Government doing anything about vandalism would be a stretch. They're too busy attacking Afrikaans in schools or blowing money on nonsense projects. This was Western Cape, just drive up a bit into the North into Northern Cape and you'll see what's left of the old towns. Gone nearly dismantled and the poor lining the streets asking for handouts and jobs. A mix of the coloureds who live there and the black people the ANC dumped there. All these places will fade away. Unless we look after them. Some are already gone.

Hand paintings are very common in cave paintings. There's some paintings of the neolithic age were if you looked closely you could tell some of the people who made them were missing fingers. Even what appears to be very early renditions of modern symbols like the heart shape which was used as a hunting teaching tool of some sort. Many cave paintings would indeed be made from people through different time periods some as extreme as thousands upon thousands of years apart, and potentially by different human sub-species like neanderthals. Cave paintings are really fascinating especially if they show a window into an environment that no longer exists like the Sahara cave paintings that were made back when it was much greener.

Your tectonics dont look good. You have your continents be on several plates at once. Sure there will me some water and ocean on a continental plate and there can be a plate boundary within a continent, but usually a bulk of a single continent will be conatint in its respective continental plate...

You've earned yourself a subscriber! Fellow fantasy/DND enthusiast here, I just want to say that this is an extremely useful reference for aspiring fantasy cartographers and artists alike! I also like how you go into a lot of research and condensed the points down into an extremely useful reference! 0:14 - Only thing is while humility is good, you're name is absolutely important! (Figuratively speaking I don't want/need to know ur IRL name) I think artists in general have a unique voice that deserves to be heard and yours is no exception! Also I was kind of bummed in the dark alley that there wasn't a gnome offering me feywild mushrooms.

Ok i just have to ask Does tala age normally and when she dies she just gets reincarnated with the same memories and name? Or does her physical aging just literally pause at some point, in that case i think people would catch on.

I really love your videos, they are very useful and interesting, i am a dungeon master basically making the whole world for fun and also studying sound engineering so i tend to pay close attention to the sound, i don't know if is intentional but there is a lot of Audio sibilance or too much of S sound, one cheap solution could be trying to put the mic at an angle in a way that is not directly in front of the mouth. That said i really enjoy your videos and i think this channel deserves more attention 💚.

So my degree is in anthropology and the fun thing here is your nationality can be very divorced from your culture! This isn't new. For example, for a long time, the modern-day Czech Republic was a territory in the Austro-Hungarian empire. They were subjects of the empire but didn't speak German or Hungarian, the two official languages had different traditions, and at times had different religious practices as well. Granted the Austro-Hungarian Empire was never the best unified state on a cultural level but that led to the Czechs considering themselves a distinct and separate people instead of just imperial subjects and wanting their own state that would look out for their collective interests.

"I'm not saying I dislike them I'm just saying they're inherently patriarchal, like animals, and at the same time unnatural". Historically women of power have had many consorts, although often more erased by history. Catherine, Isabella, Elizabeth, Cleopatra. Plenty of cultures, especially matriarchal ones, had women with multiple husbands or consorts in them: Tibet, India, China, and many more in Africa and Asia. You sure use "all" and "every" when you're trying to make a point in your favor, when it is blatantly untrue. Humans aren't made to love more than one person? Do you stop loving your parents when you are in a relationship? Do you stop loving your spouse when you have a child? Do parents with one child love them more than parents with many children love their children? It's simply not true. Most of the animal kingdom is polygamous. It's not a unique and cool thing for chimps. In fact, it's more unique when animals are monogamous, like some birds. These generalizations about how human relationships are "supposed" to work stem from colonial propaganda and don't serve the purposes of either the empire or humanity at large.

I feel like it would make the most sense if it was a mix of the different ideas from the different schools, probably likely depending on where the people that made them likely are, geographically speaking. Probably also depending on some societal things in there depending on the group size.

although im not really a worldbuilder, i usually take my inspirations from anatolia. you got cold mountains, dry cold mountains, mountainous area with insane amounts of trees, grasslands, types of steppes, mediterrian places and a few more different types of places. it usually works out well for any games i host due to the simple reason there is a lot of difference between one place and another, with resources/water sources distributed accordingly.

Girl i just realized if you make every comic span about 50 years you have to write 1,000 comics. Is you make them span 100 years (that’s a lot of societal changes in one book) you have to write 500… good luck and Godspeed 🫡 I have a slightly similar project and personally I will make them use magic to develop society quicker
