Let‘s hope this pseudo scientific therapists included their weird human killing conversation therapies and organizations will be banned by more and more countries. Being born homosexual and living out the sexuality that goes with it is surely just normal and what have to be done.
Thanks for commenting! I hope you watched the video. To be clear, I have not 100% agreed with anyone I have ever spoken with, but, in this episode Andrew simply shared his experience and proposes healthy relationships as a means to overcome unwanted behaviors. His ministry works with those who seek their help using Christian principles. Based on your comment, it seems that you have deep disagreements with these principles, and I respect that. But, it seems a bit draconian to propose that a religious organization that only provides services to those who seek them out should be banned.
This religious organizations are trying to persuade people being gay and living it out is not right. It is often said that practicing homosexuality is a sin. How illogical is this stupid claim? God is defined as good and just so as a matter of fact he cannot be a discriminating God.
Are you related to the l Linn Brothers who wrote Healing Life's Hurts.
I am not. I can ask Dr. Breuninger if he has any connection. It looks like a good book, a classic! Thanks for sharing! I'm going to get a copy. What were some of the key take aways you got from the book, and how did they connect to our conversation?
Some parents can’t even take their child calling them by their first name! Much less any criticism.
It can be a challenge! My kids are still little, but I can imagine how hard criticism could be to receive from them. It will be an opportunity to grow in humility :)
This guy is absolutely amazing. He has deeply affected my head and heart that were so wounded.
Agreed! Matthew is a true blessing. If you haven't caught his talk at FOCUS's SEEK Conference this year, I highly recommend it.
I just discovered Dr matthew a few days ago and I find myself healing after struggling for years . What a beautiful man.
Agreed! Thanks for watching!
Same for me!
Excellent interview - thank you!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! New episodes should be coming soon (we have three recorded and post production is in works)
Awesome thank you. ❤
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
Excellent conversation. Helpful information. Hopeful for healing.

Compare Aquinas with Bonaventure. Self-knowledge avails us nothing. But it’s a good start.
Say more about this! Do you have a good source to recommend on this point? Thanks for watching and for a thoughtful comment!
Thank you 🙏🏻 ! Listening now…. 😊
Thanks for listening! I would love to know what you think!
this is such an enlightening conversation. I feel blessed I found this podcast. Thanks to you both for sharing.
I'm glad you found it :) Thank you for you kind words and for watching!
I cannot stand how these trad converts speak. Catholicism is not a form of Christianity, it's the one true church.
I'm catholic and vegan. I have a beautiful vision of all catholics living a vegan lifestyle. It's got to happen.
"At the resurrection none will marry nor be given in marriage they will be like the angels in heaven." Jesus Matthew 22:30 "Some are born eunuchs for the sake of the Kingdom.... the one who can accept this should."

Great episode 👍🏻
Thanks! Dr. Vost was an amazing man and a blessing.
Andrew!! Love you, brother 😊
Hey Rich! Great to have you here! Thanks for watching and commenting!

Dude you met John Constantine.😅
Lol, not quite :) It was Msgr. John Esseff. This was part of a private conversation, but here is an article about the event www.catholicherald.com/article/local/retired-exorcist-reminds-students-of-the-power-of-jesus-within-them/
I agree with Andrew that there are no heterosexuals, homosexuals, bisexuals, transexuals...there are just men and women, with disordered desires to one degree or another. Now I was hoping that with time certain desires would no longer be alluring, but I think he's right there too, it's a daily denial of the self...
Thanks for watching and commenting!
I was meant to listen to this at exactly this moment in time. These are great reflections, thank you!
Thanks! I'm glad it was helpful!
As a life-long singer and music lover, as well as a follower of God, I love this explanation! Thank you!!
I'm glad it resonated! Thanks!
Agnostic isn't a useful term because literally everyone is agnostic because that means you don't know that a god exists which is everyone because it's not possible to know because god is unfalsifiable
Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching! I think you are right if you start with doubt and try to either prove or falsify the claim. I am not sure if this is the case when you start with trust. My encounter felt very personal. More like meeting someone very compelling and less like finding and object or figuring something out. I will have to ponder this for a while.
@@physicallyspiritual I was just saying that it's physically impossible to know whether a god exists, making everyone agnostic, making the term basically useless.
Thanks, Andrew, for letting us in on these amazing conversations.
Thanks for listening! If there is ever a topic you want to hear more about or a guest you think would be good for the show, let me know.
I believe these lovely Sisters went through school together and are old friends. They are just wonderful.
They certainly are wonderful! Thanks for watching and commenting!
So essentially, you're being woke to prevent yourself from being woke. Interesting tactic....
Thanks for the comment! The name Awaken Catholic refers to the scripture “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.” Eph 5: 14
The Sumerian tablets pre-date the bible by thousands of years. The modern bible is just a re-telling of the stories in those tablets. They speak of the Lords of Anu, who came here with a slave race called the Igigi. The Igigi rebelled, because they were sick of being slaves. Then the Lords of Anu took the indigenous humanoids who were already here on earth, infused them with Anunnaki DNA and after much trial and error, created the end product called the Adamu, the first modern human. This took place in an open-air laboratory called the E-den. Two Anunnaki brothers, Lord Enlil and Lord Enki, had different ideas about what should be done with the new Homo Sapiens. Enlil wanted them to serve as slaves. Enki wanted to set them free, give them knowledge, and release them from the E-den. Today, Enki is portrayed as Satan, who gave them "forbidden" knowledge, while the evil one was Really Enlil, who wanted to be worshipped as a God, even though he was a flesh and blood being. The bible we know today has serious omissions, such as the Book of Enoch, The Gospel of Thomas, and other books that tell the whole story. The Catholic Church burned people to death by the thousands, pulled their limbs from their sockets on the rack while applying fire to their armpits at the same time. The Catholic Church fomented wars, collected taxes, molested children.
Hi Bruce, thanks for being here and for your comment! I have some good information and resources to address these points. I want to make sure I am providing a complete response, and I will add a comment to add to this conversation.

😑 'Promo sm'
Yeah, I think someone bumped the video with something like Promosm. I was surprised when I saw the video performance and the ratio of likes to views. When I dug into the analytics there was a massive spike all at once from geographic locations that don't typically watch videos on the channel...
Thank you!! This makes me feel so hopeful 🙏
Thanks for watching @almahill481! It warms my heart to hear this.
Yeah 53:19 hits the nail on the head. It seems just recently self awareness, mindfulness, childhood trauma, being present were none existent to me. I'm 60 years old. Have been a baptised Catholic and been a devout Catholic since 1988. Never have I been aware of these terms. And terms like Spiritual bypass seems so me. My marriage was in shambles even if I heard daily mass, monthly confessions, participated as a Eucharistic Lay Minister, it all came to naught. Until mindfulness came in. Now when arguments happen. I feel, I recognize I investigate and I nurture. No blaming, no overthinking just love. Now, I try to integrate spirituality with psychology but I feel more weight in healing my psyche rather than improving my relationship with God. I need more of Catholic Psychologists like Dr. B and programs like this to keep me grounded and balanced.
Thanks for sharing! Its encouraging to hear your witness of healing and growth.
As a Catholic, I am excited to finally find someone who is talking about the benefits of somatic experiencing from a Catholic view, we need more of this in our Church. I am also very passionate about the topic of Somatic Therapy and Somatic Experiencing, its very aligned with JP II's Theology of the Body message, we need more research on this topic from a Catholic lens view. Excited to find your UA-cam Channel. Love the topics you discuss and your passion for JP II's message.
Thanks! I agree that it is very aligned with TOB and the whole Catholic Tradition. I would love to discuss this further. I think we connected on LinkedIN. I'll Message you there.
I’ve recently discovered your channel and I look forward to playing catch-up and watching all of the videos. I know I’ll be coming to the comment section to ask many questions. My question for now is, have you heard of WCCM, the World Community for Christian Mediation? The late Benedictine monk John Main or current director of the WCCM Laurence Freeman? If so, what are your thoughts regarding this form of mediation? Thank you and God bless.
Hi, thanks for watching! I address this question more directly in season 2 of the podcast which was posted on the Awaken Catholic Channel. This episode specifically - ua-cam.com/video/_WfBI0v2xF4/v-deo.html . Based on my research, Fr. John Main was proposing an integration of Transcendental Meditation with Catholic Prayer (similar to Centering Prayer). Transcendental Meditation is not prayer, and I think it should be avoided. It produces predictable psychic phenomena that can be confused with authentic mystical experiences. In general, these approaches focus too much on technique, and insufficiently recognize that sin is the primary thing separating us from God. Authentic Christian prayer is a personal encounter with God in the context of an ongoing relationship of love with God.
Thank you kindly. I appreciate your reply. God bless you.
I have read almost every word of these two doctors and what a gift they and their works have been!!
They are a real blessing to the church and the world! I have only had the ability to read four of their works and some secondary material (lectures, articles, etc.). I would be grateful for any constructive feedback on my understanding and presentation. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Lose the glasses they are horrible. Wow
Science is a systematic enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe. Science may be as old as the human species, and some of the earliest archeological evidence for scientific reasoning is tens of thousands of years old. The earliest written records in the history of science come from Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia in around 3000 to 1200 BCE. Their contributions to mathematics, astronomy, and medicine entered and shaped Greek natural philosophy of classical antiquity, whereby formal attempts were made to provide explanations of events in the physical world based on natural causes. After the fall of the Western Roman Empire, knowledge of Greek conceptions of the world deteriorated in Western Europe during the early centuries (400 to 1000 CE) of the Middle Ages, but was preserved in the Muslim world during the Islamic Golden Age. The recovery and assimilation of Greek works and Islamic inquiries into Western Europe from the 10th to 13th century revived "natural philosophy", which was later transformed by the Scientific Revolution that began in the 16th century, as new ideas and discoveries departed from previous Greek conceptions and traditions. The scientific method soon played a greater role in knowledge creation and it was not until the 19th century that many of the institutional and professional features of science began to take shape; along with the changing of "natural philosophy" to "natural science". Modern science is typically divided into three major branches: natural sciences (e.g., biology, chemistry, and physics), which study the physical world; the social sciences (e.g., economics, psychology, and sociology), which study individuals and societies; and the formal sciences (e.g., logic, mathematics, and theoretical computer science), which study formal systems, governed by axioms and rules. There is disagreement concerning whether the formal sciences are science disciplines, because they do not rely on empirical evidence. Applied sciences are disciplines that use scientific knowledge for practical purposes, such as in engineering and medicine. New knowledge in science is advanced by research from scientists who are motivated by curiosity about the world and a desire to solve problems. Contemporary scientific research is highly collaborative and is usually done by teams in academic and research institutions, government agencies, and companies. The practical impact of their work has led to the emergence of science policies that seek to influence the scientific enterprise by prioritizing the ethical and moral development of commercial products, armaments, health care, public infrastructure, and environmental protection.
Thanks for the comment! This is a great summary and general introduction to science!
Always blessed by your wisdom sir!
WHOA!! I had no idea that my one question would break off into an epic 30 minute episode! This was soooo helpful! Thank you!!! <3
useful take carre. Physically! ;)
Thanks for the gratitude reminders and Happy Thanksgiving!
Great tips!
Beautiful story and what a beautiful trust in God to take the leap to create this business when the Catholic hospitals wouldn't support it. I wish we could have the USCCB pressure these institutions to practice faithful Catholic Social Teaching. So sad. Thank you for all your work!
