Can you show a short video only the install
Flashers pretty sweet!!
Is that the fuel pump, it made my head ring
@@That_97TRX sure is noisy… we’ll find a new mounting location before the next derby! 😜😜
Love it man where is the minis? :-)
Now that's how to increase sales on locking gas caps lol😂😂😂
I knew someone was stealing gas out of my truck! 🤣😂
Can I ask if that lego set is genuine or not? Did you buy it in the US?
@@KhangLe-we4gi yes it’s. Genuine lego set purchased at Walmart here in the US.
@@johnsonmotors435 So do you know the mykingdom store? That shop specializes in toys, so I see that your Lego box is a bit different from that shop, so I'm wondering because there's no printed number there, but your set does.
❤
@@johnsonmotors435 How many hours did it take you to arrange that set?
@@KhangLe-we4gi I don’t remember… approx 1-1.5ht but with my son doing one vehicle and myself doing the other.
With that much space before the exhaust goes out the pipes what is creating outward draw? In my opinion a divider need to be welded in to help direct the flow.
What speed do you set the buffer?
My cheap Chicago just has digital numbers so I don’t know what rpm exactly but shoot for 1200-1800 on my cheap buffer I put it on “11-12”
Do you still have your 2015 RG? Still have mine and enjoying every time we ride.
I actually just sold it last month but I also replaced it with another bike that I’ll be doing some UA-cam videos on. Anytime on two wheels is a good time!!!
New gas tank. Some fuel pumps have a little internal guaze filter to clean out, its behind a brass hex nut in the motor bay.
Its better to spray the panels as close to vertical as you can, stand them up and spray light coat to avoid runs.
Ill give you about 2 dog turds. 1 for each cyclinder
Give me a 58 panhead.
Basically a new bike.... put 30k on 2023 already in only one year
And it's going to be for sale for a long long LONG time
How do you figure?
It sold in 3 weeks for $14,500
I like you how much
Hoya
Still for sale? I was watching the videos and was shocked you're selling it. How much were you selling for?
Beautiful family, I live watching these kinds of videos. Just came across your channel, time to binge lol. I have a 71 Super also
Looks like you guys are having fun. Totally unnecessary to do the epoxy primer on the interior of the bug but nice work just the same. Exterior yes but interior not so much.
characteristics of your compressor?
Looks good to me. She will be beautiful again.
Did it sell?
Nope not yet… priced it higher to weed out the low ballers
Looks amazing!
JUST RUB DRY SPOTS DOWN WITH 400 WET AND DRY PAPER THEN RECOAT🙂
Looks really nice!
Good job teaching your kids something besides a screen
Are you going to put the front and back bumpers on
Are you going to paint the super beetle a brighter yellow
Why is the tennis ball doing in there
On a hill start you can use the handbrake to hold the car as you pull away them it won't roll backwards.
Paint job looks like crap but one hell of a job taping
Brand new Tennis Ball.... LOL
you're a cool dad
Thanks! I try to be 😎
@@johnsonmotors435 just finished the series. What’s the next set of wheels going to be?
Jbugs
"promo sm"
yo Tod this is ransom johnson, I might be interested in buying this super beetle, my bug is shot, this bug is beautiful buy the way!!! 😮
Excellent job on resto looks great and good luck with sale,I’d be tempted to paint the outer chrome strips black and refit as them covers the holes and look great with the wheels
Thank you! Keep watching our channel for more fun restoration projects!
I really enjoyed watching y'all work on this car. I'll be sad to see it go.
Thank you for the support! Keep watching the channel we will be documenting more of our automotive restorations and mods
Nice, we just straight piped my sons truck, it’s 1994 dodge 5.9L 1500 single cab short bed.
Loud pipes save lives
@@johnsonmotors435 true that 🤣
Nice, i have 72 super two tone blue n white
Sounds like a beautiful ride you have!!! Thanks for watching! Subscibe if you haven’t already so you don’t miss out on any progress on this project!
I bought my 73 vw super bettle convertible just about a month ago and I already got a parts car. I want to try to finish it before I get my drivers license. Already took the engine out and in the process of taking the body off. You have no idea how jealous I am that your vw is fixed up and ready to drive! Thank you for this video
That is so awesome!!! You don’t know how happy it makes us old guys to hear about the younger drivers taking an interest in the automotive culture that we are so passionate about. Good luck and I can’t wait to see and hear about your project progress!!
Because I still a vw, a piece of crap
Nice work
Thanks for you comment! Thanks for watching!
I had a yellow 71 super beetle stock automatic stick shift paid 700 bucks in 1980 for it. 1st year super beetle is special. Inlet to carb popped off. Watched it burn to the ground. 9 beetles later I have 65 sunroof bahama blue sunroof from California. Bought off original owner with folder of pretty much all the maintenance she had done. Dealer window sticker. I paid $2100.00 Did I pay to much?😊
That’s so awesome! Love to hear a good beetle owner story!!! Um you totally scored that ‘65… how do you sleep at night!? Probably on your back 😜 Thanks for watching… hope you feel like subscribing… we are documenting all the process of this 1st car for my 16yr old son… I’ve also got a 1968 Chevy II that will be in the channel in future vids.
Just subscribed
Im curious why you didn’t remove the seals on the fenders and slightly leave the fenders attached with a couple of bolts (or removed completely) and then spray it? It’s likely the paint will peel on the fender seals.
The short answer is: that is a great idea we just didn’t want to take the time to do it. We got to the point that we realized we were going much further than we intended to anyway with this car as a 1st time driver vehicle… also the car had at some point been repainted the yellow color and had already been painted over the seals and had not flakes off so we were cheap. Also the likely hood of having to replace the seals all together if we separated the fenders. If my boy manages to not wad this car up in his first years of driving we will likely do a proper full disassembly and restoration of the exterior. Thank you for watching and thank you for your comments!
@@johnsonmotors435 I completely understand. I just noticed you had gone through the trouble of removing the hood and truck lid so I was curious why you didn’t remove the fenders. I think the fender seals are cheap. My very first car at 16 years old was a 1964 bug. I bought it from a junkyard without a motor. My dad and I bought a motor and we rebuilt it together and we rebuilt all suspension. This was a great bonding experience for me. I had that bug throughout my 20’s when it was stolen! I wish I still owned that car.
@@TonyLiveTV that’s an awesome story/memory… thank you for sharing… That was the whole Genesis to making this UA-cam channel about the process of building the bug was to get the boys involved in a project they could not only learn in but spend time with me(dad) and their grandpa(seen in several episodes! It’s been awesome doing these things with the boys!
Shutting off when stopping could be a float issue also. maybe not set correctly
I’m uploading a new video Sunday addressing “WHY” but you are correct we did find debris in the float inlet shut off that could have been contributing to the problem. Thank you for your input and again thank you for watching and for your support!
