Thanks for uploading this gem! I first heard this back in 84? I was 12? There is a hostel in London called the clinks that was the former studio where the Clash first recorded their albums. The new generation of backpackers and young staff staying there were totally oblivious about the Clash!

Fantastic! I used to own this LP as a teenager. There were four versions of the Radio Clash on it; two per side. I always enjoyed side B the most. Politically inflammatory stuff at the time. Takes you back. Chur!

I had the original Clash cassette with all the versions of this song. But I think I threw it out, along with most of my cassettes, when evil developers tore down my building to build a condominium. 😢

One of the coolest ever 12" UK Singles! I saw The Clash "Live" at the Palladium in Hollywood, California on June 16,1982! Tragically, James Honeyman-Scott, of The Pretenders, died that very day. We got the shocking news on the way to the gig listening to KROQ FM Radio.

Perhaps the true post modern decade and one of the world's greatest bands to touch that moment (imo). My buddy had this and would bring it out when we were all goofed up. Thanks again for putting this out here.

Was there ever a funkier, more naturalistic singer than Aretha? If so, I never heard him or her. Ray Charles comes close, IMHO.
