Honest Review of Kawasaki Mule 4010 EPS
Переглядів 17 тис.2 роки тому
There are a lot of reviews of things on youtube. What a lot of people don't realize is that many of the reviewers are paid or sponsored by the creator of the product. I pride myself on giving you honest reviews of anything I purchase or research. FYI, you may not agree with it, but it's my review not yours! So, if you're in the market, this is the first review, I'm going to do a 6 month review ...
How to Take Two Separate Sheds and Make One Off Grid Cabin
Переглядів 4,6 тис.2 роки тому
I have a dilemma at my house. I needed a pool house and a man cave. Have you guys seen the price of building materials? It's OUTRAGEOUS! Ask any builder or carpenter and the price to do it is ASTRONOMICAL. So, I'm going to take you on a journey, how to utilize the buildings you've got to save money and still have a nice building without having to sacrifice a body part!

How to Camp in the Ford F-150, Hunting Season is Upon Us
Переглядів 802 роки тому
I live an hour and fifteen minutes from where I hunt. Some people like to tent camp, however, when you're out in the field by yourself, in almost complete darkness with the coyotes, foxes, and racoons, I like the most protection I can get. So I've started setting my truck up to be able to hunt, eat, sleep, and hunt some more. Isn't youtube awesome? I'm getting all my ideas on here and it has he...
Fishing and Camping on Crosswinds Campground at Jordan Lake

I keep calling it Crosspointe, but this is Crosswinds on Jordan Lake. It felt good to be back on the water and to camp out. I love the fall weather in NC and I take the time to get out with "Brax-Attax" and the Old man to do some fishing and camping. Have you ever been camping at Crosswinds? Not my favorite place at all, I prefer to go to Morrow Mountain State Park, more room, less people, and ...

Watch This Before You Mount Your Own Outboard, Motor is Too Low
Переглядів 37 тис.2 роки тому
This is the first time I've mounted my own motor and I did it just like the directions said to do it. Took it out and ran it to break it in and experienced some problems. I now know the fix (Jack plate and stabilizer), but I have to admit, this was super frustrating. I'll have to take the cables off the motor (Steering, throttle, and gear), sounds like no big issue, however, I'll have to take t...

Carolina Skiff J14 Restoration, the Conclusion
Переглядів 4,8 тис.2 роки тому
We've come a long ways, this is the end of major renovations. The J14 is a great boat. I've already ran it once in the lake and I've had to make major adjustments...a jack plate, a fin, and had to work on my fish finder. Stay tuned for those, but this is the last of the renovations! Thanks for watching and if you have any questions, feel free to email me at outdoorheretic@gmail.com.
Prepping for Hunting Season, The Work Before Hunt

Every year we have to go out and cut our lanes, trim up paths, parking areas, tell stories, and wait for one of us to do something dumb (on occasion, it's me). One of the things I enjoy most is just hanging around with my wife's brothers and seeing them. As a true southerner, we pride ourselves on family and tradition, however, life has changed over the years and we don't see family as much as ...

Look it up on Amazon and you'll find Boat bench seats in the neighborhood of $5-600. I did a little renovation with a simple cooler that looks great on the boat, doesn't have a back, but not sure it needs one. If you're looking to get waterproof storage, a battery compartment, or whatever else and want a cooler as a compartment, see what I did to offset the cost.

I was having the same problem yesterday with a 2stroke 8hp, so I added a one inch chunk of rubber flooring the same width as the transom and it completely solved the water coming over the stern. According to the Suzuki manual the transom was already at the specified height of 15", but it definitely wasn't working regardless of trim.

17” transom needs a short shaft. For some reason short shaft ‘supposedly’ is 15” but they truly measure 17”. I always had to use a 2” spacer on top of my transom for best performance. I work on small short shaft outboards so when I rebuilt my transom, I made it 17” deep and now it’s perfect for short shaft motors.. Hope this helps somebody some day.

Good video. I'd would have added is a piece of 1/2" x 4" aluminum strip to run acrost your back transom so the motor mounts have a solid wider surface to grab onto. This would add a lot of stability to your transom. I would also add a 1/4" thick piece of vibration damping pad on the other side of the transome where the touches the boat.

Thanks for the review ! Weird thing is that I have mobility issues as well ! Been paralyzed from the waist down since birth. I've had a john deere gator TX, and a Honda pioneer 1000. One oddball question is , how is the seat height ? I tend to venture away from my vehicle at times , and since I can't walk , I'll be pulling myself up from the ground. I was going to buy another gator , but saw these. I used to work at a Kawi dealership , and only seen the Mules come in for service. Oil changes, and an air filter swap , and they went out the door . Great reliability and durability.
