we held an offsite for our relationship (again)
Переглядів 384 місяці тому
It's common for a tech startup to have an "offsite" where they send all of their employees to a remote destination to get out of the normal every day minutiae of the work and have potentially course-changing conversations for the company. We decided to do this for our relationship... again. Back in 2021 we tried this out for the first time and thought it was eye-opening for us to create a venue...

headshot photography session

I did a short photography session with Donna in Long Island City at Gantry Park / Hunters Point South Park a few months ago to get her some headshots for her website. This is a little behind-the-scenes of how I captured the photos. See Donna’s website here: www.chiacounseling.com/
our quick road trip to toronto
Переглядів 655 місяців тому
Back in November we did a quick road trip up to Toronto in Canada. We were co-hosting an in-person event for one of the startups I've been working on, Nominee. I started recording and wanted to do a vlog but I had a lot of different things going on at the same time and didn't get to record/narrate everything. I was sitting on this footage and didn't get a chance to put it all together until now...
spruce peak run at stowe mountain (iphone 15 pro test footage)
Переглядів 695 місяців тому
I've been a lifelong GoPro user but I recently got the iPhone 15 Pro for the new camera features. I wanted to see how it performed while doing a top to bottom run so I recorded this while at Stowe Mountain in Vermont back on January 27th, 2024. I recorded this in ProRes Log using Action Mode, so it was recorded at 2.8k at 24fps then upscaled to 4k. I didn't use a tripod, I was just holding my p...
how do i record podcasts?
Переглядів 709 місяців тому
Jess and I started podcasting a month or so ago. To make it really easy to record our conversations at our dining table I built up this portable easy-to-setup podcast cart that has everything we need to record and not cause a mess every time. Making the practice easy also helps make recording our episodes every week easy to commit to and we get consistent recordings every time. In this video I ...
5 google fonts i'm enjoying lately (not poppins or inter)
Переглядів 45311 місяців тому
font are expensive. many of my clients don't budget for font licensing. also many cash-strapped designers find themselves limited when it comes to typefaces they can use. that's why google fonts is a great place to play with fonts without breaking the bank for licensing. i wanted to share 5 fonts that i have been liking lately and have enjoyed using for designs that may not be as well known as ...

i know i've been riding fixed gear for the past a couple years, however, i just pulled out my specialized diverge e5 from storage and decided to make some changes to it as well as update a few parts that have been wearing out. i want to use this bike for more longer distance riding and eventually want to try taking it on a backpacking trip. today i'm finally taking it out to test out my work. i...

3 creative projects i did today (youtube glow up silhouette cameo)
I'm picking up a Langster tomorrow, 54cm, it looks like hardly any miles on it. 2015. good price, new tires but I'll probably get rid of the big bull horns handle bar eventually. Nice vid.
hope it gives you plenty of years of good riding!
Looks sick man!🤯great job!! What size and type of wheels and tires are you using? I'm thinking of upgrading my Diverge e5 as well, hopefully soon I can have my bike like yours. cheers bro✌
Wheels are 700c 50mm from Superteam that I de-stickered
thank you for video, I ordered mine from Aki Asahi as per your suggestion, received the replacement leather for my leica m3 within about a week! I've taken off the old dried up skin and now will attempt to put the new leather on, thanks again.
Proper way is to remove the camera body.
Not leather it’s vulcanite.
Regular Camerastrap, D-Screw on the bottom of my camera and a 7€ Dog-seatbelt and I’m good to go.
same what i did to mine
Down for friends off-site! 🫂
👍👍👍
Trąbka!
That shirt is 🔥
That transition to Sunday was dope!
Love it ❤
Thank you very much, I did not find a Strap model for MO Sony HX99 which only has a support hook, I will copy your idea and I will like you !!
Great idea!
Anek is actually pronounced "uh-nake" which in few Indian languages means 'many' or 'multiple'
Wow beautiful. You are talented in design.
Looks awesome with the tailfin aeropack!
I love a good media cart.
it does remind me of the AV carts i had in high school, with the power cable and all
Like that center bag do have a link to share where to purchase Thanks
Yea, you can find them here: www.ovejanegrabikepacking.com/collections/frame-bags/products/1-2-pack-frame-bag
Digging the production on this one!
thanks! i thought this was going to be a quick video idea but the edit ended up taking me a few days, so i am glad that it connected!
Very nice content ❤
Hey man, long time no talk but if you ever feel like adventuring up to or around Vermont let me know. Would love to go for a ride with ya.
that sounds like it would be pretty awesome! let's get in touch. maybe in the fall
cool vid. pls attach that carbon bike frame by the seat post, not the top tube. hate to see you damage your bike.
Interesting enjoy.
Looks like a super fun and relaxing trip! 🙌🏽🔥🙌🏽
Welcome back!!! ❤
welcome back! looking forward to the content
Nice job with those edits!
name of the bag? do you have the buying link?
It’s the DB roller bag
Awesome! I gotta do this. My m3 chipped huge piece today, almost identical to what happened to yours!
Getting some new leather on it again will definitely make you want to go out and use it more! As others have mentioned, try to keep the lens cap on when peeling off the old leather. It didn't affect my camera but it's a very good tip!
Nice Soulection hat! I also find myself lacking motivation before my workouts, so maybe I’ll check out Ghost.
xty got it for me! yea pre-workouts are a game changer
Two handed form looking good! Love me some Ghost supplements too. Their energy drinks and gamer products are my go-to if I need an energy boost before workouts or for the day. Whenever I'm in a mental slump, exercise has been helpful. Going for a walk, strength training, mobility work, stretching, etc. Just puts me in a better mood overall.
Hoping when I get back to long runs it helps break me outta this funk! I saw the gamer-specific powders, was so curious. Maybe it'll help my tetris game!
When you said “ I just know internally I want to make videos” I really felt that.
I love your vlogs - it’s a nice reminder for me to look back at my own vlogs and enjoy the memories. Totally get how it’s not about the views. I love using it as a place to reminisce. Also a nice reminder for me to vlog again.
I do mostly tend to lurk tho 😅
thank you honey! still hoping to make YT like the new age xanga. where we just ramble honestly about our lives without doing it for the audience, and the people who find you and can connect with that end up being your best friends on the internet
@@jamescabrera signing up for this future xanga style immediately. 🥰 trying to figure out a workflow for myself where the vlogs are more casual and less of a tedious "thing i want to/have to do on my list" but knowing that it's something i want for the sake of having for future me is step 1. ❤ community > audience
I love Before The Coffee Gets Cold ❤
Just realized I messed up the first location. Should be LIC and not Jackson Heights!
Ayy appreciate the shout out. These vids are genuinely entertaining/interesting plus it's good to see what the homies are up to. Keep em coming!
That shot at 6:02 looks insane. LOL at the bubble tea hate. Probably better than the LI spots.
looked even crazier in person! yea people in LIC don’t understand the boba life
Loved the part about why you vlog and the friction. Thanks for sharing!
Hey! First of all, I wanted that plant too!!!!! 😤
Vlog hype. Those Trader Joe's frozen meals are legit. Fan of the butter chicken one as well.
don’t get me started on the fish nuggets
@@jamescabrera ooo haven't tried those. Guess I know what to get on my next visit
looks clean as hell man im looking at one in red/black size 49 is what i am looking for as well! Shorter guy with shorter arms as well. I ride a 70mm stem and 70mm reach drop bars you still digging this langster or onto something else by now?
thanks! i have moved on to the affinity lo pro, i have a similar bike check video on that and had taken some parts from this for that. i still have the langster though, it just has gone back to the stock bullhorns and steel wheels. not gonna lie tho, contrary to fixie diehards i prefer the geometry of the langster than the typical fixie frames, it just suits me better and is more comfortable. the lo pro is super aggressive and a stuff ride.
I already saw this bike for sale on google, can you tell me the name if you bought it?
Feels like going down memory lane in gta
Bit late, but FYI homie you can use elastics to hold the break of the binding up, so that you dont have to worry about them getting damaged at all! Loved the vid.
good tip! i do have the orange black diamond ski straps. will give that a try next time. thank you 🙏
Congrats guys! Photos came out great.
thank you!
🎉🍾🥂👏🏽😃❤️

Ayy getting back into running as well after taking a bit of a hiatus. How'd your legs feel the day after? Just finished my run and can already feel the soreness creeping in.
dude, they were so sore. i ended up skipping yesterday bc i had dr's appt in the city and jess and i ended up walking around shopping all day. feet hurt now. regroup after the new year starts monday lol
@@jamescabrera Yeah always brutal after those first couple of times getting back into it. I usually just end up doing short walks for a few days until the soreness subsides. Helps get back into the routine of getting out there and exercising.
Best of luck with your endeavors! Stoked to see what's to come to UA-cam.
Are the images raw or edited?
Just light color editing with lightroom, but nothing beyond some highlights/shadows, brightness/contrast etc. I didn't go in and clean up any objects nor do any spot coloring.
