Hey Claire, oh my gosh. You are so relatable, sorry you are having a time it all. You’re not alone. I just started HRT, hair loss yes and I’m tired all the time, especially in the afternoon, completely wiped out. But my facial flushing has calmed down. My sleep is absolutely crap at the best of times and for 8 months I have been dizzy/vertigo and this has been the worst for me. I’m not driving and feel like home is my safe place. Walking my doggies and being in public is hard when dizzy. It’s also very disorienting. I felt the GP wasn’t listening, he passed it off at first for sinus problems to maybe an inner ear infection. It took 24 weeks!!!!! to get yes… a call, not a face to face appointment to see an ENT specialist via NHS. I’m seeing the ENT next week to do balance and eye exercises that can take up to 6 weeks to see improvement or to see a change (these exercises are also on the NHS website) I’m also currently doing these exercises, I’m not sure if it’s helping to be honest. I do chair yoga which I enjoy. It’s so frustrating. Like you, I went down the tablet route, didn’t think that made a difference. Sorry for the long reply 😂 - someone commented for you to get your thyroid checked, you should. I’m on tablets for my thyroid (couple of years now) and I’m certain I read somewhere that thyroid and the changes we go through are linked. I get it completely and yes, wish these health professionals would LISTEN. I hear you girl, keep trudging on. You’ll get there! We all will. ❤ to you all.

It took me 3 and a half years to find the right hrt and dosage. I was near to giving up on it. Tried gel and spray with not much result and finally got benefits when using a mid range 75mg patch. I have a mirena coil for progesterone which seems fine though i still annoyingly bleed. I found the pharmacist attached to the surgery the best for advice and monitoring results as i wasn't getting anywhere with drs. I think boots and superdrug do some sort of support too but not sure what they are like. Also i use boots 50plus multi vitamins, holland and Barrett marine collagen (swear by) and a 1g evening primrose and starflower capsule (helps my unusual itchy boob symptom which dr says is hormonal) , good luck with everything, very relatable x

I love your walks!!! I hope things settle for you. I am 62 and was told NO HRT after an illness and hysterectomy at the age of 47! I explored Menopause without medicine and actually coped ok. Evening primrose for boob pain worked pretty well for me. Starflower oil is a good one. Energy levels have been my thing but I know that walking actually helps a lot! and a good laugh is the best! My advice would be not to be too influenced and Keep trying to stay healthy. Spend your money on what brings you joy!! 🍁🍁🍁

If you are still taking that testosterone that will make your hair fall out. It's why men go bald. I'd bin it if I were you. Doctors often do more harm than good actually, I would be very wary of them.😒😟

I've lost hair at times in the past, it is extremely worrying, but it passes. Hair is such a part of our femininity, isn't it? I'm a couple of years ahead of you in peri. It's been a wild ride! Chin up. You look great. My symptoms improved hugely by taking an antidepressant AND HRT. Maybe something to consider, if not already.?

Claire ** Please get your Thyroid checked and I mean REALLY CHECKED !!! You may have to do it quite a few times because it done by checking you TSH and your T4 (Look those up ) which can show as normal. So you need to do it often to get a good read. It's just a simple blood test. Many women your age develop Hashimoto's thyroiditis it is super common now. Your thyroid basically keeps your whole body in check. Google 20 signs of thyroid problems. I have mentioned this to you on many occasions, it is simple BUT SPECIFIC blood work. Please have it checked. xx

Starflower Oil (H&B 1500mg) has been great for hormonal issues. Might be worth reading up on it x

Go easy on yourself though - you’re doing all the right things. Little treatments and a haircut or colour will lift you so keep scheduling those into your diary. I just got all the emotions back watching you walk round Stamford. I managed the Halifax bank there for 2 years when I lived in Peterborough. I've heard great reviews about that mascara, I won't bother now. The old version maybelline pink one with the curved brush is fantastic. I think you'd look amazing with a chin length bob. The dress is lovely, it looks beautiful 😊
