Pirates Across the Stars | Soundtrack Medley
A medley of various tracks from Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars, Doctor Who and Avatar.
Basically, I noticed 'Marry Me' from Pirates had a striking resemblance to 'I'm So Sorry' from Star Wars and the rest just sorta happened.
Music taken from the original soundtracks.

BBC The Ascent of Man Title Sequence
Переглядів 1019 місяців тому
The title sequence to the BBC's 1973 documentary series, 'The Ascent of Man' by Jacob Bronowski. Couldn't find a video of just the title sequence, so uploaded one myself! The series itself is beautifully put together and has aged shockingly well for saying it's half a century old. If you have access to iPlayer, I'd recommend giving it a watch.

This show is all the more beautiful when you think about the rise of fascism in the western world.
Episode 10, 11, and 12 starts to sound a little like rogue one. Specifically this part at 2:14
Andor is not just a brilliant show. Its a briliant social commentary about little ordinary people rising up against tyranny and injustice. As Director Krennic would say, "oh... so beautiful!"

2022 gave me two pieces of media I had no interest in when they were first announced: Top Gun: Maverick and Star Wars: Andor. It's 2024, and I consider Maverick better than the 1986 film, and Andor better than all three seasons of The Mandalorian combined!
2 is my fav
雅楽でやってほしい
If each Disney Star Wars project were of this caliber…
Bad batch surprisingly beats out the other live action shows. Still not got nothing on Andor though.
John Williams would be proud
All intro themes combined at the end made me ascend to a higher level of existence
I think it's basically the Eda, Raine leitmotif
My favorite would have to be Episode 12. It’s not quiet and then builds into a crescendo. It’s loud, chaotic, and violent from the start. It tells you that everything that the show has been building up to is paying off now.
These go crazy hard. The amount of feeling instilled in these is exceptional.
4 tells you the rebellion is ramping up, it’s no longer willing to hide in the shadows, its been pushed too far and now it wants to retaliate.
FIGHT THE EMPIRE!
The intro for Rix Road is so perfect for a finale episode. It perfectly foreshadows the funeral band, while simultaneously sounding foreboding and hopeful/powerful.
Épisode 9 >>
4:23 a detail I loved here is that you can see raine and eda holding these weird desserts, and Lilith is just in the background looking sullen.
the celeste/glass marimba/EP synth for Episode 5 is just.... wow something about the childlikeness of those instruments with the terribly dark theme of the episodes really hit me. And with strings harmonics. Beautiful. The kalimba in Ep. 6!! Wow that's a crazy touch
"Promo sm"
I think you’ve figured it out with this division of combining the themes for each arc. All of them at once sounds a bit crowded, but all of these arcs sound balanced and have their own feel to them. I would be interested in including episode 10 in the third arc and having the fourth be just 11 and 12, since the divisions end up working that way in the completed show even though they aimed for 3-episode arcs
Something that not a lot of people are saying: the mixing on this video is REALLY good. Not only did you find the patterns in each intro, I can tell you edited them to enhance the differences in the themes. I've seen others do all the intros combined, but you do a really good job with splitting them up so the viewer can tell the different sounds apart, and then combining them so we can hear elements of each arc. Also the scene editing was awesome too. xx- Me
they did a good job making her look older :)
If you've watched Andor, watch it again. Pay attention this time.
I like Aldhani a lot
And the axe forgets
I miss Andor so damn much.
2025 can’t come soon enough
@@Lmarkot2 3 years of waiting... we're truly soldiers.
I got chills when they put the mulefa's world in the main sequence, any other adaptation would have easily just cut them out
It was clearly a stretch of the budget putting them onscreen, but I'm glad they didn't just scrap them
The beginning of the Rix Road theme feels like an approaching storm
This would really help someone learning to play music, different modes of playing with the same melody.
Wow! I didn't even noticed that they were different!
Fuck The Empire 3:00
Frick the empire
The melody in Episode 10 sounds like Cal's theme from Jedi: Fallen Order!
Probably because it draws on more traditional Star Wars instruments
Andor...is just phenomenal. I mean you can tell they put in the effort to make it all possible. It's a beautiful series and the rewatchablility is insane.
god, literal CHILLs at the last one. it seriously feels like a reckoning with all the brass, but unlike the original version it has the harmonic backing of all the other sections and what they have to support the instruments. such a good theme, such a good edit, such a good show.
Andor is the best thing ever happened to star wars...
10,11, and 12 hit hard for me, for some reason.
I know they only gave Michael Giacchino four and a half weeks to compose the score for Rogue One, and he was a last minute replacement to do the score on that film, but what he did was so disappointing next to the likes of John Williams on the main films. It's such a pathetic, even irritating score for most of the film. Much of it feels obvious, and the rest is jarring. From the very first moment you can tell it's not John Williams and it's not even close. It doesn't feel like Star Wars. It doesn't feel like the music has any real connection to Star Wars and the universe at all. The music is immediately forgettable, and you're glad to forget. Nicholas Britell, the composer for Andor, has a real talent, and notably he was able to start scoring the series before filming even began. Showrunner Tony Gilroy insisted on that, so they could have the theme be used as diegetic music in the funeral for episode 12. It's meant to be amateurish, "street music" at its core. And then it got cleaned up a bit, using different instrumentation, for each episode's theme. It's directly linked into the show, into the world, into where the character Andor comes from. For most shows I watch, I pay very little attention to titles and end credits, often skipping the latter, but the Andor music gripped me immediately, and I took the time to enjoy every second of these episodes. I didn't want to miss a note, and it had my full attention.
The rendition of the song in For the Future makes me cry every. single. time. And I have no idea why, that entire scene just breaks me
Each theme building up and contributing to form a beautiful symphony is just priceless. Nicholas Britell did a fantastic job with the soundtrack.
4:53 this one is so satisfying
I think it might be my favourite. It was definitely watching that intro sequence that made me want to put this video together.
