In this webinar, Dr. Jo Lynne Rokita delves into the innovative work behind the Open Pediatric Brain Tumor Atlas (OpenPBTA) and its expansion into the Open Pediatric Cancer (OpenPedCan) project. These initiatives offer a harmonized, open-source multi-omic dataset from approximately 6,000 pediatric cancer patients, encompassing over 100 histologies and 7,000 tumor events. Dr. Jo Lynne Rokita gives the history of the development of these projects, which include over 50 ready-to-use, reproducible analysis modules and more than 100 somatic outputs, designed to accelerate discovery, validation, and clinical translation in pediatric cancer research. Additionally, Dr. Rokita presents in-preparation results from this work, demonstrating evidence that CLK1 is a candidate oncogenic dependency in pediatric cancer.
