Rust´n´Dust 2018 Bergring Teterow

    Same car & color but the hardtop flattop variant is the one i'm looking for. I like the yellow too- not that mellow of a year for colors for Buick, but i like it when they pop.

    Took my driver's license test in my Dad's 1959 Buick LeSabre...fire engine red convertible. It had the somewhat smaller engine--364ci, rated at 250hp. The Dynaflow transmission was very smooth, but a little bit slow on heavy acceleration. A 59 Buick convertible now, is worth well over a hundred grand! The engine in that Electra would have been the famous 401ci "nailhead"...held in high regard by race drivers, for it's torque and 325hp.

      Yes, that rattle would drive me crazy! I can't stand rattles in a car. I would find it and fix it asap! I had a 49 Packard and there was a rattle in the dash and it drove me nuts! It became my obsession until I finally located it. I adjusted the glove box lid catch and it took car of it!

    I think my parents owned one of these cars or it was a lowly LeSabre, but I remember photographs of it with its mean, toothy looking front grille when looking at these pictures.

    The old time Buick Dealer Mechanics say the 1957-1959 Buick’s were the worst with lots of workmanship problems. Probably true across the board especially with Chrysler products.

    How’d she end up in Germany ?

    • @bighands69
      @bighands69 3 роки тому

      Those cars were never on sale in Germany to begin with so fans of the cars are going to go and buy them and get them shipped. There are also classic car sales in Europe that do imports as well. You can also find classic european cars in America.
