Lockdown 2020 Drive In Cinema Experience - Luna Cinema - London
Переглядів 2,7 тис.4 роки тому
We went for our first day out since February and visited Luna Cinema's Drive in experience at the Printworks in London. To be honest we didn't know what to expect and were a little nervous having been locked in for so long. We needn't have worried though as the experience was superb and really well done. They served food and drinks and we never went anywhere near anybody else which was good. We...
Amazing Footage of Bee's in Slow Motion - (iPhone XS vs iPad 4) (HD)
Переглядів 424 роки тому
This is a short video of Bee's in slow motion in our garden. I decided to use it as an opportunity to compare the slow motion quality of the iPad 4 and iPhone XS. Technically the iPhone is far better with 240 fps but the iPad doesn't do too badly at all, I just had a problem with it focusing on the Bee's themselves. The Bee's filmed here are Bumble Bee's and Honey Bee's.

The Cutest Baby Chimp - Wingham Wildlife Park
Переглядів 4694 роки тому
The most adorable baby chimp trying to get some egg yolk from a boiled egg in Wingham Wildlife Park near Canterbury in Kent. This little Chimp was a surprise to all when born of two Chimps rescued from research laboratories in the USA and brought to the United Kingdom. The females were fitted with the contraceptives but they obviously didn't work!!

THE VATICAN MUSEUMS - COMPREHENSIVE TOUR
My step dad was stationed there, and we moved with him in 1977. 16th field squadron, left in 78, lived in the flats in Lotte . Long time ago.
1994-1996 poachers
I as in 212 Signal Squadron, the German Squadron office lady was < well I didn't do anything.
Osnabruck, what a delightful town, I nan now say it's name properly
She kept telling me how hard working her dad was, and in the medical, profession.
I served in 37 Field Squadron Royal Engineers in Robert’s Barracks November 1964 to November 1968 I mastered the language at night school. That led to wonderful experiences working Damage Control on the many big NATO Exercises that took place. Think of the damage that Tank and Truck drivers cause falling asleep through exhaustion. Regards from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Happily retired Mech./Elect. Engr.
Takes me back....i lived in Belm 1985 to 1991 and Martkauf was our weekly shop and the bit at the side where you bought your beer with a deposit on the crate of Warsteiner (other beers were available 😂)
I lived here in the 1990s and went to Wellington’s first school. I lived on the forth floor in one of these flats.
I arrived there, with Jack Ward, in 1956 as 38 Corps Engineer Regiment was being changed to Higher Establishment because of the Suez Crisis. We never went to Suez but neighbouring 36 Regiment did and they received the GS medal!
It’s very sad to see all these camps empty.
Kleine Moscow ! We lived in number 35 marianstrasse I think it was called, right on the corner opposite the bus stop by the entrance off the main road with criss cross fencing on one side of the back garden. Used to make huge snowmen on the patch of grass opposite. Went to Clive school and then Wellington.
1982,3 RGJ 🙏
My father, who was stationed there at the end of the 1940s after the war often referred to it as the Sekt Kaserne. I remember it, as a young kid in the 1960s, as a busy place.
Looks like SKC has been flattened. I watched many a film in that army cinema.
I served here from 1972 to 1976, first with 43 Field Support Sqn, then 25 Engr HQ Sqn. and finally 12 Field Sqn. (Nova Scotia). As I lived in Germany for I long time after I've witnessed the slow demise as a lot of the camp was pulled down bit by bit. My old 12 Sqn. Block has been empty for years .... only the memories remain.
212 Signal Squadron, the clerk, a German girl made me love her. I wonder what she is doing now?
Great film. Served 1984-87 Hameln and Detmold. Call me cynical, thinks Baor 3 might be opening soon.
Lived in 7 Akazienm strasse
I'm missing JHQ in Rheindahlen, it closed down in 2013. I went back when St. Boniface Anglican Church where I had worshipped was decommissioned in 2013. Pretty sad occasion. JHQ used to be half way deserted years before it actually closed down: you almost expected tumbleweeds to roll down the streets. I'm trying not pass that whole site today when I'm in the vicinity. I think it's currently used by asylum seekers.
I lived at 63/4 Dodeshausweg Dodesheide in 1989 to 1990. We were with 4th Field Regt RA.
My first posting was 32 Engrs In Hohne. I met blokes who'd spent nearly all their time in Germany and I couldnt get my head round it all. Ended up doing 11 years in Germany myself! Loved every minute and get sort of homesick thinking about it.
Was there with Cdn Army, part of BAOR, in 1968.
Was in Hameln for 5 years. Just glad there was no more need for BAOR and leave the German people alone.
dad stationed there 1969-72
Very fond memories indeed, you went past 3 of our old homes all in Sonnenhugel (Kleine Moscow), we lived in Fasanenweg in the early 90s, number 5 Gorlitzer Stasse in the late 90s, then moved across the road opposite to number 1 Allensteiner whilst Gorlitzer Strasse were being renovated, we then moved back into number 5 once completed and lived there until 2008 when the army were pulled from the garrison.
Depot 90?
BFPO 39 for nearly 3 years in the 70,s. Loved it but hated being out on exercise every other month.. welcome change was yours of (NI). The best days of my lifetime. This time 9 years ago I returned to Bielefeld, found it much changed from the way of life I knew, far less German and much more arab. Camp is still there looking more of less as it did but Joe a housing complex
Ah yes I remember being stationed there with the duke of Edinburghs royal regiment... Nice to see the old place... Never a dull moment...
This brought a tear to my eyes, I was there in 1969, then back again in 1971 with the Tank Regiment. I loved the place, first time i have seen it since. what a crying shame, Thank you for the video FEAR NAUGHT
You’re welcome, love to hear you enjoyed it 😊
I was never married but I spent many a night in married quarters keeping lonely wives company while hubby was away on deployment! Great times! 😜
Thank you for uploading
Osnabruck was my home for 12 years - miss that place. I joined the forces when we returned (Royal Navy)
I bought my first very own bed in Belm, before then it was all my parents bed, granny's bed, school bed, Army bed, hotel bed, but never my bed. It was my own bed that I bought. I was so pleased with myself 😄 Belm was very convenient at the time, I don't recall much of the place clearly after forty years and I imagine it has changed a lot over time.
Was it from Nova moebel...that's where we bought our first 3 piece suite from in 1986 😂 we were Stettiner Strasse..
Thanks for this blast from the past. I was there in 1984 as my final posting. 12 Armd Wksp REME. Can't really say I enjoyed it, everything before that was LAD's which were a bit more interesting.
Bittersweet memories, my wonderful new wife and I moved into these in early 1984, she died a few short months later in a road accident. The place is looking worse for wear these days and the camps are all gone. Can't believe it was almost forty years ago, I was 25 then, 64 now.
Wow, bittersweet indeed, sorry for your loss. This was filmed a few years ago and they’re all modernised now and look the best they’ve looked in decades.
@@MilesKentBooks76 Thanks. I'm glad they were renovated rather than demolished. As sad as those memories are, I also spent the happiest days of my life there while we were together. So many of the places I lived are gone or changed beyond recognition. Time can be cruel to my memories.
I lived in gmh georgsmarienhutte . D+D Regiment from 76 to 78 great memories
I first entered these gates,in the snow just before Xmas 1952. Was in RHQ block 20. Been back 7 times over the years and pleased to say Block 20 and others along that side are still there and in use.
What is user-ud1sm6in7e?
I miss my pit.
Brilliant footage, was stationed at roberts barracks in the 80's loved my 6 years in osnabruck, thanks for the memories,
Was in RHQ block 20 at Roberts in the early 1950s. Terrible damage still evident in the City then from 79 allied air raids. Been back 7 times since, and think it is now a lovely.City.
@@roydavidlivermore4664 Me too, love the memories of my time there, went back a few years ago and stayed in hotel for 3 days, brilliant city still, to think you was there 7 years after world war 2 what memories for you also, brilliant,
@@tonybekk2939 When we’re you there Tony ?
@@roydavidlivermore4664 80-86, 7 rha, now 7 para rha in Colchester, 6 years in Germany Roy, I battery bulls troop at Roberts barracks, mate,
@@roydavidlivermore4664 No I wish, 62 now lol, came out in 1989 9yrs service,
I do remember going there, I lived on heideweg 49/16. I go back a couple times a year and a shop in the MK is always a must! love this video
I loved living in kleine moscow, i lived on Kolberger strasse xx
God I miss being a kid in the 90s. Lived in number 7 Görlitzer Street during my early childhood. You go down Allensteiner Street at 2:11, if you had of looked left at 2:30 it would be there. I need to revisit Osnbruck with the family at some point. I spend hourless nights reminiscing of the good old times. I miss it so much, nostalgia is a cruel mistress.
I lived there whilst serving with the 1st Bn. Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders in the 1970's. My address was Schlesische Str. 8. I have wonderful memories of Osnabruck and the hospitality of the German People. A real bonus was to see my top flat on this video.....Thanks!
Kleine Moscow and Marionberg Strasse. I’ve probably spelt both words wrong… I lived at 7 Marrionberg stressed. I loved it there. Best days ever.
Glad looking at these that I was single77-81
4years in Imphal with 5RIDG
It's all changed now.
Thanks for that, I used to live in the block (in1980) that is now the police station, 1.50 mins in, that was the accommodation for the RAOC and REME attached to 25 Engineer Regiment, such a shame all them good postings in Germany have now gone, wouldn't join the Army anymore just to be stuck in the UK.
Any videos of gmh
I wonder is gmh accommodation still up ( georgsmarienhutte )
My husband was stationed there 1976
Was at 12Inf from 65 to 69, consider it best time of my career!
National service catering corp, 108 company rasc Bunde 1957/59 loved it officers mess chef
I was in Mercer Bks 70-73 but had married quarters in Georgemarrianne hutte was in 1QLR.Went on 2 tours of Belfast during that time.
Spent 4 yrs of my life in Mercer Bks (early 80s) absolutely loved it great times. A number of my old colleagues made it their home.
