great video! It is possible somehow to use our own concrete sinks that we produce to create different bathrooms ideas with them?
@@justebukauske9031 you should be able to use the new edit features to do this!
Still not working unfortunately on my macbook m4 I'm sure it's my error but I'll check a few other videos. I can't enable the promper in display link settings unfortunately.
Hi, I’ve just started following your channel. I’ve also just watched your review on Rayon, which was really informative. I’m a project manager who has interior design experience. I’m currently using Room sketcher as a quick got to ‘get the plan down’ programme. If I was starting out as an interior designer who can actually manage projects, source all the trades, materials etc, what programme would you suggest I take a look at? I saw an easy to use interior design programme the other day called design files. It seemed pretty straight forward. I’m looking to work mostly online. I value your opinion, hence me asking you the question. Many thanks, Gary
Hi Gary, this is a great question. The short answer is that it depends on the end product that you are going to deliver to your clients. For ideation, Design Files would be sufficient. It is easy to use and you could pick it up in a few hours. If you are delivering drawings in 2D then Rayon is an excellent platform. If I wanted to produce a simple floor plan this is my go -to. However, where it does get a bit more tricky is if you are producing elevations and sections. In a program like SketchUp, because you are drawing in 3D you are able to produce elevations and sections using your existing model. With Rayon, you would have to redraw them. It’s no big deal if 2D is the end result but I tend to think in 3D so I would always end up in SketchUp particularly if I am sending these drawings for construction. If you are new to CAD, I would start with Rayon. It’s a monthly subscription so that you could be up and running in a couple of days. You could use this for a couple of months , get used to it and then if you want to jump into 3D then I would go for SketchUp. A lot of the principles of CAD programs are the same and you will find that practicing on Rayon will give you a greater understanding and SketchUp will be a lot easier to learn and understand if later you decide to you like 3D. Hope this makes sense. Feel free to ask any further questions. Happy to help! Btw, learning this type of software is fun and very satisfying. You will be surprised at what you can create.
@ thank you so much for coming back to me. It’s really appreciated. P.S. loving the channel
@ no problem
I cant find the display link manager on my settings. This is so frustrating
you may have to download the software if you don't have it installed on your mac. Check your applications folder first and if it is not there you can find a download using search.
Thanks. You saved my life.
glad it worked for you!
grazie mille ;)
Non c’è di che
Before I found your video I was SO frustrated and ready to return my prompter, although thanks to your video I now have gotten it to work with my Mac for the first time! Thank you so much for sharing this, I really appreciate it! 😃
I'm so glad that the video was helpful!
THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!!!
You are so welcome!
You just saved my life!! Thank you!!!! I bought 2 cables and tried so many different things. Your advice was the only one that worked 👍😍
I know how frustrating it can be when tech doesn’t work!
Could you kindly share the prompt you used?
Hi , I actually used a storyboard feature to generate the video
I often go down the rabbit hole of Midjourney and go wild, which is fun, however your information here has been super useful, thank you.
Glad to help, it is super easy to go down the rabbit hole!
Thank you. It works!!!!!
That's great!
Thanks, fixed the problem!😊
Glad you sorted it out!
No I only have the $20 subscription, but I made 5 videos and I have run out of tokens. I think $200 is way too expensive to experiment with this
Question - did you create this with the 200 per month subscription? I heard that the less expensive subscription only makes 480p vids:((
No I created this with the 20 plan but have run out of credits
Thanks for the help
Hope it worked out
I started mine a while back, just finding the confidence and fighting the fear is the way to go!
Haha- best thing about starting out is that no one is watching anyway. There is freedom in that. Give yourself a pat on the back for just giving it a go!
Rayon is a neat tool, bu t it is INCREDIBLY frustrating for someone new to learning the software. It is very limited to US customers as most if not all blocks are for EU customers only. This is annoying to say the least. Then the tutorials they offer are not beginner friendly and are catered to those who are already familiar with CAD type software.
Yes these are all valid comments. Rayon is a program based in France, and yes, it can be challenging to use if you have never used CAD software before. However, though the blocks are in metric, you can convert all blocks to feet and inches and the sizes are pretty standard around the world, its just the way that they are measured that are different. However if you are interested in learning a 2 d software, the learning curve is a lot easier than if you tried to learn a software such as sketchup. I also found the tutorials to be a little challenging if you are a user who has never used a CAD software before. However, having started my CAD journey with AutoCAD way back in the 90s I can tell you that everyone feels this way at first. The key here is to start with a small project- a simple room with a window and door, and build up your skills this way. Learning a CAD program is based on practicing drawing. it is difficult to learn unless you start by drawing simple things and making a few mistakes and building your skills for there. I am starting a community for designers and I will start creating videos to explain the principles of CAD design. Do subscribe so that you can find out when it is launched. Also if you want a similar type of program but US based, check out Coohom.
Thank you so much!!!! I was getting a little flustered with the set up until I found your video. I hope you created a video for eBay comes next! I am using my cell phone I can’t afford a professional camera yet. If you have please forward a link. Thanks Still I Rise: Being Veronica Alease Davis

I am From France and I started an interior design course a few months ago. First on Sketchup, telling myself that artificial intelligence would soon make everything that is realistic rendering and also creative easier for me. Here we are! Your video is really interesting. Thank you. I finished Sketchup, I'm going to start playing with Midjourney🙂 I allow myself a small remark, the music and the pop-up noises are a little loud at the beginning compared to your voice while your voice and your diction are very pleasant.
Thank you for your kind words. Still working on sound design skills and will pay more attention next time. I am so glad you are having fun with visualisation. It’s honestly the most fun part of design.
You just saved my entire day. Thank you!!!

While I have been known to frequent every decent art supply store and serious stationery near me, I have taken recently to going to any estate sale that mentions "art" in their listing. I have bought a lot of stuff I'll never use, but I've also gotten quite a few nice items. I'm presently using a small six ring binder notebook from 1940 for any art ideas that come to me. Still, Choosing Keeping looks great! Thanks for the video.
Sounds like a great find! Enjoy!

Thank you I will try this- and my Mac is a Imac 2020 Intel Machine (Sonoma OS 14.5) and I just purchased the Elgoto Prompter and Face Camera a few days ago. Reached out to Elgoto and not heard back from them yet. But yes I will try this and see what happens.- Update- Got the Display Manager working, and the prompter has my desktop, but is frozen and shows nothing else. Ill try to redo the steps again .
There is a toggle at the bottom of the display link screen, make sure that is on. Hope you get it to work.
Ok I believe I'm moving with this. Thanks for this video, I have it working, and it's about figuring out what's happening and how it works now. And yes I can see the value in this and I'm ready to really learn and use it.
@@designinkco The toggle is enabled, but there is no picture (video of me showing like it was when I first connected it). So I have no control of the camera or my documents . The monitor features are working also.
@@designinkco I Finally got it. I believe the problem is that I was running the camera from a hub, and It needs power so I connected to the computer itself, and quit the Camera hub and restarted from the Applications folder- now it works. I'm not going to try to replug into a hub and try to run that way (ran out of internal USB inputs.
@@garyclement2888 I’m glad you fixed it. I have mine running into a CaldigitTS4 and it works but those other hubs without power won’t work. When I am feeling brave one day iI’ll try it out with the Elgato hub to see if that gives it enough power. Anyway glad you don’t have to go through the bother of returning it.
Thanks!
My pleasure! Hope it’s working for you now!

Great advice!! I agree that most systems lack something or another. The closest I’ve been able to find to being perfect is indema.
@@Designerfrankielarson thanks for this suggestion. I haven’t reviewed some of the other platforms because you have to sit through a sales call. I’m in Australia/ Hong Kong so if they are US based the timing is very tricky. I’ll check it out and see if I can get access to it.
@@designinkco reach out to them. They adjust demo times based on where you are. 🥰
Thank you!!!! You saved my day!
so happy to help you!
Suggestion: make the timestamps showing the preview of the drawing and interface instead of the person face, to easily navigate through segments.
Thank you for the suggestion, I will keep that in mind
@@designinkco I like watching you explain it! I feel like with a review, I want to see you talk about it, but with a tutorial I would want to see the program itself on the screen.
@@thelifeofkatiej Let me know if you would like some tutorials and I will make them. However, Rayon themselves have made some tutorials that do explain the main functionalities
I can only say: THANK YOU for your video and its solution. I would never have found it otherwise. Switched on the displaylink manager and ... all good to go! We should inform Elgato about this to enter in their quick start guide!
Glad it helped! Yes I am so surprised that they haven't included this instruction - I would have saved me a few hours of investigation and trial and error
