I stepped in, causing damage to the head of the usb cable.

Most likely their aux mic input on the back of the headunit is not grounded. Not your fault. Factory issue IMO

@@philboss4442 I use google maps on my Joying head unit and it shows how fast I'm driving in that app. Have you tried that?

I have used Google maps and it works great. Only thing it doesn't record it anywhere, at least where I can find. Thank you for try he feedback. Most helpful.

Thank you for the kind words! Yes the apk should be found in your files folder (they aren't hidden) if you can't find them for some reason the XDA forum thread will have. I would post link but youtube removes links. If you google 'joying 2023 xda forum' you should find the thread. The front and rear cameras can record just like a dash cam or a "DVR" but you'll need a micro sd card in the head unit for it to function :)

You sure can. I have a video on my channel about it. As far as Uber eats & door dash specifically, I'm unsure but every app I've ever tried is able to run side by side next to each other on the same screen. I just haven't tried Uber eats and doordash together since I don't use those apps

@@ElevatedVehicles 1. Would you be able to test those two apps, and see if they work side by side? 2. Can one connect a mouse for navigation of Joying head unit?

@@raczyk I'm out of town until Oct unfortunately for work. As for the mouse, I haven't tried. Some have had success on connecting peripherials (I think I spelled that wrong) and others haven't had that luck. I'd check out the thread on XDA forums called Joying 2023 and post in there. Owners will give ya pointers on that :)

True, google drive keeps deleting it off their servers. Best to reach out to Joying. They, I heard, also have a newer version of the file. For me, I no longer needed the file as I completely ADB command wiped the factory launcher off my unit and made Nova my default.

That's correct. You load an micro SD card into unit or a usb stick and it saves to that object you choose. I love it. It does not save audio however. But it's great otherwise.

Thank you for the kind words. No way to flip or rotate cameras without physically doing so before you mount them. Haven't seen a way to use bluetooth without running the built in bluetooth app

Yes sir that's true. The APK that worked for me may not work for your head unit. You're right it would be best to email joying to have then send you the APK for your unit 🙂

Interesting. Perhaps because you haven't gone into the file folder and installed the hidden android apk ? I wonder if that may be why

Mine had no problem connecting to my iphone. Perhaps change your hotspot setting?

I use to hit the home button. Now, I completely got rid of it so I have no way to get to the default that came w/ the Head unit. My default home app is now nova.
