If you weren't so ignorant you'd notice that this character is still lvl 80 if you look at the armory. Also I don't think any lvl 90 has been able to get attack power spikes up to millions, causing me to hit up to 7 m with hammer. This was a vengeance bug that was later fixed so that it won't pass over your own max health. The only other class that was capable of hitting this high under extreme conditions during mists was warlocks with their chaos bolt. Look at the other videos if you're still not convinced.

After some deliberation and comparison with old and new stats, we've concluded that it's impossible at this current state to be able to 2-man Herald. The biggest reason is because the classes have changed so much since then. As paladins we've lost A LOT of our defensive stats and some abilities, like Guardian of Ancient Kings have been removed. But most importantly is the removal of Vengeance, which at the time was the only way to be able get enough dps to beat the enrage timer of the boss... Unfortunately Blizzard seems to enjoy to ruin everything else that isn't related to end-game. Which is a shame, but oh well... Fun things doesn't last forever :)

+Sookie mendez The raid difficulty doesn't affect the difficulty of bosses in Ulduar. They have their own triggers which decide if it's hard mode or not. In this case, hard mode is activated if you kill the iron council in a specific order. "Iron Council: This encounter scales depending on what order you kill the NPCs. This is because we had already done the achievement long before we could 2-man it. The proof is both of our videos where we display our gear and none of them exceeds past the required ilvl for the achievement. We have no reason to "cheat" since we've always tried to push our limits when it comes to 2-manning. It wouldn't be upload-worthy if it wasn't.

As far as I understand how this achievement works, is that it checks every player that is attacking the boss if it has the appropriate ilvl and level, which then gets awarded it the criteria is met. So, in that case, your theory wouldn't work, but you could always try if you really want to :)

It unfortunately wasn't possible to solo Herald before the patch and most likely isn't after 6.0 either. If anything, the stat-squish made it even worse since the dps dropped for all classes, especially 80's was affected. If I recall correctly they nerfed the melee damage Algalon does, so maybe you could give it a try and tank it with your pet. But even then you need to be able to push out a lot of dps to beat the enrage. Let me know if you do succeed though ;)

So I asked Splosion if he had a BiS list dusting around somewhere and luckily he did. The only thing about this build, which he created himself, is that he put dps trinkets for a speed kill we did a few months ago. Of course, it's up to you which trinkets you want to use. Yes, the nerfs have impacted the twink bracket quite a lot, for example, the DPS output from prot paladins has been nerfed(vengeance) quite badly, which require more effort in the fight overall. Your assumptions about the professions are most likely correct. I've notified Splosion about the twinkinfo thing. He's quite busy at the moment but will tend to it whenever he has time again. Most of his chardev is still pretty correct, I think he might be using different trinkets now though. Good luck with the 2-manning and let us know if you do kill it! :)

I'll update the Chardev as best I can (it doesn't recognise the gem changes afaik so the stats will look wrong). Although that is very close to what I'm currently using (Mjolnir isn't so great with the haste buffs, and obviously some enchants have changed). Profs are right though, JWC>BS>else. JWC gives 84 haste or 81 stamina (epic gems are only 24 stam atm), and BS gives 80 haste or 48 stamina. The other professions are semi-ok, would recommend the above for now. DPS is down a bit, but if you have BiS gear + bloodlust drums it's not all bad, just waaaay tighter on the enrage now ;)

Mastertarus Thank you both for replying! This really helps me a lot. Been running ulduar 25man for 2 weeks and getting almost full set of 226/232, no way near BiS tho. Just found out 2 of my guildies want to do this achiv too and they are bringing in a hunter and a feral tank(other pally tank will switch to a disc priest), any thoughts on gearing those three classes(going full stam or agi on bear, what spec is best for herald hunter, reforge and gemming etc.)? Also, which lvl75 talent is better for pally tank? I saw u used different ones on 2-man and 3-man videos. What about switching to stam trinkets for more vengeance(30% maximum health in 10man i guess this is not nearly worth it)? I'll definitely try 2-man later when both pally tanks are in almost if not all BiS gear.

Probably best to have the bear go resto and the other guy come back to paladin. I've done a run in 226 gear as a bear (72% armor, and stacking crit), and I had to have virtually all cds available for tank swaps, whereas paladins need virtually nothing but support healing. I'd guess MM is best for herald, but Survival is likely close. As for talents, eternal flame is silly strong with decent vengeance and haste, just due to the high base healing at 80. Regarding vengeance, I already did try the switch, but those caps were never implemented (as far as I know anyway). Even so, you need enough hp to survive big bang with only SotR (and minimal mastery), since you need them elsewhere.

Lol, check the chat at 7:27 and tell me I'm lying again. This was during Mists of Pandaria when 80's could wear 409 item level gear which made them insanely powerful. Check the armory link again, it's been updated since I last linked it, 6 years ago...

To 2-man it you mean? Yes, we've tried it a few times. The survivability is almost the same as it used to be, only slighty more healing required. The main issue we've had is being able to beat the enrage timer since our DPS, as prot paladins, have dropped quite a bit since 5.2/5.3. I'm currently the bottleneck with not having full-BiS gear. Eventhough my gear is very close to BiS, we still need as much DPS as we can get, to be able to kill him in time. Thanks for the comment. If you meant getting Herald of the Titans in 5.4, then yes. It's still possible as long as you meet the requirements. I was helping with a kill just a few weeks ago! :)

simcity92 As I thought, the main issue is the DPS requirement because Blizzard nerf vengeance. But your post is unclear, did you manage to 2-man this achievement it in 5.4 or not?

Tomatevousnique Sorry that I was unclear on that note. Regarding the 2-man - We still have not killed it. Although, we've only had about five tries at it in 5.4 totally, enough to give us the information and data we need. We're going to wait till I get BiS gear until next time we go and try it again. I'll update if we do manage to kill it this patch, depending on how much time is left until next expansion.

Tomatevousnique With much closer to BiS and more aggressive DPS gearing it's possible. Skirting the survivability requirement much more than this kill though.
