Simple dog or cat ramp DIY
Переглядів 3,5 тис.4 роки тому
This is an even easier way to build a ramp for a dog, cat, or other small animal using a 2x6, or 2x8, or 2x10 depending on the width you're looking for. I happened to have a 2x6 so I went with that. You will need a couple of screws, remnant carpet, and a staple gun.. Oh, and a saw to cut the wood. Enjoy
How to build a Dog Ramp Easy DIY
Переглядів 8 тис.4 роки тому
Our 1st attempt at building a dog ramp for a small chihuahua. I just wished we would have chosen a long ramp length. the entire thing is from a 2x4, a piece of leftover Luan from a closet renovation, screws, left over commercial remnant carpet, and you will need a staple gun. We have another video for an even easier dog ramp coming soon.

      @lisalovegirl 7 місяців тому

      @@marrmus1c I believe it will fit most mic stands. That one I have is just an old one and I can’t remember where I got it because I’ve collected mic stands for 20 years but you can get one at any music store, possibly Facebook marketplace, or a thrift store that has music equipment. Or even a pawnshop might have them. They’re easy to find, just take the laptop mount with you to make sure it fits but you shouldn’t have any issues.

    Apparently, the two adhesive grip strips can be placed near the ventilation slots for increased laptop gripping.

    I'm glad you didn't remove the video like you were thinking. LOL. I wouldn't have thought of using carpet. I was thinking small slats across, but wasn't sold on the idea. Just didn't think of anything else. My old cat has issues with the steep stairs in my ancient home. He often yells and grumbles at me the entire way up. 😂😂😂 I am going to try a ramp going up on one side of the stairs. I *think* he would use it.... LOL

    Porch looks great. I wish the vid had more info about how to prep the area and build the forms.

    • @lisalovegirl
      @lisalovegirl 3 роки тому

      There wasn’t much prep basically around two minutes and 30 seconds you’ll see we just busted the front porch but left a lot of the debris there to fill in space so you don’t have to use as much concrete. We just removed the sidewalk for the most part if that helps. We just took some boards and nailed them together to create the form. I think somewhere on the video shows a quick view of what they look like.

      I built one for my cat. 40" inches off the ground. I thought it looked cool. It was for the deck and my cat is getting older so I thought it was a great idea. watched the cat on video look and smell it a few times and chose to jump. I had good intentions and cats will be cats. She walks around the house to the front door to get back in the house.
