We install Oil Pump Gears in a new Dark Horse Mustang in preparation for the Whipple. After the Whipple install we dyno a STOCK PULLEY and 91 OCTANE in a 10r80. These are realistic numbers using the stock Whipple cal. This is 35 ish more HP than previous Gen. Once custom tuning is available we plan to add E85 fuel and a pulley along with a full exhaust. And Ford is willing to warranty these knowing they still have cast OPGs in them? Maybe a bunch of people destroying their engines due to OPG failure will finally make Ford change it up.
Being honest, people breaking them are doing so due to having a 2 step or @ 900 whp. So they are willing to warranty it due to the amount of people who have not broken them.
@@lastoutlaw_2129 I thought it wasn't the really the power that was the issue, but it was more bouncing off the rev limiter, which with a generic whipple tune it will prevent automatics from doing this, but still could be a major issue for the manuals.
@jeoffbenzos4959 it is that too. However I've seen alot of them hold up great without issues. But if you going to beat on the car and the limiter. You will need to change it. But the stock one can hold power and be abused. That's why they warranty them even with a supercharger
They won't cover it anyways so it really don't matter the warranty thing is a bunch of nonsense. Soon as they see remotely that you were racing it or ripping on it on the street when it let go (you will be) they will deny the warranty.

So belt is not on the mustangs? I thought it was on all gen 4 coyotes, but I haven’t seen any good information on it
@@rynev3392 nahh only on the f150s 21 and up , the 18-20 f150 has normal oil pump gears

Great video!!! I watched you discuss the Boundry OPGs but did you also replace the crank sprocket??? I saw that you showed how thin the medal was at the key location. I have a Dark Horse coming and I plan to get the Stage II Gen 6 3.0 Whipple SC. I couldn’t discern if you were installing Stage I or Stage II Whipple SC. Isn’t it important to install a fuel system & boost pump based on the power demand???? Thanks for sharing the install. Cheers‼️👍👊💪🇺🇸
Yes. We did the Timing Gear and OPG. Stage 2 whipple kit with no BAP needed just yet at this power level.

It’s the same you’ll just have to get a fuel system & Lund tune cuz dealership won’t warranty that

@@RadDadisRadboth issues I’ve had with my FP 705 the dealership I took mine to covered it under warranty. So don’t speak for every dealership but/c out of the 4 Ford dealers where I live 2 of them will cover any failure or issue my truck has for the standard 36k bumper to bumper and 60k powertrain.
@@Johnathon_Jackson BS, you void out your Ford factory bumper to bumper and powertrain when you get it. It’s in the paperwork so don’t spread lies. My truck grenaded its engine at 5,403. The dealership fixed it but they showed me that the whipple warranty only covers $7,500 for the engine, $1000 for the rear end, $2,500 for the transmission and $1,500 for the transfer case and front axle if you have 4WD. The fact you called it a FP705 kit means you don’t have the FP700 kit. You have some knock off kit.

I totally loose interest every time I hear built trans, built engine, e85, and 109. Is that weird?
Only because u don't understand how easy they are to obtain. My gt500 has a rpg and twins needs a new trans now but I'm just waiting to be seen not keen on my 100k mustang sitting at someone's garage.

Yes it’s worth using that manifold. Even a FBO NA engine picks up power just with a manifold swap. Only CJ manifolds make more. CJ manifold only makes more power at the top and loses power through the bottom and midrange.
