Confirmed last night on KDKA, also if the train gets removed we might be able to see a new Vekoma family coaster there because they said they were adding rides that both adults and children would enjoy to the area

It wouldn’t be the same if they brought back the old railroad. It wouldn’t just feel right

I’m only sad about the pieces of Log Jammer and Steel Phantom from the inside of that one ride going away. Thank god that the train will become normal again (presumably). They should put in a Vekoma Family Boomerang…or perhaps a new Turnpike? I would also love to see a new actually THRILLING drop tower.

Kennywood just announced the closure of Thomas Town.

That was the biggest waste of space in that park

That's a real crappy time to be removing it because this is Thomas's 80th anniversary soooo and also how long will it stay like this year and gone next or are they doing as we speak.

I hope they replace it with a Pittsburgh gland

They should re-name it "New Skenes-land"

Now, remove the Thomastown building that the erected that ruined the area of the train station and Auto race !

NOW, LOWER YOUR PRICES and run the rides at the speeds they are supposed to run, unlike the Turtle, Kangaroo and Auto Race rides thay have slowed down !!

WTAE is reporting that it’s gone and will be replaced with a “thematic area” with five rides for kids and adults.

😪😪😭😭😭 As a Thomas fan this was the first time I've ever seen Thomas in person which was 2017 holiday lights and the first time i was at kennywood. So I will make a priority to go here before it's gone because I love Thomas town and Thomas and Friends this would also God for bid be the shortest time of a Thomas parks existence from 2017-2024. so I hope but if it does that won't really have a reason to go to kennywood anymore.

When I worked in kiddie land, a lot of kids never even saw the show and were confused about the theme. Wouldn't doubt if that is one of many reasons for rethemeing.

Well probably for the best, you gotta have the kiddie rides for the younger crowd. Garfield left, now Thomas. I remember Cedar Point at one time had licenses for Snoopy, I think Knotts Berry Farms has Snoopy now. I'm thinking a new theme with their own sidekicks like Kenny, etc.

Yeah let’s goooo! I always kind of dislike that land as well. I always wanted to see something else there like a drop tower and some sort of good flat/thrill ride with the train instead of that stupid land.

8:03 actually those are scrap pieces from the orginal steel phantom, which became phantoms revenge after it was remodeled and they removed the loops. It matters because the orginal steel phantom deserves it's own place aside from anything they have now, it briefly held the title for fastest coaster in the world. Lol everyone said u went over 100mph but I think it was officially set at 81 mph, which is funny cuz it's renovated sibling goes 85mph and is not even close to setting any records
