hi am from the fuyure
“Advanced tips and tricks today we learn how to ...... shift click!” As a Starcraft player I chuckled lol
This reminds me! Why cant we get a starcaft game that plays like NS2? Zerg vs terran!
Once match 633 comes out, I'll know COVID is over. Hope you're doing well
I hope hes doing well..
I'm doing well! Never got COVID luckily. At the outset of the pandemic when I was working from home I started playing a lot of Factorio, and got addicted to that. So I haven't played much of NS2 at all since then. My fingers also started to hurt when I played FPS games, maybe the start of some form of carpal tunnel, and NS2 was particularly bad.
@@EvisNS I would love some factorio playthrough too :D
how expensive Is NS2?
Basically free, maybe a few bucks. You should get it! The game is over 10 years old now but is still being actively developed.
Evis I'm going to be honest it hurts to watch this game play of myself. I'm so bad compared to where I am now even though I haven't played in a while until recently.
I go back and watch some of my earliest videos, and I was pretty horrible. My first real video was as alien commander in a game we lost and I made so many errors. What to do?
What a game!
I used to play this game way back. Six years or so. Looks kinda evolved. And I still can´t play as the admin
Could u make the arcs be attack phase when they reach the chosen destination from the robotic factory?
5:10 watch this fight at .25 speed and look at the jumping guy's movement.
Nice!

How did you remove mouth? I really like it but i didn´t found some setting. Could you make video where you will show us how to set: remove mouth and hitsound, please?
Those are called viewmodels, and you can disable them using a mod called NS2+. You can also enable hitsounds with that mod, just be sure to turn up the hitsound volume from the Sounds configuration tab. Nightmare created a video that discusses some of these things: ua-cam.com/video/3JikxvSEQXM/v-deo.html

How to sound hit damage
There are two different ways to get hitsounds. One way is to subscribe and activate a community mod specifically for hitsounds. These are found on the NS2 Steam Workshop page. The second way is to use the all-encompassing mod called NS2+, which has a separate tab for sounds by itself. The NS2+ mod has maybe 3 or 4 different sound types that you can switch between. The key thing, however, with both of these methods is that you're going to need to adjust the hitsound volume from the main sound options tab. I think by default the volume is set to zero, so you can't hear anything even when everything else is configured properly.

Evis i see you in server lol
Which server?
post more games, Elvis
Where can I find your HUD settings/mods? I'd love to have the same!
Crossroads is vital in this map. One of the maps where an early hive drop is really good. Whole team has to commit to blocking off the lanes while the gorges build. After that, secure the naturals then the Aliens are in a better position. If aliens get stuck in Atrium/sub access and cut off from their naturals, it's gg in 5 mins or less. Marine comm also done f'd up - proper gorge rush would have ended the game 10 minutes early, since their structures were clustered so close together.
@ 7:16 - once they said the whole team was in ball court, I would have tried to organize a gorge suicide attack with 1 or 2 other players. Look up the specific names of players - don't ask for help. Maybe a rush on the power node so they couldn't beacon or phase back. The marine comm might be too absorbed in ball court supporting his players so there's a chance it could work. Once power went down, call for reinforcements then start taking shit down.
figured you would post another sooner or later
Yup! I've been traveling a lot recently, both for work and vacation, so I haven't been playing as much NS2 as before. Will be traveling again soon, so I might only have a couple videos before next year.
@@EvisNS can't blame a person for trying to make it in the world. Good luck in all your endeavors. Keep up the awesome ns2 vids

Love how apparently no one realized that node went down... tunnel and kill rines would have been good response. Around 14 min mark.
Nice I'd love to see some exo suit action :)

That lurk play was disgustingly good
It amazes me how good you are. You can dodge attacks from skulks and lurks like no one's business. I never knew how good you were until I got the game. The learning curve is high as I can barely stay alive for one kill, yet you manage to traverse the map and counter sneaky skulks with ease. Well done! That is why I love watching you and why I got the game.
Wow, you're making me blush. Glad that you picked up the game and enjoy the videos. I'll keep making them as long as there are people like you to watch them! If there's certain content you'd like to see more or less of, don't hesitate to give feedback. I can also make tutorials and the like if there's interest there. I should say that I've been playing NS for a very long time... it started with NS1 way back in 2003, so I have probably 5000 hours of gameplay in NS1 and NS2 combined. My style of play is what I would call "hyper aggressive"... I do not intend on defending anything and instead will just relentlessly attack. There are exceptions, of course, like if there's a phase gate in a crucial spot that needs some defense to save. But otherwise, I watch the map while respawning to find a place to attack and then just keep attacking. I usually prefer to go somewhere where there aren't any marines so that the team is spread out and covering as much of the map as possible. This brings me into contact with aliens a lot, and I can usually manage to get a couple kills if they aren't ganging up. But it also means I die... a lot. In many of these games I upload I might end up with the most kills, but I'll often end up with the most deaths. Sometimes by a lot. So I can't necessarily recommend this style of play for people who are new to the game. Most tutorials or guides aimed at beginners will always suggest that you should stick with your teammates and never venture out into the map by yourself. There are two main reasons for this: first, you probably won't survive many engagements alone since you're not used to shooting at things on walls and ceilings, and second, you don't know the maps well enough to know proper positioning and where you should even be going to maximize effectiveness. This is probably good advice for newcomers... but at some point you will progress to the point where you can feel confident enough to make your own decisions as to what's best for the team, without needing the commander to give you any orders. My goals are never to amass kills... my goals are always to do what's needed to secure victory, and that usually amounts to fighting the war for resources. Kills come when the aliens try to stop you.
@@EvisNS Thank you so much for the tips! I will definitely adjust my strategy. I was copying your aggressive strategy and yeah, I die most of the time. I am still learning the maps and hopefully I will graduate out of recruit servers. Continue to upload as it also helps me get in the mood to start the game up.

subscribed to keep ns2 alive!
This game was so one sided. Also can't believe they let BOTH Nano Rts bleed to death. Watch kill feed @ 6:25
Completely one sided. I don't know what the aliens were doing in the first minute of the game, but giving up the entire map was not a good strategy.
Is there a reason as to why you never use the exos? Are they bad or is it just not your thing?
Not my thing, typically. I don't like getting stuck in the case of a beacon, and depending on someone to weld me. I think they're a liability against Onos. The way to play them effectively is very much against the way I like to play the game, so yeah... I prefer not to use them.
Exos are late game tech most games don't reach that long. Also against an alien team that puts up a fight by res biting slows the Marines commander's teching towards late game tech. So if you see Exos the games usually been a back and forth slugfest for about 20-30 minutes.
What do you make of the balance currently? Also nice game :)
I think balance is pretty good at the moment. I don't find there to be any clear abuses on either side. The meta for aliens seems to have changed in the last couple months as more commanders are opting for crag hive first. Vampirism is very strong. I suspect the devs might tone down the effect in future releases as marines typically complain about it.
Nice early game res biting, think Marines lost 6 RTs by the five minute mark. Good to see a game on Mineshaft as well, one of my favourite maps but doesn't get played often.
Honestly Mineshaft is one of my least favorite maps :/ It's because of the Cave hive and the over reliance on Central. Deposit is too easy to arc from Gap, Cave is too easy to JP/GL rush.... I could go on. But it is a pretty map, and I like the look of a mining facility.
@@EvisNS Haha I admire your honesty, the gameplay does leave something to be desired but the aesthetic was so unique I just fell in love with the map when I first saw it. At least we got Unearthed as well now, though I haven't played enough of it yet to know if it's much better on the gameplay side of things.
Can you do Marine Commander plz
I don't comm as much as I used to, but if the circumstances warrant I'll definitely post the video of it. In the meantime, there is a "Marine Commander" playlist here on my channel that you can check out.

Wow, I missed your videos. Seems like you took a break for a bit, glad to have you back and kicking alien scums. Keep up the great work!
Yeah, I had a lot of visitors over the last couple months and so have been very busy. Only was able to play for a few hours here or there, and the games were pretty bad. Should be back to a more regular schedule now :)
Keep em coming!
Roger that!
lol so many gates gone
You really upped your game in your latest vids, great accuracy!
I think I figured out why... my recording software (Bandicam) would really drag down performance as the game went on. I'd noticed that when I wasn't recording that gameplay was smoother. So I changed the recording quality in an attempt at reducing its overhead... seems to be working.
good to see your vids again
Winter is coming, should be many more :)
welcome back :D
Thanks! Just wasn't able to get many games in the last couple months.
