I was fly fishing sandy creek again and caught 2 suckers, 3 brook trout and a rainbow. whats weird tho is it only ever gets stocked with brook trout so how that trout got in there is beyond me. it probably just got in the stocking truck one way or another with the brook trout.
Tiger Trout Fishing Stocked Lake - Saskatchewan

My buddy and I went up past Preeceville Saskatchewan to a lake called Lady Lake. this lake is known to be stocked with Tiger trout, rainbow trout and brook trout. we set off in the mariner 4, a pretty awesome little boat for stocked trout fishing. and used slip bobbers with worms in about 3 feet of water. it was hard fishing because the water was so clear and shallow the fish saw us from a ways...

This footage is showing the first 3 hours of our day(May 6 2019). it is just my perspective, cole(the guy with me) caught a lot more that i didnt put into the video. and also later on in the day the bite really heated up and we caught a lot more off camera. this is just in the Buffalo Pound spillway. we were using a 1/4 oz jig with 5" white fat grub. moving it very slowly just above the weeds.

Went fishing in the qu'apelle valley of Saskatchewan Canada. Only caught little ones. Video ends abruptly because my battery dies. I caught a few more fish after and land a 5 lb walleye. Sorry about the rubbing noise in the video during the second half. I'm not sure why it was doing that. Thanks for watching, hope you enjoy. One of my favourite creeks. Just curious if the other creek you mentioned is also in the cypress hills?
cool
Thanks for the motivation. I'm planning a trip to that exact spot with some ultralight gear in about a week. Hopefully, I can land some beauties like you did.

Besant Campground?
You have the same Bow as me
Such a beauty Trout!! I didn't know there was Tigers in Sask...I'd love to go here!! Awesome video!
If anyone wants to know, this is Steiestol Lake in Greenwater Provincial Park. The bench and the dock are dead give aways. Deadly hidden gem trout fishing!!
Is there quad access to the lake? Or is the gate always closed in the summer and hike in only
Tigers are so beautiful, dont have them in NW Ontario. Manitoba is the closest area that has them. To catch my first on a fly would be sick! Itll probably happen ice fishing though. Cheers!
You allowed to run 2 lines at a time open water here?? Must not be in sask...
More Sask boys! Loved the video guys. I've never went for bear but I could only imagine! love to hit yah with a sub! #385!

That crazy man, I’ve had my bear bait out for a good month now and haven’t had anything come in yet.
Haha that's awesome so close! Good footage... the last one I got too my hands were shaking 😆
Great job excellent video 👊🏻
"I think I just shit myself" lmao ! Nice hunt boys gets the blood going forsure. P.s. you're a good friend telling your buddy it's alright it's alright good job keeping him calm.
Nicely done man!! That was close!!! Lol
Thanks man means a lot. Hope you’re slaying the walleye this spring.
@@twinbucktv284 Thanks man!! I'll try my best. Haha
is there also rainbow trout in there? thank you
there are in the pond by the park entrance. not in the river or lake.
Why you gotta squeeze the fuck out of the fish like that
Nice video! Love those trout
I wanna get to last lake this late winter is the fishing still good there? I heard people aren’t catching up there much anymore. I wanna go because you can keep the trout you catch. Everywhere else it’s catch and release only around here in southern sask.. Sucks
I'm not exactly sure where the ranger station is... is that by fort walsh?
ya just north of there
@@twinbucktv284 thanks. I'm hoping to get there this summer. I started fly fishing 2 years ago and haven't caught anything. Been mainly going to stocked ponds. I'm hoping cypress changes my luck
Spin casting is never better than fly fishing
Is it possible to catch these guys on a spinning reel?
@@austinporter6701 yes
Average eye for that area. There are 14-18 pounders in there lol. Awesome feeling getting a PB though. Well done. Use the tent to measure and picture the fish. Saves it from freezing. Eyes and gills can feeeze in seconds depending the weather. Sorry to preach but needs to be seen in order to have others do it right. Nice video. We should get together and slam some lml giants. I got some gooooooooooood spots
Great video. Could you please tell we where you hunt in saskatchewan. I living in regina. It's really hard for me to find a public land.
Is that Round Lake?
Is this the little lake just north of greenwater provincial park? The pull off looks familiar. I camped there this summer and I debated about doing the hike to check it out. I had mostly bigger lures for pike or walleye so I decided to skip it that trip.
You still got that bear bow??
Some of that area looks like where I hunt in Mexico.
4:27 Safety was off and your shotgun was pointed at your buddy!
Im pretty sure it's his dad
Great video! So for the Stevens 555, which model are you using specifically (555 Deluxe, 555E, etc.). I'm looking at a Stevens for quail hunting in California. We have to have steel shot as well, so im curious if you have experience in steel shot running through yours. Thanks man, and keep up the good work!
ya ive used steel through it. works just as good. i just have the standard 555 12ga. it was the only option at my local cabelas.
Sad

Buena caceria de faisanes
Hey there, I'm new to the province and looking for a lake just like that to fly fish for rainbows. What lake is that?
A few good spots in Sask are down south in the cypress spots such as bone and Battle Creek, can produce solid browns from what I’ve seen. I think these guys are up north in the Narrow hills provincial park, if you google narrow hills there a several lakes as well as creeks that are annually stocked.
Amazing shots kid 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽😁😁
Nice country side you’re in . Just subbed
Nice video!
Omg I gotta try this out awesome video john thanks you for the walleye meal
Great video man beautiful fish. Only thing missing is my wonderful commentary lol
