That looks Wayyyyy more painful then it needs to be ……… I had this. The more puss the easier. I had massive swelling was on antibiotics already before puss showed and I realized what it was. Made a needle incision. Then squeeze. If you can keep the needle entry moist and “clean” to keep it from scabbing it’ll continue to act as a drainage for a few day until it closes up. Also allows time for antibiotics to kick in. If you cant keep the incision clean or work with liquids, detergents, or raw meats; let the incision close up because you risk other infections. Depending on severity, You might likely pus again and need redraining.

All you had to do was stick a pen deep into it and move it around

for future reference soak your finger and then use something blunt to separate the side cuticle/hang nail from the nail. the infection is below the upper layer of skin

For everyone watching this there's a way easier less painful way to do this! Go to pharmacy get a finger protecter. One like for a broken finger and wear it until it heals! Youll be amazed!

I just Did this.12a.m. Mine was on my middle finger,swollen as Sh** red, and lime green. Was going to the doctor but I just did it myself. I didn't have anything real sharp around so I used an edge of an ear ring, and some Peroxide. Busted it, got some shut eye. You cut way to much my man!! Lol
