Congrats on the Payton’s! The one in the center has better eye appeal due to the coloring. Unfortunately never opened 84 Topps Football. Closest O had to the 2 Payton’s was getting two pharmacy boxes and getting a 84 Walter n each.

1980 football, NICE! Love the true Vintage Those packs were like my Walmart career though, full of people I don’t know and I didn’t like many of them. 😂 And yes, I did work at Walmart for a year or so out of school 😂. Have a great day my friend 👍💪👊

1983 is my birth year 👍 I remember my grandpa would collect only rookies from each set, not picking up the known stars like Nolan Ryan. When I asked him why he did that he asked me: "in every set who are the most expensive cards?" "The rookies usually are especially the hall of Fame ones" I said back and he says "exactly by getting only rookies I now have the most valuable cards in the set. And since they are new they are cheap in the rookie year too." Words to live by. Unfortunately when my grandpa died in 2004 the other kids raided his rookies he had everyone including the famous Topps mantle rookie
