In 2009, Brit Nathan Millward was enjoying life working in a cafe in Sydney, but the good times were cut short after his Visa extension was denied and he was given 3 days to pack up his life in Australia and exit the country. Rather than booking a flight back to the UK, he made the bold decision to hit the road and ride home. He packed his world belongings into a box, strapped it to the back of...

I am hopefully coming into motorbiking with a cycling influence. My best trips have been where an open mind is my biggest item to carry.
As a long hail rider myself You have accomplished one of the most hardest rides Well done
I wish I were young free and with a few quid spare. What a great adventure that must have been!.
Love small bikes, 70 to 125 cc is the best and 100 kg in weight, not heavy you can control it with your body weight. You can enjoy your travel better.
i wish to one day travel around the world, on the back of a harley, living cheap and camping out... one day
If I was to do what you did, ill do it 125 motorcycles 21 wheel on the front air cool engine preferably , and a wind screen, specially for the flying insects.
Inspiring - thank you. 🙏
I come back and watch this video at least once a year. I cant wait to have adventures like this of my own. Youre a deadset legend mate.
Cheers Ryan. Appreciate that mate. Ride safe.
Run forest run

Kindling the hope and love for the life in and around you.A beautiful journey within and without ❤
Very pleased to have met Nathan last year. A nice, quiet, unassuming bloke who's done some really quite amazing things.
Just watched this always been a huge fan of @nathanthepostman and what an inspirational clip I’ve faced really similar challenges with my mental health myself and every day is a day forward a new way to explore an experience the world thanks for sharing :) really inspirational. Motorcycles in a similar way have been truly transformative in my life Truly beautiful story telling
Still watching this 8 years on
Thanks for sharing, this is very inspiring . Thanks again.
wondeful -great story..
4:14 That is Tanglang-la 5,300m. in North India.
You did everything wrong, no planning, no mechanical knowledge, not enough money and no visa's, yet you managed to pull it off, all I can say is very well done, you are an inspiration to others.
When I feel down I come back to this video. One of my favourites on UA-cam. And I watch lots of videos
Beautiful piece of film making, thank you.
Thank you!
I understand fully, working hard, and keeping everything I've made. buy, when I only need to. go without, doesn't bother me. but, now, 2/3rd's of my life is over, I want to go out and play now. no wife, kids, pets or goldfish, getting ready to ride.
The only thing that boggles my mind is the 2K you started your trip with. Did you do some occasional job during this time or did someone send you money?
Excellent film, beautifully shot, told and edited. Have you entered it into any short film competitions? I think you should!
Thanks for the comment, it has been in a couple of festis over the years but should enter to more.
He has the sweetest smile i've ever seen
They are still deleting my comments. I h.a.t.e. this. 😠😠
Made me cry. Great inspiring video.
An absolute legend ❤
Really happy:)))
Best things come from Brum. Subbed)
So, where are you now, in your life young man?
www.youtube.com/@nathanthepostman
its just not a pizzabike its a honda 90 or a 100cc . indestructable engine.
Sydney to London ! Wow
Your honesty is your strength keep on doing this & never forget we are all more alike than you would think. 🙏👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Amazing video! I just love watching adventurers like these guys. While I like the idea of doing an adventure like this, in truth I couldn’t do it. l’m too soft I like hotels with posh restaurants. But I’m jealous as hell of every adventurer doing what I don’t do.
bless you mate hope you continue to seek fulfillment in your life :) done more than most takes determination motivation and heart.
Loved this video
I stumbled across your video and it touched me. You mad bastard 😂. Greetings from Ireland 👍 hope you are doing good 👍
What a journey, what a story. Awesome.
This was a great watch :)
@3:50 back in 2013 I moved to San Francisco. I hadn’t been employed in nearly two years because I was traveling around the world. In my interview everyone were more fascinated about the stories I was telling than what I interviews for. I could tell when I spoke these people that went down the normal path of life wondered “what if I…”. I got the job and was there for three years before heading back to Europe.
The stated dates are all wrong - how could a documentary maker much such a colossal blunder? He left from Sydney in early January 2009 (not August) on a Honda CT110 and arrived home in England in September 2009, as stated on page 1 of his 2011 book. Going Postal: The Ups & Downs of Travelling The World On A Postie Bike. They're indeed referred to as a Postie Bike in Oz & New Zealand - its the UK that has Postmen and Pizza Bikes. The book title contains a huge hint as to the proper terminology!
glad to see you faced your demons, and realise that you , no matter what you have, is a precious thing, and you dont need everything and everybody to boost you ego. Just be you
Mate if you are still out there, on the net I mean..take it from me who has been riding motorbikes for 55yrs, and viewing endless adventure bike treks around parts of the world. YOU ARE THE KING OK....icthy boots, the aussie Allan, her of her bike, none of them did it on a postie bike like you mate...even the Himalayas on a 110cc...you are my idol, and I am 70yrs old and going to follow in your footsteps, maybe on a 125 cc honda
Thanks
One day Im gonna go travel around the world with my wife on a motorcycle, hopefully my dream will come true.
I think I would prefer to go from england to Australia even if it is full of Australians !!🚾🌎🏕🌻🐸⚠️🦧🌵☢⚠️🚸❓🟣🟢🏴☠️🇦🇺🔥🛵🦊🐨🐦🦘🌲
