death stranding is easy to run though. i was playing it at 1440p nearly getting 60fps on a gtx 1070 in 2020.

That was an interesting take that I hadn’t heard yet from Xbox content creators. It really can be a graphical showpiece. I really liked and got addicted to the ‘like’ system more than the story itself, for me. Rebuilding roads, etc. It was a great looking game

Sony was/is in a pinch of needing IP. I'm a Hideo stan (big secret reveal) but so is Sony lol they was willing to let Kojima do what needs to be done to help one another out. No one else in the industry gets the amount of rope he gets!

While Decima is a solid Forza tech is quite good and makes the Forza horizon games look quite good and Fable is looking quite good as well. I do also think Hell Blade 2 looks phenomenal. I think visuals are also not the only thing there's frame rate and other things. Though maybe Sony should be looking at competing in the engine space and making money licensing. On the competitive front I really think Microsoft's idea and push is to make hardware in the console space similar to the movies where exclusives are no longer tied to hardware but to digital platforms. The idea that just like a DVD player plays DVDs all consoles would be similar in that they would play all games.

The series X is an awesome console! Xbox just lacks the competence to bring the best out of it.

PCs are a hobby unto itself. Learning and getting familiar with PC assembly, benchmarking, fine-tuning overclocks and thermals, discussing new tech and standards, getting closer and closer to your dream build. It goes well beyond just having a device to game on.

The pro still has the bad cpu and no one can do anything to improve it.

I have one and i notice a difference. If it's in your budget, get it! If not, that's OK too. I appreciate the refresh!

I agree with you on the console end but you have no idea how fun modding is, console gaming is like apple a closed ecosystem that does what it does within it phenomenally pc gaming is like android completely open with a world of possibilities for individuals to truly tailor make their own experiences with being a dev or game designer, both options serve a purpose and do it well.

100% worth it..The games I've played look and play amazingly on the pro compared to the old PS5 it's like night and day especially on Rebirth, Spider-Man 2, Stellar Blade, and Last Of Us: Part 2 Remastered.

Personally I believe it’s just too expensive. There’s minor upgrades and to sell a “pro” product I need to know why I need to be buy it now with urgency from a marketing point of view. Sony hasn’t delivered that and they’re moving like Apple, buy the phone buy the charging block separate when the phone cost £1000+. This pro should’ve had a disc drive included with the price it’s currently at.

I think its pretty simple. People saw the side by side of the ps5 and ps5 pro and decided that the minor graphical improvements arent worth the extra cost. Even if the ps5 pro has 28% better ram or is better at ray tracing it doesnt matter the games look the same and people dont want to pay that price tag for a such a small difference especially if they already have a ps5. The ps5 pro cost the same amount as a decent pc and personally my console friends have mostly moved to pc as we grew up and generally people who want to game prefer pc (i know you like console gaming and i get why i do to but i dont think the small visaull upgrade is worth the price or sacrifing getting a good pc for)

Worry you are 100% right on what you said on all of your points. But I also think way more to elaborate on many other aspects you touched one and a few you might have missed. Probably could spend a couple hours on the topic with someone if talking points was laid out.

I hear what you're saying but the open aspects you're talking about are unique to the immersive Sim genre. Just like every game doesn't have dialogue as deep in narratives as branching as BGIII not every game is scoped to give you such freedom. The short answer as to why we don't see elements like these rolled into more modern games is because they're difficult (and costly) to implement. They also dont sell very well unfortunately.

Burn the sunset overdrive disk on Blu-ray and then you all can play it on PS5.

GeForce Now does the stream to computer thing, and it works well for the paid version.

They have to put their games on Playstation. The 4 they just released sold more on Playstation then they ever did on xbox

Transbot was so repetitive… there was no ending to the game! The “mega” cartridge games were almost always better than the card games, although “My Hero” is one of my all time favorites.

With all the publishers MS has bought they can make a nice transition to a big 3rd party games company. I think they will always mark Hardware but I think they realized they lost that space as it is as you said why would someone buy an Xbox. One thing that baffled me is Game Pass on PC is 12.99 for day one releases but 19.99 on its own console. So they are even undercutting their own gamepass subs on Xbox. I think they positioning themselves like Netflix for games, they just announced a play anywhere campaign with game streaming, they are bringing over 1st party exclusives to PS5. Will we see Xbox Game Pass on PS6 like EA access and Ubisoft + I dunno but it looks like it is heading that way if they want to make back that 80 billion they spent!
