Not being able to think right - like having symptoms similar to ADHD makes it hard for you to do the things that can help you recover.. like remembering to make phone calls and make appointments and do this and do that.. Would you say that's correct? I find I'm constantly being asked why I do or don't do certain things and why I forget things and I don't even know myself things that I need to do and I don't know how to explain why I can't keep on top of things .. I can't explain why even if I sit 10 million reminders for something I will still forget or even over sleep or something

I had the interesting experience, many decades ago, of using Burroughs Wellcome's 5 mg tablets of their 'Methedrine' brand of methylamphetamine hydrochloride. Those 5 mg 'crystal meth' tablets were really no different in clinical effect to the 5 mg tablets of dextroamphetamine sulphate marketed today. I understand that (ironically) only in the USA are methylamphetamine hydrochloride 5 mg tablets still marketed as a therapeutic good--under the brand name 'Desoxyn'.

Yes, my depression caused me a problem with concentration, and it started when I was 11. But then I discovered that I have Bipolar 2. It causes a huge problem with cognition and executive functions. I forget a lot, and can't keep thinking about the same thoughts, my mind runs around.

But unfortunately I went into depression during my college years and since then it's extremely difficult for me to focus, be attentive, memorizing things, thinking etc. I have been struggling to even read, write and even do daily chores for years. I request someone to please suggest any remedies to overcome this as this has severely affected me. Please geniune remedies.

Examine your daily activities and you will get to know the reasons for happening so. E.g. how much is your screen time, how much your scroll even after a few seconds or minutes. What do you eat or do you exercise? Do you indulge your brain in some mental exercises? Do you get stressed or anxious enough? Do you Overthink more often? And finally, you will get the most required and effective remedies for your problems.

I am a registered addict and get monthly Buvidal injections .. since I started treatment I barely crave nicotine ! It’s crazy!😊

This guy losses all credibility by saying they decreased their chance of using by 250%, the most it could possibly be is 100%. Which would mean no one who has ADHD and takes ADHD meds ever uses chemicals, which is obviously not true. Maybe learn how percentages work if you intend to lie with them...

I'm 22 years old, and I've been in deep depression for 4 years now. At first, it was because of the way my life was going, now it's because of my physical disability that also affects my look. I'm disabled since the day I was born, but I didn't get sad over it for most of my life until it deteriorated 3 years ago. The first year of my depression felt like a down mood, it was not a big deal, but these 3 years feel like a death sentence. Every year I feel I'm getting stupid bit by bit, as of now, my comprehension ability really weakened, I can't properly read a book without reading the same sentence at least hree times.

Dr, im an old nearlyv70 y.o female gp,general internist, clinical biochemist , but You never have heard about Methedrine,Desoxyn, even Desoxyn Gradumate slow release ,discontinued in 1990s, it was matrix tablet which contains 10-20 mg d-meth in one sr or er tbl, pharmaceuticaly made from ephedrine, not from preudoephedrine or p2p ofc ,by profesionals from Abbott.Btw if You want to made biphetamine (Didrex),You must make pure d-meth first in pharma, chemical company (Pfizer)?

Most people when experiencing a temporary severe illness like complications from food poisoning while recovering from it will be self-aware that they have mild to moderate depression and cognitive impairment and so they refrain from working until they have made a complete recovery from the same. A shared mental illness like Folie a' Deux after trying to cope with so many rule changes over years both at work and at home during a pandemic say in a couple who both work long hours in their professions while being in denial about their understandable at the time problems in trying to keep up with it all would be something altogether different.

As a pharmacologist, it disturbs me and others in the science community that powerful and addictive amphetamines have become too overprescribed and "ok" for long term use. We've already been through one Amphetamine crisis in the 50s, 60, and 70s and are presently in an opioid one. Remember what they (i.e. big pharma marketing) said about opioids and how safe they were for long term use? Big Pharma and Big Mental Health are fooling many Americans again yet we don't see this happening in other countries. Hmmm...

Being a smoker is extremely common for people with undiagnosed ADHD and woman have been and still are painfully underdiagnosed when it comes to ADHD. So a smoking or otherwise substance addicted mother has a higher chance of having ADHD themselves, making the childs chance higher as well. So concluding from the information gathered that it is the nicotin that is at fault seems like quite the stretch.

Very enlightening video, I appreciate the comparison of meth to adhd medication. A similar analogy would be comparing water to ammonia. I would also love to see more research on the effects of nicotine vs synthetic nicotine. Academics were always known to chain smoke and read at the same time to enhance their cognitive functions, I think the same is for an unmedicated ADHD person.

About the pregant nicotine use causing ADHD, I believe it for sure, but did they control for smoking mother's being more likely to have ADHD themselves? and it just being heredity.
