    I was really struggling with page 2, beginning "Με ακούς" being confused by the translation You listen to me. If instead we think You hear me, there's no preposition needed in English as there is none needed in Greek. Likewise You await me (clunky in modern English) rather that You wait FOR me.

    Wow! If it's not negative😮. Tricky. Basically anything/nothing, anyone/nobody etc are decided by negation. So presumably, the one word versions are just decided on context. Anybody? Nobody?

    This is the first of these videos that I have found to be of no use because I am a kinesthetic learner and not only can I not memorise lists, I cannot bring to mind verbs I already know with the ending shown in isolation. Previously, you have shown examples in sentence (context) examples, which I can understand.

      Thank you for your feedback. Greek past tense can be tricky with all its different endings and spelling details, and it can get all over the place. The video is short on purpose to serve as a reference point, as a shortlist. There are no examples or extra details because this is meant to be a quick review method. Recently I started making slightly longer videos and the tenses are high on my to-do list, so I will consider making a more detailed "sequel" for the Past Tense.

    Wow! This was tricky. Τη γάτα τρώει το ψάρι = "The fish eats the cat," or as we would more likely say using passive, "The cat is eaten by the fish." Η γάτα τρώει το ψάρι = The cat eats the fish Το ψάρι τρώει τη γάτα = The fish eats the cat. I hope🤞

    I'm not stuck, I'm just a little bit lazy to study on a regular basis xD By the way, can you please recommend any books on developing reading skills? I'm kinda struggling with producing comprehensive sentences when in comes to reading, since I'm not sure how to read sentences longer than a simple phrase correctly.

    • @educativecapstone
      @educativecapstone Рік тому

      By books, do you mean easy readers? I am not using any, so I can't recommend any, but I've heard of deltos.gr/en/books/greek-easy-readers/ and lots of students seem to like them. I haven't used them, so I don't know. There are a lot of ways to improve reading. You could start with the following: read quickly, to get the meaning, then highlight the main components (verb, subject, what is the topic) and read again. The idea is to break long sentences in shorter sentences, make sense of them and then read the whole thing again.

    too much info for the passive voice -μαι... first teach the simple -/ω and -ομαι and the -εμαι ωμαι etc after you teach the -άω,έω (ώ) forms <3 and remember that greek is not like english. Don't pay that much attention to the tenses but the aspect of the verbs (finite and non-finite aspects).

    • @educativecapstone
      @educativecapstone Рік тому

      Details are necessary because learners use the verbs randomly, in the order they need them for communication. They should be able to conjugate correctly from the begining. Then they can learn the aspects.
