I noticed on the PADI website that there is likely sightings of great whites in the Great Barrier Reef, how likely is it to see one in the Norman, Saxon, Hastings region?
Amazing🤩🤩
Yes it is really beautiful diving from Port Douglas.
What a day 😀
Hey buddy yes that was a magical day on the Agincourt reefs! Fantastic!
Awesome video! 🔥 Just wondered when the whale season till in Cairns is and how can you make it happen to see sharks?
Hello and thanks for asking yes! Yes please note the Minke Whales are here now and start to leave around the middle of September. See here - cairnsdiveadventures.com.au/liveaboard-diving-cairns/minke-whale-trips/ also regarding sharks you can see white tip and black tip reef sharks at most of the reefs from Cairns, you generally see bigger ones on the night dives. Stunning
Very helpful thank you. We have a diver, non swimmer and snorkeler. So the it’s good to know we have options
Yes, please note if you have a diver, a non-swimmer, and a snorkeler you could look at an outer reef platform as these provide semi-submarines, glass bottom boats, underwater observatories and you can snorkel and dive. See here for more info - cairnsdiveadventures.com.au/tour/sunlover-cruises/
Yes I am a Certified diver. Was on a rescue dive team on Fire Dept. Can't Swim. Not afraid of the water. I used a wet suit which weights are required. If I would have had trouble drop the weights and would go to top.
great work
Thank you :)

Best month to see turtles Cairns / Port Douglas?
Hello Mark, great question! Yes please note you can actually see turtles all year round from both Cairns and Port Douglas. The best advice we give people is you need to spend time out on the reef. If you can spend 2 or 3 days out on the reef like a liveaboard, your chances of seeing turtles and much higher. They do live amongst the reefs, they feed and breed in the area so try to spend as much time as you can on the reefs and you will generally see turtles swimming and feeding in their natural habitat. You just have to be lucky in the right spot at the right time.
Hi, can you please let me know is August or July good months to dive in Great Barrier Reef?
Hello yes please not JUNE / JULY / AUGUST are some of the best times of the year to dive in Cairns. These months are classed as our winter months so blue skies and sunshine, generally no rain with beautiful underwater visibility of around 18 meters. The water temperature is around 24 degrees and we can get a little wind of 15 / 18 knots South Easterly Winds. Please see our guide for all the different dive seasons in Cairns here - cairnsdiveadventures.com.au/diving-tours-cairns/dive-seasons-in-cairns-month-by-month-guide/
Wow such amazing information!!! Thank you so much for making this video!!!

Thank you so much for making this video!
Thank you for your wonderful feedback, we hope it has been helpful! All the very best! :)
⚠ I don't know how to swim, but I did scuba in Andaman & Nicobar with an instructor guiding us underwater. I'm trying to book a scuba dive in Cairns, but they say you need to know how to swim. In your video, you mentioned non-swimmers can still do scuba with the instructor's help. I'm a bit confused on what is right and what is wrong! I'm planning for the first week of Jan and need to book everything fast. Can you get back to me asap? Thanks! 😊
Hi thank you for getting in touch, yes please note the main thing to try first-time introductory diving in Cairns is that you are medically fit with no asthma and not be taking any prescription medication. PADI also recommends allowing up to 24 hours after diving before flying. Please note if you cannot swim but you really want to try a dive there is a wonderful day boat in Cairns where the dive guides really do want you to have an amazing experience and even do the swimming for you underwater. They will link arms with you underwater and move you along. Please check out here - cairnsdiveadventures.com.au/tour/reef-experience/
@@CairnsDiveAdventuresAustralia Thank you for your quick response; quite helpful and I booked it 🙏
Thank you for making this video for all of us!
You are welcome thank you for your feedback! :)
Awesome video! I'm planning on being in Cairns in late November. Is that a good time to enjoy these kinds of tours? Will the water be warm and calm enough? Will the weather be sunny often enough? Thanks!
Thank you we hope it is helpful! :) Yes please note November can be a fantastic time of the year, generally nice and warm water conditions around 26 / 28 degrees Celsius. Also, it is the time you can get 5/10 knots of wind so very calm seas. Sometimes you can get rain showers but this is more late December and January. We have a great article about the Dive Seasons In Cairns It is a Month By Month Guide please see here - cairnsdiveadventures.com.au/diving-tours-cairns/dive-seasons-in-cairns-month-by-month-guide/

Nice video really helpful
Thank you! :) Hopefully, there was some good information in there for you! All the best!
Hello there, I’m coming to Cairns soon and having a hard time to choose which reef is the best for me and my friends. We are not a good swimmer, but we love to try snorkelling on the GBR. Age from 48 - 70 years old. I’ve seen all the reef’s videos and still undecided which one to choose. At first we shortlisted on Quicksilver. Don’t mind can u give some suggestions on which one to choose. Many thanks mate
Do you know (approximately) the avg price of a scuba diving 1 day tour?
Depending where you travel, the further the boats travel offshore in general the more fuel they use so in turn the more they charge. If you click on the Cairns Dive Sites map you can see where each boat travels too and see there prices when you click on the name of the boat. See here - cairnsdiveadventures.com.au/cairns-dive-sites/
😍😍 I am becoming a fan hahaha lovelyyy kid and amazing images
Thank you! :) Cairns is a beautiful tropical paradise and an awesome place to dive & take pictures, all the very best! :)
Great video! I am from Spain and I have my work and holiday visa granted!! Cant wait to live in Cairns during some months from October. As far as I can see you have a dive adventures company, I have a question: Are there any chance to work for a company like yours with the PADI open water title? I would not care the task if there are options to work near the majestic coral reef barrier.
Hey that is fantastic you will be in Cairns during October! That is one of the very best times of the year to dive and snorkel on the reef due to the low wind, warm water and genrally blue skies and sunshine! Yes please note if you are looking for work there is a large reef company that are always looking for staff check them out here - www.quicksilvergroup.com.au/careers.html all the very best and have a great time! :)
hi thanks very much for such a informative video. Actully I am planing to come to cairns to see GBR during end Oct- Biginning NOV. Is this good season with calm sea conditions with good Visibility for a diver with 60 dives. Hopefully there are solo diviers like me to buddy up during dives. Also pl let me know how to choose between pro- dive and Ocean Quest which one better with respect safety and comfort. Since most dives are unguided diver safety is most important. Also is it safe to dive without any guide in barrier reef unlike in other places there is always some one will be there to guide a group of 5 to 6 divers.

Hello yes that is fantastic you are planning to come and dive OCT / NOV in fact in our opinion those are the two best months of the entire year to come and dive in Cairns. Generally very low wind, beautiful warm water and no rain with blue skies and sunshine. Yes you will be able to buddy up with another certified diver on the boat, and if you are looking for comfort in your boat and the chance to get a dive guide then you should look at the Ocean Quest - they have TWIN share cabins with private bathrooms and the boat is a large TWIN hull vessel so nice and stable in the water. See full trip details here - cairnsdiveadventures.com.au/tour/deep-sea-divers-den-liveaboard/
Very imformative video. I left a comment on another one of yours as well. I love taking underwater videos & photos, and I can't decide if I should go with a tour company from Port Douglas or from Cairns? Which of the reefs of Port Douglas or Cairns do you think are more visually pleaseing for taking video & photos of? Thanks in advance.
Hello Adam, thank you for your feedback. Yes please note in a perfect world depending on your budget, if you have the chance the best recommendation is to dive from both Port Douglas and Cairns. There really is stunning diving from both locations and if you can catch it on a beautiful day with blue skies, lots of sunshine, and calm seas both diving from Cairns and Port Douglas offers fantastic opportunities to shoot nice clear colorful videos and photos. October is generally a stunning month to dive on the reef from both Cairns and Port Douglas each year. We have a reef map here that explains a bit more about the dive sites please see here - cairnsdiveadventures.com.au/cairns-dive-sites/
@@CairnsDiveAdventuresAustralia I'll keep that in mind next time I am up that way. I've done Cairns now, so Port Douglas will be next on the list 😊😊👍👍 ua-cam.com/video/j7YhUYNGl3U/v-deo.htmlsi=yrXWX_wPVDMhZo8i
Hi Clint, spectacular video. I'm heading up to Cairns for work at the end of July. I can't decide if I want to head out to the GBR from dive companies from Port Douglas or Cairns. Which of the two loactions do you prefer to dive at?
Simple and right to the points needed, thanks it was very valuable
Thank you for feedback, we are trying to create helpful and insightful content, it great to hear! Please let us know if there is anything else you would like to know and we can try to make a video about that.

Thanks for the valuable info hi what is a pantoon?
Hello Nivedita, yes please note a pontoon is like a floating man-made island. They include semi-submarine tours, glass-bottom boat tours, and underwater observatories. This gives you many ways to see and enjoy the reef even if you do not swim! Please see here to give you can idea - cairnsdiveadventures.com.au/tour/sunlover-cruises/
Very helpful thanks as I be over at the beginning of march 👍
Hi Scuba very fantastic thank you for the feedback and yes see you when you come over! The water temp is super warm at the moment 28 degrees! All the best!

wow, I want to run to the Great Barrier Reef in Cairns with my family right now! What a great video.👍

Thank you so much for this - really useful for getting ideas together. We're coming up from NSW in May and it's our first time up on the GBR and really were struggling to get our head around how it all works up there!

Nice video, will check out that plugin.
Thank you! Yes, the Nik Collection plugin is a great little tool with so many features!
Could I get dive certified there itself? Or could I dive without certification?
Hello Mansan, yes please note there are 3-Day/2-Night Open Water learn to dive courses available please see here - cairnsdiveadventures.com.au/tour/reef-encounter-3-day-open-water-learn-to-dive-course/
There are so many options struggling to decide! Would like to snorkel and visit a couple locations but don’t want a big group and would like to see sea turtle too!
Hi, Juju yes there are a lot of options, but yes for snorkeling the Reef Encounter 2-Day/1-Night will be absolutely perfect for you can snorkel all by yourself, the reef sites offer beautiful shallow snorkeling and the chef-prepared meals are very yummy. Please see here - cairnsdiveadventures.com.au/tour/reef-encounter/
So valuable! This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for taking the time to make the video.
