Fun with God

Welcome to "Fun with God" with Travis & Meagen Hacker! This is both a parody of Sheldon and Amy's "Fun with Flags" from "Big Bang Theory", and a silly look into a scene from scripture. Today's episode features Exodus 32:15.

This guy needs to back off and let the student experience the ercoupe
This is an update from July 2024. I bought an LSA Ercoupe with a C85 engine. I have been flying it now for about a year. Still liking it. The farthest I have flown it was a triangle needed to pass the check ride. The biggest problem was finding and examiner who weighed less that 220 lbs. That would have made the plane over gross.
rudder pedals? Great video.
Nice plane! Camera view is annoying tho 😅.
Aeronave bonita
Very informative video, thank you for sharing it, I don’t own an Ercoupe, but I would love to have one.
needs a new cowl, I got one
Is there a height limit for the Ercoupe? I’m 6’2”…wondering if it would be too tight.
I love Ercoupes and watching this video i realize that i have actually washed this airplane before! Great video!
Thank you! Small world lol, and I'm related to a Mathis family in that area. Thank you for the care you've provided to the old girl!
@@travellintravis6373 It was love at first sight when i saw it. A pleasure to help care for her, keep flying man! I'm sure I'll end up over that way at some point. See you then.
Dude I just learned a bit about these planes - looks awesome. Keep up with the videos!
Thank you, will do!! Having a blast but need to get back up there some more. Yeah they do have a fun history. So simple yet so well engineered!
I recognize that runway, Salem IN.
That's the one!
I also own one. Great airplane. And they are all different,,,,but fly the same.
That's awesome, they seem rare until running into folks like yourself. I've only been in the one, that's actually very interesting to hear. But have noticed instruments always seem set up differently in videos.
Not a cult….but truly a family.
Your ercoupe is terriffic! You are one of the most favored because of having that plane! Thick wing with healthy dihedral and that most classic twin rudder look! TOO COOL! I am sooo proud of you...if you taxied up I would hug that little plane!
Thank you so much! I appreciate that and totally agree, that old bird gets a lot of attention lol. Means a lot to me too, this one was my dad's along with a fun story, brings back childhood memories and all. Thanks again, and whenever that day comes this little plane will appreciate that hug!
I want to give you another upvote! I come back to this video over and over again.
That's awesome, thank you so much Lynn!! That means a lot, was hoping these could be helpful in addition to the fun of it. Cheers to learning together!
Very fun video! Please consider using full screen and not split and blur. Many thanks...nice coupe!
Thank you!! Will do, and I appreciate the feedback. And I appreciate you hanging in there, agreed that split screen and blur is definitely not ideal.
Seen better days
Yep lol
Thank the gods at 4:55 someone knew to hold the smartphone horizontal when filming NOT vertical. lol Quite distracting otherwise.
Yeah lol thanks for hanging in there. I'll do the whole go pro thing eventually, just some initial shots right now..
@@travellintravis6373 A wonderful airplane - sadly all MY Ercoupe-ing is in Microsoft Flight Sim 2020 - lol
Well I'm with you, love that simulator! That's where most of my miles are by far lol. That Ercoupe model in the sim drives me a little nuts though, the landing needs fixing. Thing keeps gliding and doesn't want to come down. Hope they fix it soon because it's a beautiful model beyond that.

That is a nice bird indeed. Happy Flying. Mine is N99573 you can see it on Flightradar24, Do a search for the N number
She is an absolute beauty!! That's awesome, and nice paint job. Happy Flying!!
N2687H here. Either of you flying to osh this year?
@@onepropmind welcome!! I wish, will probably be a few years before I pull that off but definitely aiming for it!
I started my training in my own Ercoupe in May 2022 and I am working toward a Light Sport license. I am always curious to study the flight instruments on various Ercpipes. They are all different from each other. Good luck, maybe I'd see you at a fly-in sometime.
So true, it's definitely surprised me to see how different they each seem to be. This one could use a few upgrades lol. Hope that training goes very well, and looking forward to that!
Mine all bounce all over the place 😂😂😂😂
Ah yes, I will perform a touch and go with my touch down point halfway down the sub 3K foot runway
Lol this sounds trollish but I'll engage. As mentioned in the video, particular wind conditions that day led to the decision of pointing further down the runway. Gusty wind interacting with a hill/mound by the start of the runway was causing some extra turbulence there. Plus the Ercoupe doesn't pose a threat to overshoot the sub 3k runway. But keep trolling, and thanks for the comment!
Make more Ercoupe vids, they're always a hit. I own one too.
Will do, thank you! Got a little more on the way but hopefully down the road a lot more. My goal is to take over caring for this plane, which is kind of a family heirloom, and join you in the Ercoupe owners club 😎. Sounds like you should be making some of these vids too!
@@travellintravis6373 I'm still getting instructions on flying the Ercoupe safely. I started to learn to fly (C150) in the late 70s, but never got to finish. Now I'm retired, so I am going for it. BTW, my son and I have a PA28 140 but he took it to A&P school with him. I'm frustrated though because of bad weather in Idaho still. Global Fake Warming.
@@lynnkramer1211 that is awesome, sounds like you've got a big head start on this! I hope finishing that Ercoupe training is going well, especially with summer rolling in now. I've finally started a position making this Ercoupe dream of mine a more affordable reality. Maybe one of these days we'll run into each other at one of those Ercoupe fly-ins!
I hope it is not too late to ask some questions if you don't mind. How long did it take you to get signed off for a PPL or an LSA license? I just bought one of the LSA type and it is 85hp. I am beginning to prepare to undertake to get an LSA license 1st and then work my way up to PPL or similar with add ons.
Hi Lynn! Definitely not too late, thanks for asking! I don't have mine yet, that's actually an instructor with me who happens to be my cousin. Was hoping I would be able to get by with an LSA, but that Ercoupe is just over the requirement and needs a PPL. I think the LSA would take 20 hours while the PPL needs 40. Racking up as many hours as I can with my cousin to save a lot of money, and beyond that for the fun of it. Ideally I'd like to get this done within a year, but we shall see how realistic that ends up being.
@@travellintravis6373 I don’t understand what you mean by “the Ercoupe is just over the requirements and needs a PPL.” Do you mean that your Ercoupe is not LSA qualified? I.e. gross weight is 1400, not 1320? By the way, there is no LSA rating. LSA refers to the aircraft. The certificate is Sport Pilot. Cheers!
@@kenthompson3730 yeah that's all I mean, it's just over the weight limit. We weren't sure and were hoping I could get away with the sport certification, since the Ercoupe is all I'm really planning to fly. But due to the weight of this one I need to go PPL.
g58 is my favourite aircraft!
After some time with it in the sim I can see why, she is an absolute beauty and a whole lot of fun!
